Children's group as a tool for achieving work-life balance

The thesis discusses the problems of reconciling work and family life, focusing on the provision of services in a children's group under Act no. 247/2014 Coll. The theoretical part defines basic concepts relevant to work-life balance and briefly summarizes the options of preschool children care in the Czech Republic. The first part also elaborates the legal formalities of so called children's group. The practical part aims to assess the current situation of a specific children's group, reveals its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats and on their basis formulates recommendations for its future successful operation. When processing this paper, literature review, description, questionnaire, depth interview and a final analysis and synthesis of knowledge utilized for formulating future proposals are used.
Work-life balance

This bachelor work focuses on adaptation process of new employees in a particular company. The goal is determination of adaptation process and comparison with needs of the company on onboarding field. A few methods of quality research were used in application part. The first one is analysis of internal documents related to adaptation process. The second is application and analysis of structured inquiry of head of human resources department of the company. Application part of the work brings evaluation of analysed adaptation process.
Motivation and evaluation of empolyees

My bachelor thesis is focused on motivation and assessment of employees in the company. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the influence of team building and benefits on employees' motivation. Literature based theoretical part of my thesis describes and investigates the real meaning and purpose of motivation and basic motivational concepts. Furthermore, I outlined the basics behind employee benefits, team building and also stated the current given trends in these areas. The practical part is focused on benefit and workplace research and their impact on the general motivation to work and the relations between the employees of the Czechoslovak Commercial Bank (ČSOB). In order to collect the best results, I used the method of questionnaires. Respondents were asked to answer questions considering their satisfaction with the system of employee benefits and the importance of teamwork. Based on the survey results I propose certain changes that should lead to motivation improvement and better job performance.
The Welfare State in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom

The bachelors thesis under the name of Welfare State in the Czech Republic and Great Britain is dealing with a comparison of attitudes of both countries towards the idea of Welfare State and comparison of chosen indicators. Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on description of the Welfare State and its historical development on the teritory of both states and also on strategy Europe 2020 which is supposed to help with problems that current welfare state encounters. Practical part consists of comparison of differences between both countries. Especially comparison of indicators regarding economic growth, minimum wage, unemployment and poverty. At the end of the thesis are recommendations which could help with the state of current welfare state.
Models of social policy in the European Union

Bachelor thesis titled "Models of social policy in the European Union" characterizes the social models in the European Union and the comparison of selected indicators. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on theoretical background of social policy followed by the historical development of social policy in the process of European integration and typology of social models that underlie the understanding of the issue. The practical part is trying to provide general view of social system in the Czech Republic and find out how social policy of the Czech Republic approximates to the European social model. In conclusion, there are some suggestions for improving Czech situation.
Employment of people with physical disability

Completed Bachelor´s thesis is about employment of physically disabled people. It has a theoretical character followed by field research as a content of the practical part. In general, this work is divided into two main parts and few partial chapters. In the first two chapters of the first part is debated and described legislation, rules and laws that this legislation requires and the definition of a person with handicap in the legal code that is valid in the Czech Republic or in European Union as well. Following chapters consist of unemployment, particular problems connected with an unemployment of person with handicap, preparation for the working proces and entering the working proces itself plus options for people with handicap and the active politics of employment. In the practical part is field research made of survey and interviews. From both survey and interviews are deduced conclusions and results.
Employee development in the insurance market and actual trends

This diploma thesis deals with employee development and actual trends. The aim of the thesis is to analyze topical situation in the area of employee development in the insurance market. Another aim is to provide comprehensive overview of the level of development and main trends. It emphasizes the importance of education and development, mainly through the knowledge of human capital and competitiveness. The thesis includes definitions of terms such as learning, development, education or training. It is focused on vocational development and its integration into the system of human resources. The thesis shows stages of employee development and its systematic approach. Next chapter deals with chosen development methods and describes its pros and cons. Some trends are described throughout the thesis. They are summarized and completed in the last but one chapter. Practical part deals with research based on a questionnaire filled out by development specialist from insurance companies and insurance brokers from Czech Republic. Information obtained from the questionnaire is supported by semi-structured interview with an employee of an insurance broker. The survey is concerns four areas: development system, development methods and actual trends. Last area concerns internal and external development and budget. Problems are identified on the basis of analysis and recommendations to increase efficiency are proposed.

This thesis focuses on the process of recruiting and selection of employees in the company Kostelecké uzeniny a.s. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical part resumes theoretical basis regarding the recruiting and selection process. It is based on the academic literature. The process of recruiting and selection of employees in the company Kostelecké uzeniny a.s. is described in the practical part. It is mainly based on interview with director of Human resources department of the company, provided materials, website of the company and annual reports of the company. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the process of recruiting and selection of employees in the company Kostelecké uzeniny a.s., its comparison with the theoretical basis and suggestion of new improvements of the process in case of need.
Employee motivation and employee benefits in Henkel s.r.o.

The goal of this bachelor´s study is connection of theme of employee motivation and employee benefits through the theoretical and practical parts. In theoretical part, I general summarize the knowledge, which were written in professional publications, where are explained the definitions of motivation, sources of motivation, theories of motivation. This part will be finished by summary of facts about reward system by benefits, I also explain the advanatages and disadvantages of benefits, which are essential to employee satisfaction. I will continue by practical part. At first I introduce selected company and afterwards I will analyze employee satisfaction in company Henkel s.r.o. by data from the questionnaires, fulfilled by employees of Henkel CZ. I will study if the employees are motivated right and also remunerated by packet fo benefits.
