Control system for the hardening furnace
Chovanec, Jozef ; Malounek, Petr (referee) ; Mikšánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
Subject of this work is to create control system for abyssal hardening furnace and project regulation of temperature. The function and construction of furnace is introduced. Next there are compared currently installed control system B&R 2005 and designed system B&R X20. Part of the work is economic analysis . Temperature in the furnace is controlled by algorithm, which should accurately follow given temperature curve in each of six section in process of heating workpiece.

Reproducibility and accuracy of polarization mode dispersion measurements
Kováč, Filip ; Brouček,, Jan (referee) ; Šifta, Radim (advisor)
Thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is written rather in theoretical way. It deals with general formation of the dispersion mathematically and verbally. It focuses on the chromatic and polarization mode dispersion. Different types of optical fibers for category G.65X are mentioned as well in connection with the ITU-T. Further attention is drawn first to compensation and then the measurement both of the mentioned dispersions. The thesis describes also analyzers and their main features. The second part is devoted to practical measurements of polarization mode dispersion. In the beginning there are described the components used for construction of the optical measurements and topologies. It is followed by an analysis of an each optical link. The results of these measurement methods and their mutual comparisons are at the end of this section. Measurements in temperature chamber is the subject of a further practical part, which from the beginning captures the essential features of the temperature chamber. This is followed by a description of the measurements, analyses and final valuation depending on the amount of polarization mode dispersion versus the temperature.

Analysis of temperature profile of 3D printer hot bed and hot end by using CAE
Severa, Tomáš ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with 3D printing for non-commercial RepRap 3D printer type and materials used in printing. The outcome of this work is a brief introduction to 3D printing, the theory of heat transfer and analysis of the two most important parts of the printer hot bed and hot end. To analyze and optimize the temperature profile of the hot bed and hot end are used Computer Aided Engineering systems CAD and CAE, SolidWorks and SolidWorks Flow Simulation.

Use of the software PLC in thermal engineering of buildings
Hubený, František ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Pásek, Jan (advisor)
This presenting master’s thesis deals with a problem of digitaly controled room temperature using the software PLC. The result of this work was creating of an algorithm to control temperature on the requested leve ofl setpoint, minimizing operating costs of the building. The PLC softwares from different manufacturers were analyzed and compared with conventional PLC. The testing facility was disigned and used to control the temperature in the room and data visualization. Room temperature was regulated by PS controller or two point regulator.

Study course of refractoriness corrosion processes by vanadium basic melt at high temperature
Vršecký, Michal ; Frank, Vítězslav (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
In this diploma thesis was analysed layer of corroded material created on refractory lining of reactors for mazut gasification. Samples of corroded material were analysed for SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, Fe2O3 a TiO2. Corroded material was further analysed by x-ray and IR spectroscopy to acquire more precise data about chemical composition. This thesis studies the exact effect of microstructure on static corrosion kinetics in system SiO2-Al2O3.

Design of heat exchangers for high temperature applications
Jonák, Martin ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Kermes, Vít (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to thermal-hydraulic design and rating of heat exchangers with the specialized commercial software HTRI. These heat exchangers are solved for real high-temperature applications, where the hot fluid is a flue gas with high temperature (above 500 °C). In the thesis is made a brief analysis of the conventional design of heat exchangers usable for high-temperature aplications, description of the basic relations, description and brief user manual of software HTRI. Further, work includes a comparative study of methods for calculation of pressure drop of the fluid at 180° elbows, as support analysis for solution of required applications characterized by low pressure drop of process fluids.

Effect of a switching arc on design of low voltage switchgear
Šimek, David ; Bartlová, Milada (referee) ; Aubrecht, Vladimír (advisor)
The first part of the master thesis is focused on theoretical analysis of the problems of diagnostics of an electric arc physical properties. In the thesis there is shown identification of spectral lines in experimentally measured electric arc spectra. The thesis deals also with energy balance of the arc. Next part of thesis is aimed to theoretical analysis of effects of electric arc on construction materials of low voltage electric apparatuses. The main part of thesis is devoted to experimental measurement of arc radial temperature changes, measurement of cathode temperature and research of electrical arc effect on selected construction materials of low voltage apparatuses.

Influence of the Temperature on the Dielectric properties epoxy with ground mica
Ráček, Tomáš ; Havlíček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The paper is focused on theoretical analysis of the basic characteristics of dielectrics, especially on the examination of these qualities at samples of epoxy sealing compound filled with powder mica, and their dependance on the temperature and the content of filling in the material. The measured quantities are inner resistivity, relative permitivity, and loss factor. The paper also deals with the sensitivity of the material to humidity, and through the influence of humidity to the other measured quantities.

Optimization of Slab Concasting Via Numerical Model of Temperature Field
Mauder, Tomáš ; Čarnogurská, Mária (referee) ; Pyszko, René (referee) ; Raudenský, Miroslav (referee) ; Kavička, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with optimization of the continuous slab casting process. The thesis summarizes the basic analytical and empirical findings concerning to the solidification process, the numerical modeling and the selected optimization techniques. Physical conditions and factors that affect the quality of steel including their relationships are also described. The basis of the solution strategy is the original numerical model of the temperature field in its off-line version. The numerical model was verified by the real historical data. The optimization part is based on the fuzzy logic implemented above the numerical model. The optimization algorithm is used for the optimal control of the casting process. The universal usage of the optimization model is demonstrated on several cases, e.g. the finding of optimal casting parameters that ensure the high quality of products, the optimal reactions on breakdown situations, the determination of an optimal relationship between casting parameters, etc. Based on optimization results, the suitable caster modification to increase the surface temperature at the unbending point was proposed. The whole concept of the numerical and optimization model is general and it can be applied to arbitrary slab or billet continuous casting.

This bachelor’s theses deal with possibility of realization manual air-conditioning adaptor analysis, which would enable automatic adjusting of elected temperature into a car. Part of this analysis is block proposal of type of analog and digital construction of automatic air-conditioning adaptor. Both block diagrams are accompanied with functional description. Due to pro-and-con evaluation of both types of construction was decided to realize analog version of air-conditioning. Detail partial functional description of functional blocks and analytical analysis of its influence to general temperature adjusting accuracy are presented. Within bachelor’s theses is performed circuit proposal of all partial blocks of manual air conditioning adaptor. Component of proposal is creating of all bases for construction of functional equipment model. Final phase of bachelor's theses deal with realization of functional adaptor model and its calibration for measuring and temperature control into a car.
