Social exclusion in Central-Bohemia region and Hradec Kralove region, its evolution, characteristics and possible models of social work in these areas

Bohemian lands and the War of 1813
Kessler, Vojtěch ; Bělina, Pavel (referee) ; Stellner, František (advisor)
In my work I try to analyze the war events of the year 1813, which took place on our land. I focused mostly on the reactions to the events from the inhabitants of the cities and the countryside. Therefore the key questions were - how did the inhabitants see and understand the major war events of their time. I also kept in mind the reflection about the economical difficulties caused by the military actions, or by a simple passing of the armies. For the obvious reasons I focused on the inhabitants of the north of the Bohemia region. It turned out that the war is still understood by a simple man of the beginning of the 19 century as a God's deal or as a caprice of the mighty. The people realized it's destructive potential only if it directly affected them. We could say that the level of the disagreement and the laments is inversely proportional to the distance between the places where the battles took place or where the armies were passing and the residences of the people manifesting them. Despite the sufferings of the war and the economic exhaustion, very soon after the battles had stopped, news about the natural cycles and the harvest started to reappear in the chronicles. Those were undoubtedly the events of a great importance for a person of that time.

Heger, Matouš ; Balvín, Jiří (advisor) ; Fričová, Kateřina (referee)
The thesis "Music Television in the Czech Conditions. TV Ocko" deals with the context of the existence of thematic music television in the local environment by the means of a specific case study - the Czech television station TV Ocko - founded in 2002. At the same time, it also addresses the phenomenon of a global music television, MTV. The first part of the text deals with formats that preceded the emergence of music television in both global (before the establishment of MTV as the first music television) and local terms. The second part thoroughly describes the first decade of the existence of the American station MTV (period 1981-1992) applying primarily the economic and production perspectives. Third, the largest part is dedicated to the emergence and development of the Czech music television, TV Ocko (period 2002-2010). The whole phenomenon is viewed here in economic, production and programme terms. The fourth part presents two external views of the local thematic music television: the perspective of a local distributor and that of a producer of a music video.

Dance as a means of integration adults with intellectual disability
KRAUMANNOVÁ, Eva
The goal of the bachelor thesis called Dance as a means of integration adults with intellectual disability was to create, implement and evaluate a dance course focused on the development of social competences in adults with intellectual disability. The thesis deals with adults with intellectual disability and with a leisure activity focused on dancing. There is some space for the development of social competences in adults´ leisure time. In response to the current situation of leisure activities proposition for adults with intellectual disability. I found it beneficial to found a dance group of adults with intellectual disability, and at the same time a group of individuals intact in places unfamiliar to them. Based on an activity which may be implemented amusingly it is possible to develop an individual´s personality as well as his or her social competences, which become a presumption of a successful integration, universally. The bachelor thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter defines the term ´intellectual disability´. Further on the attention is paid to the characteristics of the target group, i.e. adults suffering from a slight and medium mental retardation. Further on, the disability´s impact onto the human psyche as well as social area is described. In the second chapter the term ´dance´is defined and then the description of its usefulness within the leisure, artistic and therapeutic areas is given. In the third chapter the presumptions for a successful integration are described. In the conclusion of the theoretical part there is an interconnection made between the target group and the activity for developing social competences. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is continued with a practical part, the fourth chapter. It is a programme of a six-month course which I have set together based on the analysis of expert literature and my experience gained during the leadership of dance lessons and working with adults with intellectual disability. The programme will include work methods and an evaluation of partial activities. The six-month course was held in the school year of 2015/2016 and 6 intellectually disabled adults took part in it. Students of the University of South Bohemia joined the course. Partial goals were set for individual dance lessons and the activities were set so that they would develop social competences in participants non-violently and in the greatest extent possible. The course was implemented in the IN Civic Association facilities. To evaluate the activity and find out the progress within the area of the participants´ social competences, several development fields have been set. Several chosen social competences were divided into evaluation scales. The participants were evaluated at the beginning of the course and then again, six months later. The evaluation method chosen was my own observation. I focused on the evaluation of my own working, on group evaluation and the evaluation of each individual. Evaluation was also done on the part of each course participant, too. Dance lessons and activities connected have proven to be a suitable means for developing social competences in intellectually disabled adults. In five participants the values have risen in 5 10 out of 17 competences observed. A recourse occured in a participant who was going through a difficult life situation during the last two months of the course. Values have risen dramatically and in all participants in the area of group cooperation. Five participants made a progress in establishing and keeping eye contact and in starting a conversation. One participant has made a progress in the area of group performance, another one has made a progress in the area of independence and another one started to call the other participants by their names, as opposed to the beginning of the course. In general, the members of the group became more self-confident.

The thesis "The influence of jazz in Czech piano concerts" disserts on the Czech jazz scene of the First republic and the time after 1945. It reminds us of the Czech music on the edge of genres as well as it debates about the Czech piano concerts of the respective time period. It picks especially those most affected by jazz (E. Schulhoff: Concert for piano and a small orchestra, J. Ježek: Piano concert, M. Svoboda: Concerto grosso for violin, piano and a string orchestra, M. Hybler: Concert for piano and orchestra, op. 21). An analysis of the above mentioned with sheet music examples shapes another part of the work. The final part of the thesis is represented by a study on jazz elements used by the author in her piano concert "Beyond heaven".

Kux, Martin ; Janál, Roman (advisor) ; Kaupová, Helena (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I am analyzing the music cycle of Robert Schumann "The Poetś Love" . Theresearch deals with the cycle from the music, lyric and comparative interpretation point of view. The thesis discovers private and work life of the composer. Schumann´s work focuses mainly on piano composition, which is also mentioned in the thesis, and song composition, themost fruitful period of which began in 1840. The thesis also encompasses the treatise abour Heinrich Heine, on who´s lyrics the cycle was composed. I also talk briefly about the cooperation between two artists. Schumann´s everlasting ispiration was his wife Clara Schumann. Besides the deep love to Clara, the clear expresson and related timeliness, which we can constantly discover, reflected in his artistic message. In the thesis we are mentioning original names in German for particular songs, translations in Czech, made by various authors. In interpretation comparison based on the recording we see mainly the benefit from the point of different views and dramatically grasp of the cycle, which is, to my mind, very important for the singers.
