The Role of Nurse in the Prevention of Disease of Civilisation
PAVLOVÁ, Martina
The current state Prevention is a complex care of a patient when we are trying to prevent from the occurrence or development of a disease, or when we want to prevent from its consequences and mitigate them. Recommendations for prevention set by a doctor must be on a scientific basis, and they must be a part of all branches of medicine. Their effectiveness depends on the cooperation between patients and medical staff. The basic and most efficient method of prevention is the health promotion and health education, which is closely associated with it. The term health promotion involves a set of activities and precautions for the purpose of making health better and sustaining it. Diseases of civilisation (hereinafter "DoC") are groups of diseases which are distinguished by their association to our lifestyles. Human body is more and more threatened from unfavourable influences of external environment, such as the quality of atmosphere, work environment and environment itself, the lack of physical movement, unhealthy diet, smoking, and alcohol consumption. The list of diseases of civilisation varies and changes together with our society and the development of our lifestyles. Among the most common or frequent diseases of current time are cardiovascular diseases, which involve atherosclerosis, hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary artery disease and obesity. Furthermore, between civilization diseases include diabetes mellitus type 2 or cancer, etc. The goal of the thesis There are two goals set for this paper. The first goal was to find out what the role of a nurse in the prevention of diseases of civilisation was. The second goal was to find out what the above mentioned role of a nurse was from the point of view of patients. Methodology For the purpose of the research part of this thesis, qualitative research using semistructured interviews was carried out. Respondents were divided into two groups; the first one consisted of eight nurses working at internal medicine and neurological department of the hospital in České Budějovice and a nurse working in a private office of a general practitioner for adult patients. The second group consisted of eight patients of the above mentioned health facilities. Results According to our findings, nurses and patients have different oppinions on the role of a nurse. Nurses in disease prevention see themselves as an equivalent to a doctor when undertaking this practice and giving guidance. The patient speaks only to the nurse who emphasized what they were told by the doctor and reiterated the main points. They make available to them leaflets and brochures or Internet resources. In contrast, most patients see a nurse as a more important source of information than the doctor. Patients have the feeling that the doctor does not have enough time or does not want to be botherd with questions. Rather the patient turns to his nurse, which they sees as more appropriate and someone to whom they can confide in without bothering. Summary The goal of the thesis was to focus on prevention, DoC, and the role of a nurse in the prevention of such diseases, as well as to study this issue, look at it from the point of view of patients and nurses via the interviews carried out in this paper, and to analyse such information. Based on this analysis are published recommendations for nurses and patients.

The role of nurses and their impact on the care of patients with total hip arthroplasty.
SLABÁKOVÁ, Květoslava
Total hip replacement is one of the most extensively and highly effective operating methods in orthopaedics. The patients are brought back the self-sufficiency, life without the pain and noticeably motion restriction. Irreplaceable function here is a role of the nurse, who helps the patient to return back to his common life...The aim of this work was to find out, how the patients feel the role of the nurse and its influence to given nursing care before and after the total hip replacement as the less fulfilled. There were following research questions set: How the patients feel the role of the nurse before and after the total hip replacement? How the patients before and after the total hip replacement feel the interpretation of the nurse roles? How the patients before and after the total hip replacement feel the role of the nurse and its influence to given nursing care. Which of the nurse roles are felt by the patient as the unsatisfactory in postoperative care? The patients before and after the total hip replacement feel through the everyday nurse activities the nurse in her role of the caregiver and education giving person, following the nurse vindicator and the nurse bearer of changes. The patients feel the care thanks these roles as a quality, holistic and continual. Nevertheless was the role of the education giving named as the least fulfilled. In connection with these research results was created a manual, a Guide book for the patients before and after the total hip replacement. This Guide book was given to testing purposes. This Guide book was appreciated by the patients very positive despite a large amount of information, which were surprising for many of them. We gained some data, which gave the impulse to complete the information in the Guide. The created Guide book can´t replace the effective communication of the patient with the medical staff, which could be always the most suitable "source" of information.

Maastricht Criteria and Their Role in Common Monetary Policy of the European Union
Fleischmannová, Hana ; Boháčková, Ivana (advisor) ; Radek, Radek (referee)
This thesis deals with the monetary union development issues and their role in the process of European Union integration. Following the Maastricht convergence criteria (price stability, foreign exchange rate stability, stability of long-term interest rates, and condition of public finance) is essential for the accession to the European Monetary Union (EMU). The sense of Maastricht criteria is to evaluate the level of economic convergence. The content of the thesis focuses both on the evaluation of the candidates ability to fulfill the Maastricht criteria and to integrate into the monetary regime of EMU, and fulfilment of the criteria by current members of EU. Next part of the thesis follows up the origin and development of a theory of optimum currency area (OCA), which assesses the suitability of using common currency within EMU by means of its criteria. In conclusion of the thesis benefits and expenses of the common currency are compared, and the future development of EMU is mentioned.

Analysis of water requirements of the field crops in areas with frequent occurrence of drought.
Zábranský, Petr ; Soukup, Josef (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
Summary Water resources are an important part of ecosystems. In the water balance of the landscape, the variability of climate, soil factors, as well as high diversity of vegetation play an important role. Evapotranspiration represents a major passive component in the water balance of the basin. Unlike forests, where the water balance is particularly predictable due to the long-term development of the stands, regular crop rotation in agricultural systems and agricultural practices may cause rapid changes in water balance during much shorter time. It may sometimes result in irreversible changes in ecosystems with impact on landscape biodiversity. An understanding of the limiting environmental factors and exact determination of the water demands of plants makepossible not only an improvement of yield parameters, but it is also condition for understanding of the agroecosystems sustainability in the cultural landscape. Field measurements of actual evapotranspiration were carried out in the period 2007 to 2015 in Velvary (Budihostice) in the Central Bohemia region, 210 m above sea level in the rain shadow area around Slaný territory. In terms of the average annual water balance (CHMI, 2014), the locality is regarded as the area with the difference between the average annual precipitation and annual potential evapotranspiration totals in amount of -200 mm, so the potential evapotranspiration slightly exceeds precipitation. Field measurements were conducted on commonly managed areas with a minimum size of the experimental plots of 1 ha. The measurements confirmed differences between the crop water demands during the growing season. Different values of the actual evapotranspiration as well as the Bowen ratio values were estimated for the observed crops depending on the growth stage of crops. The lowest values of actual evapotranspiration were detected for Zea mays and Sorghum bicolor. Higher water demands were shown by Triticum aestivum and Hordeum vulgare. On the contrary, the highest values of actual evapotranspiration were found in stands of Beta vulgaris and Medicago sativa. According to the values obtained for crop coefficients (Kc), the crops of Z. mays, S. bicolor and T. aestivum had about a quarter lower values of Kc compared with M. sativa and B. vulgaris crops in the main growing season. In this work, the daily values of Kc, which are the basic characteristics of moisture requirements for individual crop were determined and can be used modelling of hydrological processes in agro-phytocoenoses. The evaluation of moisture requirement of crops by the water flow in plants (determined by the sap flow method) showed the expected differences between S. bicolor and Z. mays plants. Water use efficiency (WUE) was significantly higher in plants of C4 type (Z. mays and S. bicolor) compared with the rest of observed plants of C3 type (T. aestivum and H. vulgare).

Managerial skills
Brůžková, Anna ; Kříž, Josef (advisor) ; Milan, Milan (referee)
The main focus of the thesis entitled Managerial skills are various areas of managerial skills which are essential for management of certain working positions and therefore necessary for efficient functioning of the whole organization. It addresses issues of the current level of managerial skills and their possible reinforcement in future. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part consists of theoretical sources dealing with topics such as manager´s personality profile, his or her personality features, knowledge and competences, and last but not least managerial roles and functions. The attention is mainly paid to soft managerial skills. The second, analytical part, characterizes a chosen company and then performs analysis of the current level of employees´ managerial skills at one working position. This analysis is based on data acquired from a questionnaire research and a pen and paper interview with an employee of the organization. On the basis of foregone steps some proposals are set for strengthening the researched managerial skills in the organization. Implementation of these enhancements assumes simultaneous increase in the standards of several employees´ soft skills, which can positively influence the quality and increase of their performance and as a result improve the functioning of the whole organization.

The Identity and Status of Women in Islam on the example of Muslim Women in the Czech Republic
Svojšová, Kateřina ; Macků, Lucie (advisor) ; Fajfrlíková, Pavla (referee)
Goal of the thesis "The identity and status of women in islam on the exaple of muslim women in the Czech Republic" is to describe how muslim women who live in the Czech Republic perceives their identity and status and how they look on women who live in some muslim surroundings. The theoretical part is describing islam like the second most widespread religion in the world, the use of faith in everyday life and then this part is describing the situation of women in connection with their socio-legal status. In analytical part of the thesis is used qualitative research methods in the form of half-structuralized interviews. This interviews were recorded with ten muslim women who was born in Czech Republic or they live here for a long time. Questions were divided into four groups, which largely concerned the status of women and men in family, the status of women on Qur´an and islam and also by life itself of muslim women in the Czech Republic. Also, this part aims to describe how converting women perceive the role of women in the muslim surroundings.

Androgenesis and its using for interspecific hybridisation of potato
Suková, Eva ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor) ; Matiska, Pavel (referee)
The production of homozygous lines has been an important part of breeding programs. The most effective and widely used method suitable for the production of homozygous plants is induced androgenesis via anther, pollen and isolated microspore cultures. The principle of androgenic induction consists in reprogramming microspores from gametophytic to sporophytic development. Physical or chemical factors can be used on the whole inflorescence, flower-buds or isolated anthers for reprograming. The genotype of donor plant and poolen developmental stage plays a fundamental role in determination of androgenesis in vitro. Pre-treatments such as chilling, high temperature, high humidity, centrifugation, water stress, oxidative stress, osmotic pressure change in the level of endogenous growth substances, transfer anthers from anaerobic to aerobic environment, starvation, colchicine application and, heavy metals treatment are other important factors that affect the response of anthers to in vitro culture. The aim of this work was to design and confirm the methodology used for induced androgenesis of potatoes. The achieved results of our experiment showing only trends and hypotheses. The size of the most suitable flower-buds for anther culture is 2-3 mm. It is highly likely that the sucrose concentration in MS medium had no impact on the callus induction. The genotype of tested hybrids probably plays a major role in the induced androgenesis process. The influence of the media on the formation of callus was statistically proven. Calluses were transferred to regeneration medium, but organogenesis has not yet come through. The results show that the proposed methodology is appropriate to derive calluses at least.
