Static analysis of reinforced concrete walls with additionally made openings
Šimek, Ondřej ; Borzovič, Viktor (referee) ; Vítek, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the implementation of additional openings in reinforced concrete walls from the point of view of structural analysis. Two types of walls are analysed: panel walls and infill shear walls. In the introductory part, the current state of knowledge in the methods of analysis of this issue is discussed and their advantages or shortcomings are pointed out. Several types of wall specimens with pre- or post-made openings with different types of reinforcement representing the state after an additional opening is made are proposed and their behaviour is experimentally and subsequently numerically verified. On the basis of the data obtained, methods are proposed for the structural analysis and the design of reinforced concrete walls with additional openings. For panel walls with openings, the analysis method using wall models is extended and the method of static assessment is specified. The method of analysis for infill shear walls with an opening using equivalent diagonal bar strut has been extended to take account for the reinforcement and its load state. The proposed structural analysis methods were applied to a real prefabricated house with an additional opening and to a hypothetical frame structure with a proposed structural intervention in its bracing system.
Benchmarks and test facilities of VVER reactors
Šimek, Ondřej ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe the topic of benchmarks and test facilities for pressurized water reactors of the eastern concept VVER type. The theoretical part introduces the VVER type reactors, their history, the development of separate generations, including fundamental differences and parameters of the VVER type reactors being used so far. Next two chapters of the theoretical part focus on nuclear safety and security, describing the uppermost Czech authorities, which are SÚJB, MAAE and NEA. Furthermore, many terms concerning nuclear safety are explained in these two chapters. The next chapter is focused on deterministic safety analyzes, their classification, methods and purposes. The aim of this part is also to explain the verification and validation of computing codes. The next chapter offers insight into test facilities which are crucial for evaluation and testing of nuclear devices and computing codes. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the VVER type reactor benchmarks. The practical part of this thesis presents the conversion of a single AER Benchmark FCM_001 using neutron physical code PARCS. The results are compared to the results of CRONOS computing code.
Production process monitoring system
Šimek, Ondřej ; Musil, Martin (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
This thesis deals with production system monitoring using the SPC method. The reason for the introduction of the SPC system is in an effort to improve the quality consistantcy. This master thesis consists of three parts: Teoretic part: to solve the basic access and process for the aplication of SPC methodics. Practical part: includes the descripton of comtemporary quality control and propositions for the SPC method. Conclution:Conclusions and recommendations are made on the basis of the data evaluation.
Design of the circle concrete tank
Šimek, Ondřej ; Chalabala, Jiří (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma‘s thesis deals with the design and assessment of prestressed cocrete tank of biogas station at ultimate limit state and also at serviceability limit state, according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1: Design of concrete structures. Specifically, the design of wall of the tank and foundation slab. The text part contains general information on the desing of the structure, static idealization of the structure, type of load and method for calculation of inner forces. Attachments contain drawing documentation and structural analysis, which completes the text part and solves in detail said structure.
Design of equipment of spent nuclear fuel assemblies
Šimek, Ondřej ; Rausch, Ivan (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
The diploma thesis aim to the design of equipment for ŠKODA JS a.s., which is part of a new inspection stand (N-SIO). This equipment is an inspection column that provides the possibility to inspect spent fuel assemblies at the operation of the Temelín nuclear power plant. This master thesis is also a summary of the whole design of the new inspection stand and a description of the individual inspection components and devices. One of the parts of the thesis is also a basic strength analysis and a drawing of the main assembly of inspection equipment.
Design of the uderground part of the building
Šimek, Ondřej ; Hrubý, Tomáš (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with the design and assessment of reinforced concrete monolithic supporting structure of underground garages under apartment building at ultimate limit state and also at serviceability limit state, according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1: Design of concrete structures. Specifically, the design of the ceiling slab, girders, the selected column, the selected part of the wall and foundation under columns. Other parts of the building are not solved in the project. The text part contains general information on the desing of the structure, static idealization of the structure, type of load and method for calculation of inner forces. Attachments contain structural analysis, which completes the text part and solves in detail selected elements of the structure and the drawing documentation.
Analyssis of unconventional technologies for sawing.
Šimek, Ondřej ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The main theme of this work is a survey of contemporary knowledge in the area of unconventional technology of material cutting. Emphasis is placed on both - machines, tools, principles and parameters of each method - and comparation of all methods among each other and recommendation of these methods for practise.
Design Analysis of the Load-bearing Structure of an Office Building
Novotný, Tomáš ; Šimek, Ondřej (referee) ; Švaříčková, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is the design and assessment of selected reinforced concrete structures. Specifically, it is ceiling slab D1 above the 5th floor, reinforced concrete ribs P1 to P6 on the floor, a column over all floors S1 to S6 was designed and assessed, and a basement wall ST1 was designed in the basement. Using the Dlubal RFEM 5.28 program, a 3D model of the entire object was created and subsequently the internal forces of the individual elements were determined. The result of the work is a static calculation, shape and reinforcement drawings, which were made using the Autodesk AutoCAD 2022 program. The partial design and assessment of the above elements was carried out in the FIN EC program.
Static solution of a typical floor of an apartment building in Oslavany
Kurtin, Ladislav ; Šimek, Ondřej (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a typical floor of a residential building in Oslavany. The first part deals with the design of the ceiling structure above the second floor and the construction of the staircase. Using a slab model in SCIA Engineer 22.0, the internal forces on the floor slab were determined and the structure was assessed for ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. The staircase was modeled with a member and slab model. Finally, a simplified assessment of the ceramic block masonry, specifically the intermediate bearing and perimeter walls, was performed. The bachelor thesis contains the structural calculation and drawings of the above mentioned elements.
Experimental Verification of Making an Additional Opening to the Reinforced Concrete Walls
Šimek, Ondřej ; Zich, Miloš ; Požár, Michal ; Nečas, Radim
The subject of the article is to present the results of experiments of prefabricated reinforced concrete walls that were loaded prior to the making of an additional opening. These are walls that simulate a regular wall in a wall panel building, into which an additional opening is made. The walls are reinforced with different variants of reinforcement: from simple reinforcement with wire mesh to standard reinforcement around the perimeter, in the lintel and the pillars. The influence of so called "sleeping reinforcement" is studied. This reinforcement is pre-prepared in the panel for the case of making an additional opening. The effect of this reinforcement on the development of cracks and changes in strain on the panel after making the additional opening is studied. Long term monitoring of the panels with newly made opening is also conducted as a part of the experiment.
