The Aims in Life of Secondary School Students

The bachelor thesis "The Aims in Life of Secondary School Students" has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part describes important life areas in which young people, on the basis of their views and attitudes, specify aims in life. The empirical part explores what plans and goals the secondary school students in the region of Tabor have, what their attitudes to education, lifelong learning, career, travelling, relationships and parenthood are and finds out whether young people use help of professionals when they make decisions. At the end of the thesis, a recommendation for pedagogical workers and parents concerning development of positive attitudes of the young generation is given.

Corruption as a Barrier to Development Aid in the Kingdom of Cambodia during the years 1993 - 2014

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show how the development aid which has been received in the Kingdom of Cambodia during the years 1993 - 2014 has been effective. This paper is also focused on the influence which could possibly stop the developing aid from its effectiveness. Based on the data of the World Bank Group is the correlation tested by using Gretl Software for stated years. Besides the growing number od the primary school teachers, the results of the two variables - life expectancy and decreasing child mortality has shown significant correlation with the growing developing aid on 1% confidence level. The author is also focused on corruption as one of the main possible barrier to fulfil effectivness of the international aid.

Intercultural communication - sociocultural skills of students of Russian and English language at secondary schools

The diploma thesis deals with problems of intercultural commnunication, especially with its role in foreign language teaching (chiefly Russian and English language). It introduces the term commnunicative skill as the fundamental goal of contemporary foreign language didactics because it represents the key skill which students of foreign language should acquire. In the first place it is focused on sociocultural skill which represents partial component of communicative skill. The practical part of the thesis is based on via questionaire survey and presents stereotypes and prejudice of students at secondary schools about nationalities whose languages they study. Teaching Methods and their Usage in Teaching of Specialized Subjects at Secondary Schools

In the theoretical part the bachelor´s work gives the characteristics of methods and their importance in the teaching process, deals with the importance of teacher´s personality, mutual teacher-pupil´s relations in teaching-educational process and motivation. The mapping out of teaching methods and possibilities of their use in lessons at the secondary school. The work contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes the characteristics of methods applied in professional subject´s instruction, laboratory exercises and professional training. The aim of the practical part is to find out the fact what teaching methods are preferred by pupils during their practical training. The method of guestionnaire will be used and the guestionnaire will be completed by pupils of 1. ? 4. classes of the hotel and tourism study branch.

Occurance of the chosen risk in term of the gender about children.

Abstract The problems of hazardous behavior with adolescents are getting into the foreground of the wide public. The problem of hazardous behavior with children, adolescents or young people is very real, not only in the Czech Republic, but all over the world, at prezent, it is a worldwide problem representing a substantial social problem with which many specialists in the field of psychologists, psychiatrics, educators, politics and other participating institucions, World Health Organization, are dealing. The Publisher results of research are pointing to a non- decreasing occurrence of hazardous behavior, where it comes to a basic shifting to a lower age group from the point of view of the gender eguality, when the girls and boys engage in hazardous behavior with different circumstances, conditions and occurrence. A whole range of research on this theme exists, but it does not fully concern the hazardous behavior, for instance in connection with information technologies, cell phones and using of habit-forming drugs. The thesis is divided in the theoretical and the practical part. In the theoretical part, the selected forms of hazardous behavior with children and the gender problems are described. In the practical part, the quantitative research method has been chosen,a method of gathering data by means of a questionnaire. The research summary for questionnaire inquiry was created by pupils attending the 7 th to 9 th school year of the primary schools in the South Bohemian region. The aim and purpose of the thesis was to find the appearance of selected risk behaviour with the children from the point of view of the gender, and to map the differences with a view to the gender problems. The aim was accomplished. There were four hypothesis stated. H1: The boys are a more endangered group in occurance of a hazardous behavior in connection with alkohol than the girls. H2: There is a higher risk in connection with usaje non-legal drugs about boys than about girls. H3: Boys are more endangered in the occurrence of a hazardous behavior in connection with habit-forming behavior relating to virtual milieu. H4: Girls are more endangered in connection with communication technology. The thesis may be used as an information survey of a selected hazardous behavior with the children and with the gender problems. The results of the research can be used as informative material for the lay public, for children and adolescents, for parents and other specialists (anti-drug coordinator, methodic of school prevention and not least for the education or as basics for a further following research aktivity. Further, the results of the research can be used for a closer determination of suitable prevention programs. For this reason, the results of the research were given to schools, where the research observation proceeded for the purpose of enhancement of the primarily preventive activity.

Interactive whiteboard in teaching physics on secondary level of basic school

This graduate research thesis describes how to use interactive whiteboards during physics classes in primary school. The thesis focuses on the method and way how to integrate this equipment into classes. Furthermore, there are evaluations of educational applications for this equipment on the Internet and examples of how teachers have incorporated this application into their classes. In addition, this work is supported by research undertaken at selected middle schools in the South Bohemia. The whole work includes videos of this technology being used during physic lectures and own digital learning materials.

An Interdisciplinary Approach to Teaching the Mammals

Diploma thesis deals with an interdisciplinary based teaching approach in biology, specifically the thematic unit of mammals. The theoretical part examines the difference between inter- and subject-specific curriculum, as well as historical perspective of the issues, not least are given options of how integrated learning can occur. In the chapter "Options of integrated curriculum" a brief characterization of the project teaching is presented and compared with the integrated teaching. The practical part deals with an experimental teaching of two classes at the upper secondary school Postupická. The effectiveness of teaching was evaluated by questionnaires and a semi-structured interview.

The using of project method in education of students of secondary agriculture school

The thesis concerns the usage of project based learning in vocational schools. In theoretical part we summarize definitions, including discussion of role of project based learning in pedagogical theory. Then historical concept follows, characterisation and integration of project based learning into curricula documents. Practical part concerns about creations and realization of own project in vocational school during ecological education. Research focuses at evaluation of principles of project based learning in real situation. Results of thesis show fulfilling of principles and high potential of using project based learning for obtaining the key competences which are defined for high school education.

Hazards of HIV, What Know About Them the Secondery Young People in Česká Třebová

This thesis treats of the HIV virus and its hazards. It is composed of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the HIV virus, it clears up the history of its discovery and the ways of transmission. It also describes the development and classification of the HIV infection, makes clear the possibilities of therapeutics and emphasizes prevention. As one of the possibilities of prevention the peer education in the sphere of HIV/AIDS prevention is mentioned here. In the practical part the questionnaire is analysed which was filled in by students of the second and third years of several secondary schools in Česká Třebová. By means of the questionnaire it was found out how the students are informed of the HIV virus, if they know how to protect themselves from it, where they get information and who they would turn on if they wanted to learn something about the virus. Another point of research was to find out if the obtained knowledge is somehow reflected in the common life of the interviewed people and if they feel to be threatened by the virus. My aim was also to find out the students' opinions on some specific situations which are concerned with HIV, like for example having one-night affairs or taking drugs.
