Accessability of Social Services in the Issue of Domestic Violence Against Women from the Perspective of Social Workers.
SVOBODOVÁ, Nikola
Domestic violence in Czech Republic has been for a long time and unnamed taboo. In the 1990's it came to legislative changes, none-profit organizations interested in this phenomenon were established and they started to promote this issue among the general public. Nowadays there is growing an intensive need that forces us to explore domestic violence in our country. The aim of the study was to ascertain the availability of social services for victims of domestic violence according to the opinion of social workers. There was used a qualitative research strategy. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with six social workers, who were selected by an intentional (purposeful) choice, and who all work in the field of assistance to victims of domestic violence. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts related to domestic violence, its character, forms, reasons, the course of domestic violence, the typical profile of the offender and the victim. In the next section I focused on the legal framework, which is valid for the Czech Republic. One chapter is devoted to social services providing their assistance to victims of domestic violence. In the last chapter there are social services concretized to those, operating in České Budějovice. The practical part describes the results of qualitative research, based on individual case studies located in the appendix of work. Thanks to compiled research results there was an opportunity to look into the issue of assistance provided to victims of domestic violence in the regional capital city of České Budějovice, and find out whether this service offer meets the demand of the clients who use them. The results show what kind of various services organizations offer to its clients, in which catchment area, in what form and how many clients are they able to take. Research also showed that the offer of social services for the city of České Budějovice is sufficient, but according to respondents, there are still things to be improved. There is an option to contact a number of organizations providing assistance to victims of domestic violence. However, this situation is not as positive in the smaller towns of the South Bohemian Region. The work could, in my opinion, contribute to greater public awareness about service provided for victims of domestic violence.

ŽEBROVÁ, Ivana
The society faces the challenge of ensuring high-quality, available and economically affordable social and health care for their elderly citizens at a time when, given the demographic trend, the proportion of people aged 65 and more who are dependent on assistance of other people increases and when at the same time public financial resources are limited. The aim of the thesis is to determine what changes occurred in the use of support services for seniors in Central Bohemia Region in connection with Act No. 108/2006 Coll. The research results show that clients of social care services are most often eligible for care allowance in the 1st degree at maximum and use it mostly partially.Seniors most often seek social care services but these are generally focused on individual simple activities and they lack effort to carry out comprehensive assessment of a client´s situation and planning of care. Cooperation of support services with local authorities in the area of Central Bohemia Region might help.

Janečková, Barbora ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Břicháček, Václav (referee) ; Hájek, Karel (referee)
The doctoral dissertation contains of a definition of spiritual emergency, differential diagnosis, description of kinds of spiritual emergency. It looks on the therapeutical possibilities in working with these states. Part of the dissertation is analysis of semistructured interviews with clients and therapists who work with these kinds of problems. In the analysis of the interviews with therapists I center on their experience with the dynamics of spiritual emergence, its manifestation and possible existence of similar traits of clients with this diagnosis. Important parts of the interviews are the most effective ways of working with these clients. I was also interested in their own perception on how spiritual emergence occurs and on the possible change in the quality of life of the client after this episode. In the analysis of the interviews with the clients I question when spiritual emergence occurred, how it started, how long did it last and what were the reactions from outside. Important part is centered on the interventions which the client experienced and their efficiency. Case studies demonstrate typical traits described at spiritual emergency, as quite dramatic beginning, complete recovery and also an important change in value system.

Client side scripting using meta-programming
Petříček, Tomáš ; Mareš, Martin (referee) ; Bednárek, David (advisor)
"Ajax" programming is becoming a de-facto standard for certain types of web applications, but unfortunately developing this kind of application is a difficult task. Developers have to deal with problems like a language impedance mismatch, limited execution runtime in web browser on the client-side and no integration between client and server-side parts that are developed as a two independent applications, but typically form a single and homogenous application. In this work we present the first project that deals with all three mentioned problems but which still integrates with existing web technologies such as ASP.NET on the server and JavaScript on the client. We use the F# language for writing both client and server-side part of the web application, which makes it possible to develop client-side code in a type-safe programming language using a subset of the F# library, and we provide a way to write both server-side and client-side code as a part of single homogeneous type defining the web page logic. The code is executed heterogeneously, part as JavaScript on the client, and part as native code on the server. Finally we use monadic syntax for the separation of client and server-side code, tracking this separation through the F# type system.
