The reserves of the constitutional position of the SAO in comparison of similar institutions in our history and selected European countries

This diploma thesis deals with historical development of the Czech Supreme Audit Office and its foreign analogies. The subject of the thesis is to evaluate the current legal status of the Supreme Audit Office and then propose possible modifications with reference to the regulatory audit institutions in European countries. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part contains material study, theoretical introduction to the control and audit and then examines in detail the historical progress of the Supreme Audit Office in the Czech Republic to its current form. Other chapters are focused on different foreign institutions which are responsible for the national audit. The practical part highlights the differences between the control authorities. The comparison of individual offices is analysed on the basis of the Lima Declaration of Guidelines on Auditing Precepts.

Hospodářské a sociální důsledky odsunu sudetských Němců z pohraničí Československa

Diplomová práce Hospodářské a sociální důsledky odsunu sudetských Němců z pohraničí Československa pojednává o změnách ekonomiky a společnosti způsobených odsunem sudetských Němců z pohraničí. V první části je uvedeno jak se ocitli Němci na území Československa, co přinesli nového a jaké problémy způsobovali. Druhá část se věnuje vybraným dekretům prezidenta republiky, které právně zformalizovali uskutečňovaný odsun. Odsun jeho fáze a způsob, kterým byl prováděn je popsán dále. Třetí stěžejní část práce objasňuje konkrétní důsledky odsunu Němců a problémy spojené s nahrazením německé menšiny. V poslední části ukázány tendence vývoje pohraničí v období po únoru 1948. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit změny, které se v pohraničí děly v poválečných letech 1945 ? 1948 způsobené přímo i nepřímo odsunem sudetských Němců z Československa. Záměrem práce je identifikovat hlavní pozitiva a negativa odsunu Němců a zhodnotit kladně či záporně význam pro ekonomiku Československa.

Cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse

The diploma thesis deals with cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse. The Cross-border cooperation is one of the most interesting forms of regional cooperation. Theoretical part of thesis discusses basic terms, history of CBC and its development and importance in regional policy of the European Union, the development of Euroregions and the financing possibilities of CBC in the Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion Neisse, which is the oldest Euroregion in the Czech Republic. The attention is paid mainly to projects implemented in the tourism. Euroregion Neisse has very favourable natural and cultural-historical assumptions for development of tourism. The objective is to evaluate cooperation in tourism in the context of cross-border cooperation in 2007-2013.

Artistic films produced by the pharmaceutical company Sandoz

The aim of this Master’s thesis is to analyse formal and thematic layers of the artistic films produced by the pharmaceutic company Sandoz and to put them in the relation to
the specific history of the company. Sandoz laboratories produced mainly in the 60’s and 70’s several artistic films (e.g. La Femme 100 Têtes which was the adaptation of Max Ernst’s collages or Images du monde visionnaire with the presence of artist Henri Michaux). The thesis explores some of the films and, at the same time, describes the production background and cinematographic context in the relation to the history of Sandoz laboratories.

Reflections on the Chechen War in Czech documenatary film

Bachelor thesis deals with the image of the Chechen conflict in the Czech documentary film in the 90‘s and tries to understand the environment in which this image was created. Much of the work is devoted to the social and political context of the time. This is especialy a formation of institutions after Velvet revolution such as People in Need and Epicentrum agency, which significantly contributed to the media interpretation of the conflict. Thesis also analyzes the television documentaries reflecting Chechen war in terms of content and tone. Finally considers to what extent was the message of the documentary film makers influenced by ideological attitudes and social order. The aim is to determine what factors influenced the final form of films and on what basis it was biasd to the on side of the conflict.

Social meanings of local food and its consumption

Farmers markets, system of bio-boxes, community supported agriculture, yard sale and stores, is a summary of alternative forms of selling local food which can be found on our market. On the other side the newly established sections or shelves in supermarkets are
starting to provide and include local food in their product range only after consumer pressure.
Local food does not fall into one particular definition. Each of us under this designation can specified to what extent or distance of locality means to him. These foods have several advantages over conventional foods. Among the advantages is included growing in the Czech Republic, the absence of imports from distant countries, harvesting food at the time of ripening and more.

Mapping small sacred architecture in the northern Pilsen region

This work deals with small sacral architecture in the selected region of northern Pilsen and specifically around the village Unesov. Small sacral architecture in this area are mainly crosses, chapels, statues and Calvary.
The aim of this work is a detailed study of small sacred architecture in selected areas in terms of natural and historical contexts. The search part is devoted to the essential characteristics of small religious monuments and historical maps on display. Part of the research is devoted to sights not religious origins. The key outcome of this work is small monuments catalog with detailed documentation of each object and using the ArcGIS geodatabase created.

The influence of Asian culture on business- case study of Chinese culture

Topic of the thesis is to explain the influence of Asia culture on doing business, specifically focused on Chinese market. It analyses cultural differences and points out the importance of culture in business. In the theoretical part, the most important factors as well as all cultural influential factors are mentioned. Definition of culture itself is presented together with basic cultural elements and differeces among cultures. Further on, cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede, one of the eminent world culture-scientist, are described, specifically focused on interaction among different cultures and organisational cultures.
Practical part then puts more emphasis on the Chinese business culture itself. Topics such as business negotiation differences are starting the practical part, followed by behaviour patterns after coming to China and meeting future business partners with Chinese roots. After explanation of all the basic differences " on the first sight", author goes more into details and explains detailed differences connected with traditions, rules and all other necessary information about how to behave in the Chinese business enviroment. Thesiś focuses on all formal collective behaviour concepts, which are very important in the Chinese culture as well as its history and philosophy, which influences both their personal and professional life every day.

Economic, legislative and social impacts of gamble gaming and bets in the Czech Republic

This thesis analyzes gamble gaming, bets and lottery in the Czech Republic. Historic context of hazzard and view of economic theory and the game theory is described in details. This thesis deals with the economic, social and legislative impacts of gamble gaming and bets. Current changes and issues are analyzed in depth, there are also views of the particular subjects included within this analyze. The thesis proves via argumentation the inadequacy of the current legislative framework in the field of gambling and predicts what possible consequences the extensive legislative changes may bring. The Thesis studies the approach of former works dealing with the subject and methods of hazzard social expenses quantification. Current environment of gambling is analyzed on the country level as well as on the municipal level (As an example town Třešť and Jihlava were chosen).

Analysis of factors influencing the mortgage market in the Czech Republic

The topic of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the factors influencing the mortgage market in the Czech Republic. The first part explains the basic terms related to the mortgage loan. Then follow characteristics of different mortgage loans which a client is able to get on the local market. Next there is a description of the history of mortgage lending in the Czech Republic and its development to the present day. The first chapter of the analytical part defines the factors which has influence on the development of the mortgage market. In the next chapter these macroeconomic factors are analyzed and evaluated. The objective of the work is to create a simplified model describing the interaction of macroeconomic variables and the mortgage market, used to estimate the future development and managing banking risk.
