Schmidt, Róbert ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Sládek, Pavel (referee)
The main goal of master thesis is to analyze and propose possible low cost Business Intelligence solution with open source technologies and comparison of available tools for implementation in middle size company. We compare Pentaho and Jaspersoft tools implemented on local hardware and cloud environment with Microsoft Azure services. The theoretical part focuses mainly on understanding the business intelligence and its architecture, because architecture is an important part of the work. Actual tools are designed as stand alone modules for specific activities in the business intelligence lifecycle. Low cost tools are often connected with open source technologies and cloud computing. This part of the work contains explanation of these terms and their advantages and disadvantages for our chosen target group of companies. The analytical part includes defined parameters by which it is conducted analysis of tools and their comparison. Business Intelligence solutions are divided according to arcitectural layers. The evaluation criteria are divided into financial, technical and user category. In conclusion, chosen tools are compared and evaluated. The main contribution of this thesis is comparison of open source business intelligence tools for implementation in middle size company. According to the EU directive, middle size company does not exceed 250 employees or profit is less than 50 million euros. The reader can compare the different solutions and their pitfalls or shortcomings that could be critical for the implementation.

Vaginal Cytology in the Bitch
Doudová, Kateřina ; Krejčířová, Romana (advisor) ; Ptáčková, Zuzana (referee)
Vaginal cytology is microscopic examination method which is used to evaluation phases of oestrus cycle and possibility of result time the best date for successful breeding. Substance of the examination is subjective evaluation of the epithelium and cell morphology. Vaginal cytology is influenced by levels of sexual hormones which are typical for individual phases of oestrus cycle. Regular physiologic changes on internal and external sexual organs happen during oestrus cycle. Canine behaviour, espacially with regard on refusal or accept dogs, is depending on phases of interval. Oestrus is in the bitch usually twice a year, in 5 to 12 month cycles. Oestrus cycle is devided into individual phases: proestrus, estrus, metestrus and anestrus. In terms of sexual behavior of females the whole estrous cycle can be distinguished into a period of sexual willingness (proestrus, estrus) and the period of sexual reluctance (metestrus, anestrus). Proestrus begins as a regression of the corpus luteum and finishes with onset of estrus. At the end of proestrus LH surge occurs after which further 24 to 48 hours ovulation follows. Proestrus is characterized by progressively increasing size of the vulva, vaginal epithelial proliferation, cornification epithelum of vagina and vulva swelling. For this stage parabasal and intermedial cells, erythrocytes and leukocytes are typical in the cytological smear of vagina. Estrus is the period of sexual willingness. In this period matured follicle burst and subsequent egg ovulation. In this cytology smear dominating superficial squamous cells are typical for this period. There can observed erytrocytes. In initial period of estrus too large intermediate cells often appear. In the next period, metestrus, the corpus luteum is gradually developing. Cytology smear from vagina is characterized by the presence of large numbers of neutrophils, typical are parabasal and small intermediate cells. In anestrus manifests luteal activity of the corpus luteum. Vaginal cytology is characterized by finding parabasal, small intermediate cells and leukocytes. Vaginal cytology is a simple, quick, noninvasive and inexpensive procedure that allows us to identify the stage of the reproductive cycle of bitches and to diagnose some pathologic conditions of the genital tract (hormonal dysfunctions, inflammatory or neoplastic diseases). More than other domestic animals vaginal cytologic changes are expressed in the bitch which correlate with each phase of the estrous cycle.

The goal of this paper is to design and implement a system for selection of Wikipedia articles relevant to a given topic in order to reduce the amount of memory taken by its offline version. The solution of this problem was achieved with use of methods from information retrieval and theirs implementation using Elasticsearch search engine. The system tries to determine the area of user's interest by given keywords and make a selection of articles from that area. This is achieved by measuring of similarity of articles and adding all articles from frequent categories in the selection. The sizes of the output files for queries over Simple English Wikipedia are usually below 30 MB.

The different types of real estate are different influences which it operates and also vary the intensity of their action. In addition to outlining the basic effects and intensity of exposure to various types of real estate work includes analysis of several influences – influences acting on apartments in major cities of our country influences in time for the usual price of apartments in Havirov and in Karvina, analyzing the factors that influence the amount of the usual price in selected locations of these cities, the impact of privatization of flats on the usual price of apartments in Karvina and size effect of floor space on the usual price of apartments.

The effect of addition of thickening agents on nanoemulsion properties.
Kovaříková, Alžběta Dorota ; Berka, Pavel (advisor) ; Doležal, Pavel (referee)
Nanoemulsions are o/w emulsions with the particle size of discontinuous phase in the range of 1 - 500 nm. They are not transparent and thermodynamically stable as microemulsions. Although nanoemulsions are usually more stable than macroemulsions, creaming, flocculation or Ostwald ripening may occur. One of possibilities to avoid such destabilizing processes is the addition of a thickening agent. The thickening agent increases the viscosity of the external phase, thus reducing the movement of the internal phase and stabilizing the entire system. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of an addition of the thickening agents to nanoemulsions. Cellulose derivatives (specifically: hydroxypropylmethyl- (HPMC), hydroxyethyl- (HEC) and hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC)) were used as the thickening agents. They were added at concentrations of 0.00, 0.15, 0.33, 1.33, 2.00 and 3.33 ‰. The samples with thickening agent concentration lower than 1.33 ‰ seemed relatively stable from macroscopic point of view. Centrifugation was chosen as a method for accelerated stability testing. It was performed with 3000 revolutions per second for 10 minutes, which was sufficient to establish the balance in the system. Samples with lower concentrations of the thickening agent (up to 1.33 ‰) had particle size in the range...

Title: Shell-like structures in the ISM: Observation versus simulations Author: Vojtěch Sidorin (vojtech.sidorin@gmail.com)1 Department: Astronomical Institute of Charles University2 Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jan Palouš, DrSc. (palous@asu.cas.cz), Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences3 Abstract: Shell-like structures are objects found in large numbers in the inter- stellar medium (ISM). They usually appear as bubbles or segments of bubbles and are believed to result from the deposition of mass and energy into the ISM by stars, gamma-ray bursts, or high-velocity clouds. Interstellar turbulence may play a role in their creation too. These structures influence the dynamics of the ISM and are also linked to star formation. In this thesis, I review our current knowledge of the ISM, interstellar turbulence, and shell-like structures in the ISM. Then I present the research into the GLIMPSE bubble N107 conducted in collaboration with my colleagues. N107 is a dusty shell-like structure found in our Galaxy. We explored its atomic, molecular, and radio-continuum components; derived its distance (3.6 kpc), size (radius of 12 pc), and expansion velocity (8 km s−1 ); and identified 49 associated molecular clumps. Using numerical simulations, we estimated the conditions under which N107 formed and concluded...

Sociality and ecology in ground squirrels (tribe Marmotini).
Matějů, Jan ; Vohralík, Vladimír (advisor) ; Macholán, Miloš (referee) ; Zima, Jan (referee)
of the Ph.D. thesis Autor: Jan Matějů Name: Sociality and ecology in ground squirrels (tribe Marmotini) Ground-dwelling squirrels are parafyletic group of rodents from the family Sciuridae (tribes Marmotini and Xerini). Ground-dwelling squirrels are semi-fossorial inhabitants of treeless biotopes. They share most aspects of general biology. They usually breed once a year, have exclusively diurnal activity and are omnivorous. On the contrary, ground-dwelling squirrels display different levels of sociality, which makes them an ideal model to study different ecological aspects connected with evolution of sociality. The first part of the Ph.D. thesis is focused on the relationship between sociality and sexual size dimorphism and relative and absolute size of brain. At first, supposing that different levels of sociality are connected with differences in intensity of sexual selection acting on males, we tested association between sociality and sexual size dimorphism as well as association between sexual size dimorphism and body size - so called Rensch rule. Next, we tested correlation between sociality and relative brain size. In agreement with the Social brain hypothesis, we assumed that e.g. solitarily living species should have smaller relative brain size than species living in stable pairs. We found...

Factors influencing how long a dog stays in a shelter
PRŮŠOVÁ, Zdenka
There were 1 643 dogs accepted to the dog shelter in Tábor in the years 20082015, wherein the amount of annualy accepted dogs slightly decreased. Dogs, that were returned to the original owner, spent shorter time (median 1 day) in the shelter than dogs, that were left alone and found a new home (median 18 days). The shelter accepted more male than female dogs. Simultaneously, male spent in the shelter longer time than female. Most of the dogs accepted to the shelter were younger than 1 year. The most common colour was black, the majority of dogs had a short and soft hair. Hybrids predominated among accepted dogs, following by German shepherds, Labrador retrievers and Dachshunds (or their hybrids). Dogs with a good character prevailed in the shelter. Data on abandoned dogs were statistically processed. There were found a significant effect of following variables on the length of stay in the shelter - age, height, purebred, temperament, colour, length and type of hair, and also the month of entry into the shelter. With increasing age and size (height) of dog there was demonstrably extended length of dogs stay in the shelter before they were adopted, as well as an aggressive character and dogs accepted in the shelter in October or November. Interestingly, the visually purebred dogs (corresponding to a certain breed standard) looked for a new home longer time than hybrids, provably. On the other hand, dogs with a light-coloured, soft or short hair and dogs accepted in February or April stayed in the shelter shorter time. When advertising the abandoned dogs for adoption, it is necessary to focus primarily on dogs that spend in the shelter longer time on average that means male dogs, large dogs, older dogs, dogs with long, black or rough hair and aggressive or temperamental dogs.
