Competition/antitrust law rules are neccessarry for optimal functioning of the common market with its four fundamental freedoms (free movement of goods, capital, services and persons). Competition as a contention for superiority in the market place and antitrust as a study of competition mean more or less the same. Because markets are increasingly becoming multinational, lawyers and lawmakers can no longer content themselves with understanding only the antitrust/competition law of their nation. This study will discuss the most relevant issues of competition law (abuse of dominant position) in the European Union in comparison to the US American antitrust law: abuse of dominant position, how should the competition/antitrust law act by the abuse of dominant position by companies with a major market share as well as with the concentration appraisal which is one of the fundamental basis for the abuse in general. Employment Opportunities for People with Learning Disabilities; Theory in Light of Field Experience at the Community Residental Facility in Slatiňany

This paper introduces the issues concerning people with learning disabilities and possibilities for their employment in current practice. The theoretical section comes out of the definition of learning disability, its etiology, and classification. There is also a description of the legal basis for possibilities of employment opportunities for those with learning disabilities, emphasizing both the importance of work and the necessity of motivation towards work. The practical section is dedicated to a description of the Community Residential Facility in Slatinany, where this sort of theoretical data is put into practice. This section consists not only of a description of this facility in changing times and the priority it places on providing social services, but also a description of the various forms of employment, an interview with the head of the diagnostic-methodical department and stories of specific people with learning disabilities who are employed. The role of the non-profit sector in the mental health care

This diploma thesis called "The role of the nonprofit sector in the mental health care" deals with problems expressed in the context of nongovernmental organizations that are regarded as a significant stakeholder very important actors in the issue of mental disease. Besides the state that creates predominantly political conception concerning mental health and also mostly ensures some constituents of mental health care (i.e. in the psychiatric asylums) there is also nonprofit sector playing an important role. We can observe its importance on the level of creation of the new mental health conceptions as well as on the level of response to the continuing process of deinstitutionalization of psychiatric care manifested in wider approach to mental disease and moreover its services with which the nonprofit sector completes and sometimes substitutes the role of the state. This thesis firstly deals with the mental disease as the integral part of the complex state of health of each of us, which importance is often underestimated and consequently insufficiently reflected in mental health policy in the ČR (and not only here) which should follow the world wide trend of finding out the negative consequences of mental diseases. Model for monitoring the value of enterprise Informatics: system / deterministic chaotic model

This study deals with the value of ICT services. Enterprise Informatics is a widespread line of business and it is part of every company. There are not only software and hardware resources in enterprise informatics, but also people belong into and work with informatics every day. Currently, there are new trends how to manage enterprise informatics. Based on the same principles as for the business. A prerequisite for effective management is accurate overview of the costs and benefits. For this purpose there is a group of metrics which ensure measuring the amount of inputs, outputs and quality of services. The value of ICT services should be positive. Benefits should be greater than costs. The aim of this work is to create a model for monitoring the value of enterprise Informatics. Model simulate the dynamics of enterprise informatics and describe all important parameters in terms of value. Model should also find out if there are some external or internal factors, which could bring on some random element complicating the process of effective management.

Project management plan; optimalization and practical application

This thesis handles the issue of Project Management, especially formation and structuring of the plan of project control (Project Management Plan). Formation of the Project Management Plan is one of the activities, which is performed by project manager in cooperation with customer in the first phase of project life cycle. The content of this thesis is a proposal of optimised structure of Project Management Plan with predefined description and extent of individual parts (chapters). In addition, there are different methodologies and their comparison described in this thesis, which are usually used in Project Management. These are PMBOK, Prince2, ČSN ISO 10006 and the project methodology of Siemens, which is called Chestra. These methodologies form the base for a newly formed structure of Project Management Plan. In the supplement of this thesis, there is a template of the document Project Management Plan, with which a project manager is able to form a new management plan of particular project easily. This template was created on the basis of particular project analysis within the scope and work of Siemens IT Solutions and Services Company and reflects not only theoretical knowledge, but also the needs of the particular company.

Outdoor - building teams in an organization

This bachelor's thesis deals with a form of outdoor method of teambuilding in organizations. The methodic part introduces a general conception of building teams including work and cooperation in teams, team roles and teams within organizations. In conclusion the main concept of teambuilding is outlined trough the use of experience education. The practical part is dedicated to particular forms of outdoor programs in the Czech Republic and their influence over team members with response to rope course centre. This bachelor's thesis should serve as practical manual for personnel clerks, organizations seeking teambuilding expertise and also to suppliers of these services.

The Utilization of the European Union's Financial Resources in Financing a Project of an Agricultural Co-operative Farm

Thesis is divided into twelve chapters, of which the first six can be seen as the theoretical part and a further six chapters in part practical. The theoretical part is to set out an overview of not only the EU Structural Funds, but also policies that take place within the EU. A little more work devoted to programs, and through which funds can be obtained in agriculture, from the perspective of both the pre-accession period to the EU and in the period after the entry into force. For the most part, is the thesis focused on agriculture, since the practical part is treated as a guide for ZOD Borovany how to develop the project and other elements required for the application for a grant in the new programming period 2007 - 2013. ZOD Borovany has rich experience in raising funds from EU funds, and always towards the realization of the use of advisory services firm, which deals with the processing of projects.

This thesis is about medical transfusion sphere, which has nowadays many deficits - as the other spheres in medical industry. Target of this thesis is a proposal of new equipment structure in transfusion service in the Czech Republic, which will be more effective then the existing one and which occurs a reduction of blood processing department. It includes not only calculation of basic expenses needed for installation new system and ensure operations for 5 years and comparison of both variants, but it includes also proposal of centralized managing and changes of staff secure of production process.

Italy - the potential market for further foreign expansion of the Storyous company

Restaurants, bars or cafés will always serve as places for social interaction and so they are an essential part of human life. In each country around the world, it is a place for meeting people and communication. The mission of Storyous company is to help its clients to create a pleasant atmosphere in their food service business by providing next generation POS system not only in the Czech Republic but also in Poland. The company has already experience with the electronic sales reporting that brings considerations about another international market for its expansion. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the Italian market, mainly the sector of gastronomy services and qualify and quantify the customer base in Italy. At the same time, the structure of competitors along with a brief sample of them will be introduced. The timing for the Italian market entry, the gross initial costs and the rate of product adaption will be discussed on the basis of PEST analysis and Porter Five strenghts model analysis. In the conclusion author of the thesis recommends further steps for more detailed analysis.
