In my diploma work i tried to valued transplant in a christiant (religious) point of view. My essay (diploma work) is consisit of (devided to) two parts - medical part, in which I have written about individual steps made before the exact transplant and I also explained what are the benefits and negatives of transplant. In the first part I also included law issues of transplant in Czech legislation, about the difficulty to donate the organ, perhaps the risk of the individual donors. I described the criteria of death from medical and ethical point of view. In a second part(teological) I have written about the value of the transplant from the ethical point of view, the religious side (reflexion) it means till when the human being is still considered as a person whose dignity has to be (needs to be) respected and whether the human autonomia is the ethical password. From the religious point of view (side) does not exist objection against volunteery transplant donors. Donor transplant is morally accepted with agreement of the donors themself and without excessive (enourmous) risks included. The purpose of th death of the individual is diagnosed (found out) first before the transplant can be donated. The possibility of the donation (transplant) abuse is the organs selling market. In the christian way the life is...

The goal of this paper is to point out the influence of globalization within nowadays information and from the economic point of view. Hydrometeorological droughts in the Czech territory since 1851
Kakos, Vilibald ; Müller, Miloslav
Variously long periods of precipitation deficit were studied. In the 20th century, the most intensive drought period was first half of 30s. Nevertheless, the drought in first half of 60s of the 19th century was even stronger from the viewpoint of precipitation as well as outflow characteristics. Hydrological droughts arise generally later than precipitation deficits as was shown by comparison of both types of droughts.

Diversity of the genus Blastocystis (Stramenopiles)
Lorencová, Markéta ; Čepička, Ivan (advisor) ; Kostka, Martin (referee)
Although the genus Blastocystis is only little known, it has recently attracted much attention of protistologists and parasitologists. Similarly to the related opalines and proteromonads, Blastocystis is anaerobic and lives endobiotically in intestines of many animals. On the other hand, members of the genus have completely lost flagella. Therefore, the phylogenetic position of Blastocystis had been puzzling for a long time. B. hominis is one of the most common intestinal parasites of humans and has been found also in a wide variety of animals. It is highly prevalent not only in the developing nations, but also in the developed countries. Its enormous genetic diversity, pathogenic and zoonotic potential (B. hominis is often associated with irritable bowel syndrome) make from B. hominis an important emerging pathogen.

The trans-fatty acids in subcutaneous fat and in fat content of breast milk as an indicator of their nutritional intake
Dlouhý, Pavel ; Anděl, Michal (advisor) ; Dostálová, Jana (referee) ; Hrubý, Stanislav (referee) ; Zadák, Zdeněk (referee)
Trans fatty acids (TFA) are unsaturated fatty acids, which have one or more double bonds in the trans configuration. Their main dietary sources are partially hardened fats and food products containing partially hardened fats (margarines, shortenings, bakery products, and fast foods). TFA are thought to increase the risk of coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes. These fatty acids have adverse effects on blood lipid levels, increasing LDL-cholesterol while decreasing HDL-cholesterol. Consumption of TFA can also impair insulin sensitivity. High intake of TFA is associated with systemic inflammation, activation of immune functions and endothelial dysfunction. Hypotheses also exist that TFA may have adverse effect on the metabolism of essential fatty acids and foetus development. The concentration of TFAs in subcutaneous fat is a very good indicator of dietary exposure of TFA. This concentration reflects long-term dietary intake of these fatty acids. Levels of TFA in human milk are more variable; however, it is quite simple to obtain a sample of human milk. The purpose of our studies was to determine (a) content of TFA in subcutaneous fat samples from persons with coronary atherosclerosis and from persons with no sign of coronary dinase and (b) the content of TFA in early human milk of breast-feeding women...

High temperature service embrittlement of EUROFER´97 steel
Stratil, Luděk ; Jan, Vít (referee) ; Hadraba, Hynek (advisor)
The thesis describes effect of long-time ageing on the microstructure and properties of the Eurofer´97 steel. The ferritic-martensitic reduced activation steel Eurofer´97 is candidate structural material for in-core components of proposed fusion reactors. Thesis is focused on examination and description of brittle-fracture behaviour of the steel. Properties of the steel were investigated in as-received state and state after long-time ageing. Detailed microstructure studies were carried out by means of optical and electron microscopy and also by means of quantitative electron microscopy. Mechanical properties were evaluated also in both states by means of hardness tetsing, tensile testing and Charpy impact testing. Fractography analysis of fracture surfaces was carried out on samples after Charpy impact testing.
