The perspectives of tourism in the Canary Islands (with special focus on Gran Canaria)

The Bachelor´s thesis is aimed at discussing tourism and analyzing diffferent perspectives of developement in the Canary Islands, namely in the island of Gran Canaria. The goal of this thesis will first be to evaluace the current situation of tourism in Gran Canaria. It is necessary to find the various perpectives of developement for this area, while also assessing strategic proposal plans in order to increase the competitive ability. The theorical section of this thesis is focused on tourism determination, and destination of tourism. In addition, the origin and developement of tourism in the Canary Islands is discussed. The practical part of this thesis is focused on tourism in Gran Canaria; the life cycle is applied to the destination of Gran Canaria, and there is a complete description of the attractions and infrastructure of the destination. Additionally, a SWOT analysis will take place analyzing the strengths, weakeness, opportunities and threats of tourism in Gran Canaria. In the final chapter, suggestions and solutions for tourism in Gran Canaria will be made based on strategic plans from the Canary institutions of tourism.

Crematorium in Liberec and Work of Architect Rudolf Bitzan

The thesis is about The Liberec crematorium and the personality of architect Rudolf Bitzan - the creator of the project. The object of the work is to introduce creation of the project in connection with the time of creation. It also focuses cultural - historical background of the building of Liberec crematorium - the first crematorium in our country. The main part of the work concentrates not only on the architecture of the building but also on the artistic - historical aspect and the artistic decoration of the crematorium. Part of the thesis is a detailed description of the interior including comparison between the original an the current look of the building which went through several restorations. One of the chapters is dedicated to the German architect Rudolf Bitzan who is not very well known in our country. The chapter focuses on his work and it briefly summarizes his life and studies. It describes his significant architectonic projects and their implementations not only in Germany but above all in Czech borderland like 'Krušnohorské divadlo' in Teplice v Čechách, office building in Podmokly or villas in Liberec. Process Analysis As the Basis for the Implementation of a New Information System

The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the processes in the company POP service, Ltd., also to analyze the current problem in this company and to recommend and propose measures which eliminate the causes of the emergence of the problem. The causes originate from the aspects of the management of people and processes are identified through the analysis of processes associated with the problem and eliminated on the basis of proposals metrics and responsibilities for these processes. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to concepts in the field of process management. The theoretical part characterizes these concepts process management, business processes, process analysis and process modeling methods, process maps, graphical notation for writing business processes, business process improvement and analysis organization. In the second part of the thesis is presented the examined organizations POP service, Ltd.. Based on the analysis of the current state are defined vision, mission and goals of the organization. Then there is described a procedure of the analysis of the current state, which is process analysis and proposal of selected processes, metrics and responsibilities for these processes. Methods of analysis are SWOT analysis, analysis of the activities, structured interviews and process analysis. The result of this thesis is to analyze the selection of processes of the company POP service, Ltd., proposal metrics, define jobs and responsibilities and suggestions for improving the selected process.

Communication Strategy of Komerční banka, a.s. with a Focus on the Youngsters

Thesis explores communication strategy of Komerční banka, a.s. with a focus on the Youngsters. The aim of this thesis is an analysis of previous and current campaigns, corroborated by original research. The thesis comprises six chapters, the first two chapters dealing with theory, the rest dealing with empirical findings. The first chapter discusses the difference between marketing and commercial communication and kinds of commercial communication; the second chapter delves into the issue of communication strategy, its types and development. The third chapter consists of a presentation of Komerční banka, a.s. including an evaluation of the competition; the subsequent chapter discusses the characteristics of the G2 brand, its target group and includes an SWOT analysis. The content of the fifth chapter is a description of previous communication and of new communication campaign of the G2 brand. In the conclusion of the thesis, research results are assessed and future steps are recommended.

The Conclusion of a Contract under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods in Comparison with Czech National Legislation

This Master's thesis focuses on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), better known as the Vienna Convention. The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate conditions for application of this international treaty and to assess the contracting process under the CISG including the similarities and differences with the Czech national legislation. Finally, it seeks an answer to the question, which of these rules (international or national) are more advantageous for a Czech contractual party with respect to concluding a contract. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first one represents an introduction to the CISG, its origin and the Czech Republic's attitude to it. The second part identifies the conditions for application of the CISG and therefore defines a subject and an object of an international contract of sale under the CISG. Both third and fourth parts gradually introduce two phases of the contracting process (offer and acceptance) including the relevant case-law. The last chapter strives to complete the contracting process with an analysis of the exact moment, when a contract is concluded, as well as with an analysis of a potential battle of the forms and its impact on a contract conclusion.

INFLUENCE OF LASER CUTTING AND PUNCHING ON MAGNETIC PROPERTIES\nOF ELECTRICAL STEEL M470-50A

Electrical steel M470-50A belongs to the most often used materials in electrical machines. Due to this fact, it is desirable to know the magnetic parameters after processing raw sheets into the required shape. Basic parameters of mechanical, electrical, and magnetic properties of the sheets are usually obtained from the producer but the magnetic properties are changing in dependence on additional machining processes. The aim of this study is to describe changes in parameters of magnetic behavior after punching, laser and spark cutting of the original sheets. The basic information of structure was obtained by optical and scanning electron microscopy. The magnetic parameters were acquired from the measuring of magnetic hysteresis loops in dependence on saturation fields and frequencies. The results are discussed from the point of view of applied\ncutting technology with the aim to obtain the best magnetic parameters and consequently a higher efficiency of the final product. Results can be used as input parameters in simulation of the electrical machine.

Changes in structure and phase composition in the surface of tram rail

We have investigated structure and phase composition of surface layer of tram rails after long time running and the results were compared with those obtained on the original part of material. Changes due to effects of severe plastic deformation together with thermal shocks by friction process were expected. The information about structure and phase composition was obtained by optical and scanning electron microscopy, X-Ray Powder Diffraction, Mössbauer Spectroscopy and Glow Discharge Emission Spectroscopy (GDOES) and this was completed by microhardness measurements. The results show that the surface layer in comparison with the original material exhibits important changes in grain structure, an increase in microhardness and high content of iron oxide and hydrooxides. According to the depth profile of the chemical composition measured by GDOES there is an increase in carbon content in the surface layer which can be effect of up-hill diffusion.

Schizophrenia: Impact on quality of life

Veronika Konopásková Schizophrenia: Impact on quality of life Annotation The goal of the thesis is to understand the impact of schizophrenia on quality of life of the patient. Schizophrenia is defined and its most common forms and symptoms are presented. I describe the origin, course and prognosis of the disease. I focus on the concept of relapse and suicide risk in patients with schizophrenia. Treatise on the treatment is divided into psychosocial and biological methods. I deal with the concept of Quality of life in general and in connection with schizophrenia. I discuss the problem of stigmatization of the mentally ill patients. The example of three selected organizations (Baobab, ESET-HELP, DPS "Ondřejov") illustrates the wide range of psychosocial rehabilitation programs offered for mentally ill. To capture authentically all aspects of life with schizophrenia, I conducted three in-depth interviews with persons diagnosed with schizophrenia. Position of Czech Documentary Photography During the Normalization Era

The subject of my thesis is the position of Czech documentary photography during the normalization era in Czech territory. The term "position" encompasses several aspects of review: political and creative conditions under which the Czech documentary photography was originating; its status within the photography as artistic discipline and within other artistic disciplines; thinking about documentary photography and its changes over time; social application of documentary photography and its impact on society and, last but not least, its impact on political events. In the 70s and 80s the Czech documentary photography reached the greatest expansion, despite the uneasy political background. My thesis examines (among other things) how, why and under what circumstances this boom occurred.
