Hodnotenie finančnej výkonnosti podnikatel'ských subjektov v Českej a Slovenskej republike v rokoch 2003 - 2012
Kačmárová, Nataša
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the financial performance of SMEs in the Czech and Slovak Republic in the years 2003-2012. Slovak economy is from all EU Member States historically and structurally most similar to the Czech one. The year 2004 was crucial for both countries and also characteristic because of accession to the European Union. Both countries before 2009 had been using their own currency, but Slovakia separated from this direction and joined the euro area. This period is associated with unpleasant events in the world and therefore the economic crisis. The Czech Republic has committed to join the European Union to become a part of the Eurozone. The regression analysis used in empirical part of thesis provides the results of impact of the crisis on SMEs, especially for two observed countries to be able to compare development in the Czech Republic with the development of Slovakia, who entered this period with a common European currency.

Diagnostic Lithium Beam System for COMPASS Tokamak
Háček, P. ; Weinzettl, Vladimír ; Stöckel, Jan ; Anda, G. ; Veres, G. ; Zoletnik, S. ; Berta, M.
The COMPASS tokamak has been re-installed in IPP Prague after its transport from Culham in UK. A Diagnostic Lithium Beam system is being developed for COMPASS tokamak. Its main goal is to provide edge density (Beam Emission Spectroscopy) and edge plasma current (Atomic Beam Probe) measurements to address the scientific programme focused on H-mode and pedestal physics. It features several newly designed and developed parts, including improved emitter and neutralizer. Atomic Beam Probe is an innovatory diagnostic for measurement of poloidal magnetic field and plasma current fluctuations in the plasma edge. Currently, the system is connected to tokamak (August 2011) and first experiments with plasma were performed. The system still undergoes vacuum, neutralization and high voltage testing. This article reviews the concept and current state of the Lithium Beam diagnostic for COMPASS and provides its first test results.

Stružka, P. ; Waszniowski, L. ; Bartosinski, Roman ; Bysterský, T.
This paper describes design of a controller of the brushless DC motor using Processor Expert blockset in Mathworks Simulink. The controller algorithm is designed in Simulink and the Processor Expert blockset provides access to the microcontroller hardware through its Hardware Abstraction Layer. The behavior of the controller (including the peripherals represented by Processor Expert blocks) is verified by simulation. The Real-Time Workshop is used for the C source code generation from the controller model.

Characterization of industrial materials by slow and very slow electrons
Mikmeková, Šárka ; Müllerová, Ilona ; Frank, Luděk
Progress in materials science and engineering is inseparably connected with excellent knowledge of the correlation between materials properties and their microstructure. In our experiment an ultra-high vacuum scaning low energy electron microscope (UHV SLEEM) of an in-house design was used to observe microstructure of specimens. The UHV SLEEM is equipped with the cathode lens (CL) assembly, which enables us to observe samples at arbitrary landing energies of primary electrons. The device provides argon ion beam for in-situ cleaning of the specimen surface.

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis in nursing
HOŠINSKÁ, Petra
The Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a very important preventive method which enables to determine possible failures and suggest preventive measures to avoid possible failures before they may happen. The prevention of those failures is very important but it is necessary for the Czech medical care providers to change their attitudes and thinking. It is the medical staff who must do their best to provide quality and safe care, otherwise the provided care quality and safety will never be enhanced. The management support is crucial in this respect. When the support is missing, the improved failure prevention on a long-term basis cannot be achieved. The objectives were to examine nurses´ awareness of FMEA and whether nurses use this preventive method in practice. The interviewed nurses and chief nursing officers were asked two research questions: 1) Are nurses informed enough on the FMEA method? 2) Do nurses (use the method in practice? The results obtained are as follows: Out of eight nurses interviewed only one nurse, who had taken part in a seminar focused on this issue, was familiar with the FMEA. The FMEA is not used in nursing process in hospitals in which the research was conducted. The objectives were achieved. Two hypotheses were set: H I: Nurses are not informed on the FMEA method, H II: Nurses do not use the FMEA method. The purpose of this research is to enhance the nursing staff´ awareness of the possible failure prevention. The results of the research will be offered to managements of the hospitals involved in the research with the aim to incite the preventive measures implementation into nursing process. This will lead to the possible failure risk reduction. Both hospitals involved in the research are interested in the survey conclusions.

Charakter proudění v náplňovém superkritickém extraktoru
Rochová, Kristina ; Sovová, Helena
This contribution provides a brief review on the effect of flow direction on SFE and reports our first experiments on axial dispersion measured in the course of extraction; this topic has not been sufficiently discussed in the literature yet. The flow pattern was examined by means of response to tracer injection and the results were expressed in the form of dimensionless variance S2 T,0. Tetracosane deposited on glass beads was extracted and presence of natural convection was observed when the flow was switched from downflow to upflow mode.

Analytic psychological and selfreflexive novel of 30th and 40th in 20th century Czech literature
VESELÁ, Markéta
My thesis aims to outline the reception of psychological-analytical and self-reflective prose of the 1930s and 1940s. The initial theoretical part deals with the work of F. Vodička and H.R. Jauss. Their approach to the history of literature, based on reception, provides the basis for the second part of my thesis: the practical part. The practical part is divided into four chapters, each dealing with a different historical context influencing the perception of literature. The chapters are: 1930s and 1940s, 1948-1968, 1968-1989 and 1989 ? present. The first chapter defines a group of literary works. We shall observe reactions to these works as they change over time due to changes in the ideological and esthetical climate. We shall consider not only critiques and recensions, but handbooks of literary history as well. The reactions to the selected works create an image of the perception in the given period, which is summarized at the end of each chapter. The conclusion of my thesis contains an overview of the reception of the individual literary works from their date of publishing up to the present day. We can observe changes in perception and zero reflection of some works and authors as well as the uncritical glorification of others. The conclusion shows how strongly the historical context affects the perception of literature.

Economic Rights to Results of Scientific Research and Making the Results Available to the Public
Šavelka, Jaromír
The contribution provides a general overview of economic rights that arise in connection to the results of scientific research with particular emphasis given to the possibilities of making the results accessible to the public. The introductory part consists of a brief survey of the economic rights that are applicable to the results of scientific research and deliberates who are the persons entitled to those rights given the different situations. Consequently, barriers that may prevent one from making the results available to the public are elaborated on. The main part deals with recommendations on the subject of avoiding these barriers in order to be able to make the results available to the public in absence of third parties' rights violation.

Impregnace keramických membrán anatasem
Vacík, M. ; Hofman, R. ; Mastný, L. ; Šrank, Z. ; Brožek, Vlastimil
Catalytic properties of anatase have been known for a certain time but its practical usage has been hindered by technological limits of preparation of either compact massive intermediate products of various shapes which are necessary as a component of catalytic reactors or nanosized anatase powder. Our aim was to prepare ceramic membrane which would contain catalytic form of titanium oxide - i.e. anatase in its entire volume or on its surface only. Ceramic membranes of any shape (mostly tabular or piped) may be prepared by hot spattering technology. If plasma torch is used we call this process plasma spraying. The advantage of plasma spraying is in chance to provide semi-finished membranes with high dimension accuracy with defined radius of voids and/or as functionally graded materials, i.e. with changing concentration of some ceramic, metallic or combined components. The pores developed in membranes can be readily filled up with substances that allow modification of its properties. In this area, the possibility to impregnate membrane ceramic intermediates with other functional components, e.g. photocatalytic forms of titanium oxide, arises as well.
