Analysis of selected effects on water management solution storage function of reservoir system

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the effect of water loss by evaporation in the water management solution storage function of reservoir system. To determine the size of the effect of water loss by evaporation is used simulation model. The simulation model is created with SOMVS. Determining the size of water losses from reservoirs is made simplified method. Loss of water by evaporation is solved for selected level hydrologic reliability of evaporation. To find the optimal size of the storage volume of the proposed reservoir are used all optimization methods included in the SOMVS, that is the grid method, Monte Carlo method, the modified gradient method and differential evolution.

Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance using Benchmarking Approach

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial performance of the company P-D Refractories CZ a. S. Using the benchmarking method. The first part of the work provides theoretical background for the issue. The second part of the work contains an introduction to the researched company and a situational analysis of the company. The main part of the diploma thesis follows, namely the benchmarking of the company with selected competitors. At the end of the thesis, the main findings of the analyses are summarized and recommendations for improving the company's performance are presented.

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on the evaluation of the financial situation of the selected company Keramika Letovice spol. s r. o. for the period 2012 - 2016. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter there is an introduction to the objectives and methodology of the work. The second chapter focuses on the theoretical part and the definition of used indicators, which will be used in the next chapter dealing with the analysis of the current situation. The final chapter will propose measures to improve the financial situation of the selected company.

Music in advertising in Studio Zlín between 1930 and 1940. Martinů's The Lady's shoe in context

Anotation The Diploma paper, which is focused on advertisements of Studio Zlín in the 1930's, gives a coherent review of history, development and the role of advertisement in the Baťa company and reaches as far as the promotional motion picture in Zlín. It was being formed in continuity with the development of sound motion picture, which appeared, as one of the first, in Paris. This is where Bohuslav Martinů (8 December 1890 - 28 August 1959), who composed advertisement music Střevíček (The Lady's shoe) for the Baťa company in 1935, stayed at the time. The motion picture is classed with the period context of the film industry, sound motion picture and film advertisements. The goal of the presented text is to analyze in detail the music component of the promotional film Střevíček and to compare it with the other six Zlín advertisements. It was necessary, in order to compare these films, to study the function of sound dramaturgy in film (advertisement) and to deal with existing sound instruments and their proportions in promotional films in Zlín. The result of the work is the comparison of the use of these instruments and the correspondence of sound and picture in Baťa advertisements in consideration of Střevíček. Roman maritime trade in the Adriatic area according to finds from the shipwrecks.

in english language In my work I want to follow up Roman maritime trade in the Adriatic sea. I would like to describe the most common cargo according to finds from the shipwrecks. If need be also from where to where the merchant ship sails. I Intend to focus also on parameters of Roman merchant ships, next harbours and navigation routes. I would like to point out benefits of undersea research and it's importance for contemporary state of investigation. Than I want to describe common methods of undersea researches. The work is divided into seven chapters. The first is handling with historical connection of shipping in this area. Second chapter is dealing with Roman trade ships, it's looks, size, capacity and wals of constructions. Third charter is the largest. It offers repertoary of ship's cargo. It divides the most common cargo into: amphorae, stone objects, other ceramics, art and craft objects, metal objects, grain and glass objects. Fourth charter is dealing with harbours and anchorages and fifth chapter is dealing with navigation routes in the Adriatic sea. Sixth charter is handling with benefits of undersea researches. Seventh charter concludes the work by descriptions of the most common methods of undersea researches. Concusion summary the knowledge gained.

Social and Economical Situation of Countryside in the Roman Province of Dalmatia and in the Histria in the 1st Century BC - 5th Century AD

The focus of this thesis is on the social and economic conditions prevailing in the countryside of Histria and the Roman province of Dalmatia from the 1st century BC till the 5th century AD. The thesis' chapters are dealing with specific issues of the provincial rural areas (villae rusticae, vici), legal matters (such as civic status of inhabitants or land ownership) and the general economic situation, particularly the role of agriculture within the system of production, distribution and consumption. The analysis of preserved epigraphic monuments is a crucial part of the chapter on agriculture, whose main focus is on the agricultural production - especially cultivation of olive trees and vines. The production of olive oil and wine was shown to having been far more extensive than previously thought. Other forms of production were also pointed out: figlinae (ceramics workshops), fullonicae (textile workshops) as well as salt production. Distribution and consumption were closely connected to agricultural production, and traces of trade may be followed both on land and at sea. The Importance of the northern Black Sea for the Byzantine Empire in the 6th- 10th centuries. Economic and military significance of the city of Cherson.

The main topic of the thesis is the city of Cherson, which has been under excavation mainly by Russian or Ukrainian researchers for more than 180 years. Due to a difficult political situation, the area was not accessible to other scholars till 1993. Therefore, most of the books or articles were published in Russian and have not been widely spread among western researchers. The first two chapters of the dissertation deal with the sources and the history of research. The main body of the dissertation is divided into three parts: (chapter 3) From the end of the Roman times till the early Middle Ages (5th - mid-7th centuries), (chapter 4) The Dark Ages (mid-7th - mid-9th centuries), (chapter 5) The new era of prosperity (mid-9th - end of the 10th century). The third chapter is devoted to the time when the era of Antiquity was slowly coming to its end and the development proceeded to the Middle Ages, in this case to the early Byzantine period. The fish industry and fish processing will be discussed because these activities which had begun here in the Roman times continued in the Byzantine period, too. Afterwards, the beginnings and spread of Christianity are debated. Furthermore, the beginnings of Christianity in Cherson are described, likewise the building activities, which resulted in transformation...
