Value and Position of Social Workers from Public View

The theoretical part defines the concept of a social worker. This diploma thesis tries to highlight the fifferences between social workers, workers in social services and health and social workers. Another chapter is devoted to social work itself. Many celebrities have influenced social work, and this thesis gives them place. We live in a postmodern era, which affects us at every step. Social work is influenced by postmodernism as we are. Social worker, is aon important element in the whole social work. Social worker takes on different roles. The roles of social workers are devided in this diploma thesis on role according to the minimum standard of education, the role according to the value systém, the role under the Code of Ethics, the Role Competency Based. Perception of social workers pervades the whole diploma thesis. Social perception is related to how we perceive ourselves. Values and value systems shape the individual's attitude to all areas of human life. Attitudes are formed throughout life and are more or less constant. Supervision, which is described in one of the chapters is an important part of the social worker profession. The concept of lifelong education occupies in the lives of social workers a significant place. Law No. 108/2006 Collections on social services, as amended, requires social workers obliged to further education. The aim of this diploma thesis was to identify the position of social workers in society and finf out how prestigious is the profession of social workers. A secondary aim was to determine what features a social worker should have. The practical part was processed using quantitative research strategy. A method of questioning, questionnaire technique ware used. Collection of questionnaires conducted on the territory of Jindřichohradecko from 15 January to 16 March of 2015. The general public were chosen by quota sampling. People residing in the territory of Jindřichohradecko represent it. Professional public was chosen randomly purposeful choice. Professional public was represented by social workers working in the territory of Jindřichohradecko. 5 hypotheses have been established with regard to the objectives of the work. These are specified in detail in the research part of the diploma thesis. Hypotheses were statistically tested and evaluated as follows: Hypothesis 1: There is no difference in perception of the status of social workers in society between those who have experience with the profession of social worker and those who do not have this experience. Hypothesis 1 was confirmed. Hypothesis 2: There is no difference in perception of presentation profession of social workers by the media between professionals and public. Hypothesis 2 was confirmed. Hypothesis 3: There is no relationship between age and evaluation activities of social worker in professional public. Hypothesis 3 was rejected. Hypothesis 4: The level of educational attainment does not affect how the prestige of social worker is perceived from professional public. Hypothesis 4 was confirmed. Hypothesis 5: There is no correlation between high educational attainment and perceptions of the need for higher education of social workers. Hypothesis 5 was rejected. Social worker are present rather negatively. Negative slideshow presentation helps presentation of social work through the media. Prestige social workers are affected by the prestige of social work. The research results showed that the profession of social worker is neither prestigious nor low prestigious profession or rather low prestigious profession. Professional and general public said the three qualities that should have a social worker: empathy, patience and willingness. Benefits of this diploma thesis can be seen in the presentation of public attitudes towards the profession of social workers. This diploma thesis has helped to clarify the weaknesses in this field and noted the timeliness of the issue of prestige social workers.

Comparison of Slovak and Croatian model electronic records of sales and their effects on selected economic indicators in 2013-2015

The aim of the thesis is to analyze and compare the implementation process and economic impact of electronic records of sales in the Slovakia and Croatia. The first three chapters define the basic concepts related to the topics of the thesis such as the taxation system, the shadow economy and the harmonization of tax systems across the European Union. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of the taxation system in the Slovakia and Croatia specifically for value added tax. The practical part deals with the analysis of the electronic records of sales in these countries. The benefits and impacts of the electronic records of sales compare to selected economic indicators and infer recommendations for the Czech Republic. The last part of the thesis outline for the readers the issue of state lottery associated with the receipt.

Who is buying luxury Czech fashion?

This bachelor thesis is looking for the determinants of buying luxury fashion by Czech designers. The main conclusions of worldwide studies are examined based on data provided by the designers. Customer information were provided by companies Veršatyl and One Life. Qualitative data from the Veršatyl brand are examined using descriptive statistics. Data resulting from the purchase statistics from the One Life brand are converted into numerical values and investigated using regression analysis. The most important determinants when buying luxury Czech fashion include the quality of the product and its manufacturing.

Analysis of the bitter spirits category and the perception of the brand Becherovka Original in the czech market

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the bitter alcohol drinks market and to evaluate the brand image of the Becherovka Original on the Czech market and to suggest appropriate recommendations for improvements in perception of the brand amongst the younger generation of customers. The theoretical basis is defined to understand the terms as customer behavior, consumers buying process, brand elements, brand equity, brand value and brand image. In order to achieve the main objective the primary research was carried out. The research was provided by online customer survey. Based on the collected data the whole Czech alcohol market was analysed, with emphasis on the spirits market, especially on the bitter spirits category. Also, the brands marketing strategy was analysed. At last, the perception of the brand Becherovka Original on the Czech market was analysed. The data for the analysis were obtained by the theoretical basis and by the research. The conclusion contains suggested recommendations for the future prosperity of the brand.

Application of the Balanced Scorecard in the company ELLA-CS

Balanced Scorecard belongs to the most prominent managerial tools for performance measurement and strategy management. Aim of this thesis is to describe BSC with emphasis to small and medium enterprises using literature review. Additional supporting tools for strategy formulation are included as well. BSC is then proposed for implementation in privately owned small enterprise in the sector of medical devices. Based on the thorough analysis of the company and its environmental factors operational and strategical performance gaps are identified. Such gaps are then addressed by means of BSC including financial, customer, internal processes and learning and growth perspective. Despite some limitations inherent to SMEs in general introduction of BSC is feasible and could be of value to all company stakeholders.

The Value of CSR for Czech Consumers

Nowadays consumers purchasing behavior is influenced by new factors such as the social and environmental implication of companies. This is why Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a growing trend which companies need to look after carefully. However implementing an efficient CSR strategy is a complex process for corporations; especially since the core concept of CSR remain quite blurry. The goal of this study is to analyze the perception of consumers towards CSR to find out about the value creation that CSR produce for consumers and its impact on their purchasing behavior. This paper will ultimately help companies to implement their CSR strategy more efficiently. This study aims to contribute by conducting an in-depth analysis of consumers attitudes and behavior towards CSR. If most of researchers are using a quantitative approach this study means to deal with the issue with a qualitative perspective. Indeed twelve semi-structured interviews will support the findings. On top of those practical and physical interviews some theoretical knowledge will be added to the construction of the argument especially to bring a framework that shows the importance of all types of value creation (functional emotional and social). The findings of the thesis emphasize the facts already proven by other researchers; value creation is fundamental to make consumers care about CSR. However the study will show how much skepticism towards CSR can impact negatively consumers purchasing behavior. The research will help companies implementing more successful CSR strategy and develop new solutions to reach customers and influence their purchasing behavior through the creation of value for them.

Valuation of company Lesní společnost Broumov Holding, a. s.

The aim of this master thesis is to estimate the value of the company Lesní společnost Broumov Holding, a. s. as of the valuation date 01/01/2016. The thesis consists of two main parts, theoretically-methodological and related practical part. For accomplishing the objective, the strategical and financial analysis were made, also the main generators of the value were identified and scheduled and the financial plan was composed. The valuation itself was realized by three different methods that were afterwards calculated together which resulted into final estimation of the company's value, that reaches 147 024 thousand Czech crowns. The thesis is usable as a full overview of the company's situation and may be also helpful to the owners as a base for price negotiations, in case of potential investor's interest in buying it.

Analysis of the defects identified in the fire inspections performed within the State Fire Inspection of the Fire Rescue Department of South Bohemia for the years 2003 - 2012

The thesis on the topic Analysis of Faults Found in Fire Inspections Performed within Execution of State Fire Inspection by the Fire Brigade Rescue Corps of Southern Bohemia in 2003 2012 focuses on comparison of faults selected by gradual elimination from all the 700 fire inspections to final 150 complex fire inspections and classified per years in a ten-year comparison period. Follow-up inspections and thematic fire inspection were not used for the complex evaluation as they did not contain the necessary information. Six parameters were chosen from all the performed complex inspections containing 30 monitored facts of correctness and existence of documents of the inspected object and seven monitored facts from physical examination of the objects. These six parameters were subsequently compared. The aim of my thesis was to find out whether the numbers of the faults detected within execution of the state fire inspection were increasing in the individual categories. The theoretical part summarizes the basic legal norms applicable to the Fire Brigade Rescue Corps of the CR and to execution of the state fire inspection and some extensive legal norms related to the inspection activities or inspected subjects. Elaboration of the thesis topic required explanation of some terms like legal entity, private entrepreneur, fire inspection, state fire inspection and its integration in the Fire Brigade Rescue Corps of the CR. The chapter contains description of activities including graphs illustrating procedures related to execution of state fire inspection. A separate part is dedicated to fire protection history, formation of awareness of the history and to chronological arrangement of some key legal norms binding for the Fire Brigade Rescue Corps of the CR and execution of state fire inspection. It was for example necessary to present the rules governing execution of state fire inspection like professional competence of Fire Brigade Rescue Corps members and their identification at the place of inspection, to clarify the terms fire inspection plan and fire inspection programme. The final part of the theoretical base of the thesis contains the rules of behaviour of Fire Brigade Rescue Corps members performing state fire inspection at the inspected site and principles of interaction with people representing the inspected subject. The research methodology was chosen adequately to the topic dealt with. First archive materials from complex fire inspection records were studied and then the individual faults were qualitatively processed and categorized to faults in documentary part and physical defects. After that a selection of closer spectre of examined faults was performed and preparation of data for comparison. The faults of the individual years were compared in the monitored data and the danger index of the individual years was calculated. The concluding part of the thesis focused on presentation of the dependences of the detected faults of the individual years by means of tables and graphs. The results were mutually compared, classified, commented in detail in the discussion and elaborated into the overall image of the society. Dependence of the number of performed complex fire inspections on the number of detected faults was proven from the danger index and from graphic representation of its values.

Clustering and regression analysis of micro panel data

The main purpose of panel studies is to analyze changes in values of studied variables over time. In micro panel research, a large number of elements are periodically observed within the relatively short time period of just a few years. Moreover, the number of repeated measurements is small. This dissertation deals with contemporary approaches to the regression and the clustering analysis of micro panel data. One of the approaches to the micro panel analysis is to use multivariate statistical models originally designed for crosssectional data and modify them in order to take into account the within-subject correlation. The thesis summarizes available tools for the regression analysis of micro panel data. The known and currently used linear mixed effects models for a normally distributed dependent variable are recapitulated. Besides that, new approaches for analysis of a response variable with other than normal distribution are presented. These approaches include the generalized marginal linear model, the generalized linear mixed effects model and the Bayesian modelling approach. In addition to describing the aforementioned models, the paper also includes a brief overview of their implementation in the R software. The difficulty with the regression models adjusted for micro panel data is the ambiguity of their parameters estimation. This thesis proposes a way to improve the estimations through the cluster analysis. For this reason, the thesis also contains a description of methods of the cluster analysis of micro panel data. Because supply of the methods is limited, the main goal of this paper is to devise its own two-step approach for clustering micro panel data. In the first step, the panel data are transformed into a static form using a set of proposed characteristics of dynamics. These characteristics represent different features of time course of the observed variables. In the second step, the elements are clustered by conventional spatial clustering techniques (agglomerative clustering and the C-means partitioning). The clustering is based on a dissimilarity matrix of the values of clustering variables calculated in the first step. Another goal of this paper is to find out whether the suggested procedure leads to an improvement in quality of the regression models for this type of data. By means of a simulation study, the procedure drafted herein is compared to the procedure applied in the kml package of the R software, as well as to the clustering characteristics proposed by Urso (2004). The simulation study demonstrated better results of the proposed combination of clustering variables as compared to the other combinations currently used. A corresponding script written in the R-language represents another benefit of this paper. It is available on the attached CD and it can be used for analyses of readers own micro panel data.

Data Mining for Effective Customer Communication

The aim of this paper is to describe and illustrate benefits of using Data Mining for effective customer communication. The objective is to perform a Data Mining analysis in order to achieve results with potentially beneficial influence on the company s relationship with its customers, while using the KNIME Analytics Platform tool. The paper introduces the theoretical aspect of Customer Relationship Management, Data Mining and the opportunities of using Data Mining to improve CRM; followed by a market analysis of available Data Mining tools and the introduction of the KNIME Analysis Platform. Furthermore, the knowledge thus reached is used for the performance of real data analysis with the aim of reaching customer knowledge that would be appropriate to use within CRM strategy and finally to positively influence the value of customer relationships.
