The diploma thesis deals with the area of learning and development of a selected group of employees in a specific organization. The aim of the thesis is to describe, analyse, and evaluate the current state of learning and development of a selected group of employees in a specific organization and to propose possible recommendations for improvement. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part of the thesis, relevant concepts from the field of andragogy, educational management and human resources management are defined in relation to the researched issue. The empirical part consists of methodology and research in the field of employee learning and development. The research is divided into partial phases that describe, analyse, and evaluate the current state of learning and development of a selected group of employees. The empirical part also includes a description of the specific organization and the definition of the selected group of employees, which consists of all employees in the position of IT Consultant IS.
