The first chapter describes the reasons for this increased need, examines national and international documents and steps which have been taken to solve this problem. The second chapter describes the physiological changes of adult learners during the process of ageing and their motivation for studying. The general rules and description of specific didactic methods occupy the third chapter. The fourth chapter is dedicated to adults with special learning needs. Their number is increasing as is the real need for solving their problems. The fifth chapter is a summary of the most common reasons for the failure of language studying from both the point of view of the student and the study organizer. This work concludes that there is a lack of understanding about adult education due to a widespread belief that adults are not capable of studying and that more information should be made available. Another problem is with the quality of language teachers. The ideal teacher should have sufficient pedagogic education as well as good personal qualities to be a trusted adult adviser and guide during study. He should also motivate adult...

Medical Tourism in the Czech Republic and Possible Involvement of Ministry of Health in its Support
Víchová, Alžběta ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zeman, Martin (referee)
The goal of this master thesis is to analyze issues connected to medical tourism, to show, how the Czech Republic could benefit from supporting this niche and imply whether this support is worth it. Bearing this in mind, I suggest a plan of medical tourism support, which could be implemented by the Czech Ministry of Health. In the theoretical part, the term medical tourism is defined and it is determined what implications medical tourism might have for both source and destination countries. The legal framework on medical tourism is described and I mention reasons why it should be the Ministry of Health's responsibility to support the segment. The analytical part describes and analyzes in depth the current state of medical tourism in the Czech Republic. A research on the hospitals' position on medical tourism has been carried out. Furthermore, a questionnaire had been sent to embassies of the Czech Republic around the world. Based on discoveries made in the analytical part, I conclude that although medical tourism in the Czech Republic has certain potential, this potential has its limits. The main limit might be that public hospitals have little motivation to seek for revenues outside of subsidies. In accordance with the aforementioned, I suggest a plan on medical tourism support for the Ministry of Health and a budget of its implementation is also established. The thesis also mentions its possible connection to medical export.

Analysis of the privatization process in Russia in the nineties
Mustivaya, Julia ; Půlpán, Karel (referee) ; Mlčoch, Lubomír (advisor)
This work aims after more than twenty five years to assess the processes of privatization, which took place at the end of the twentieth century in Russia. Analysis of the privatization, its legal framework, realization and the consequences will enable us to conclude that a change of ownership form from state to private one alone does not guarantee the emergence of effective owner and proper functioning of the market economy. Privatization of state enterprises could have a positive impact on economic activities of entities only if it was accompanied by the necessary institutional transformation, which would provide a precise specification of property rights, the creation of the actual mechanisms of their exchange and the emergence of market competition.

Využití principu mikrofinancí v podmínkách České republiky
Ostrá, Eliška
Ostrá, E. The use of the principle of microfinance in the Czech Republic. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2015 This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of microfinance and the possibilities of using the principles in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis outlines the general principles of microfinance and how they have been successfully applied in other parts of the world. The next section evaluates the situation of disadvantaged sections of Czech society, particularly in relation to the employment market. The practical section focuses on the proposal of a pilot project, the aim of which is to assess whether micro-financing methods from developing countries can be successfully applied in the Czech Republic. In the principle, the main purpose of the pilot project would be to provide microloans to start-up businesses to generate more work opportunities for disadvantaged groups, and thus promote greater social inclusion and cohesion. Finally, the thesis concludes with a discussion of the suitability of implementing a microfinance pro-gram within the Czech Republic.

Right to life
DIVIŠOVÁ, Petra
My baccalaureate work deals with the issue of right of life. From the very outset of the existence of mankind the human race has been concerned with the question of right over life and death and in the 21st century the mankind has not yet managed to solve this dilemma in a satisfying way. Right of life poses a basic human right which is the pre-requisition of all other values. The objective of this work has been to find out whether it represents a truly universal right or whether there are exceptional situations in which this right is not always applicable. In my baccalaureate work I have focussed on the issue of right of life as related to an unborn child. I wondered whether an unborn child should be subject to rights and whether the public gives him or her right of the right of life. The theoretical section of my paper deals with the protection of an unborn life from the legal, medical, psychological and religious points of view. The empirical section of my paper consists in my own research in form of a public opinion survey regarding the question whether an unborn child should enjoy the same right of life as a person already born and whether the public would appreciate a more rigid protection of this human right in case of an unborn child. The research results show that an unborn child enjoys only a generally interpreted right of life. The society does not guarantee an unborn child the same right of life as in the case of a person already born. Not even the public has expressed the need of a stronger unborn life protection. According to the current public opinion, the society is not authorised to guarantee the right of life of an unborn child by legislation, it is solely and exclusively the mother who can decide about the protection and life of a conceived child. The public expects the issue of human right of life of a conceived child to be solved more on the preventive than on the repressive level. Prevention is also the priority of the appropriate state social policy. Further research in this field could focus on the issue of the impact of state social policy on the decision-making process in women as related to their unborn children.

VEBROVÁ, Petra
The target of the thesis is to sketch out which factors can influence the decisions of young women to have or not to have a child, what the women consider important at the decision making, etc. The thesis consists of a theoretical as well as of the practical part. First chapter informs about the current situation in the Czech population (the natality trend {\dots}). The chapter about the role of a child in society and its importance for parents stands separately. The theoretical part ends with chapter, that predicates about a situation when woman has no child ever (voluntarily or involuntarily). The practical part {--} the research, or better a probe by a depth interview {--} should show on the particular answers of 12 women, what is important for them at the decision for or against having a child. Further on there are mentioned their opinions on marriage, voluntary childlessness, etc.

Fiscal Rules in the European Union
Výprachtická, Terezie ; Šmídková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Schneider, Ondřej (referee)
ABSTRACTS PART I - The EMU and its Fiscal Rules This paper treats the fiscal rules of the European Economic and Monetary Union. It begins by introducing this union's inception and by discussing its set of fiscal rules - the Stability and Growth Pact, including its reform. The rationale for policy coordination and the need for fiscal rules in a monetary union are then investigated. The Stability and Growth Pact is then assessed from this point of view. The most important part of the paper is devoted to the analysis of whether the Stability and Growth Pact could be substituted by the disciplining effect of the financial markets. Our findings suggest that there is certain interaction between the financial markets and the governments' decisions on the fiscal policies and that this reaction has become stronger after the beginning of the latest financial and economic crisis. However, the institutional setup and market conditions in the European Union are such that this interaction is biased and thus we conclude that the Union needs to have fiscal rules.
