Liberalization of Trade in Peru: Analysis of the Free Trade Agreement with USA and its effect on incomes
Šimůnková, Marta ; Bauer, Michal (advisor) ; Báťa, Karel (referee)
This thesis analyzes the trade liberalization implemented in the form of FTA between Peru and USA in 2009 and its effect on the welfare of different clusters of individuals. In the ambient of economy with high income inequities it evaluates the liberalization separately for different income-level samples. The research is based on the comparison of groups of individuals occupied in sectors that were already liberalized by other market opening tools before 2009 and groups recently affected by the FTA. The analysis is than accomplished on the household survey panel data covering the period between 2007 and 2010. The findings suggest the trade liberalization positively affected not only the wealthier population but also the poor, both from the category of individuals working in sectors producing for domestic consumption. The positive effect on export-oriented producers hasn't been approved.

Dynamic resource balancing in virtualization clusters
Grafnetter, Michael ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor) ; Děcký, Martin (referee)
The purpose of this thesis was to analyze the problem of resource load balancing in virtualization clusters. Another aim was to implement a pilot version of resource load balancer for the VMware vSphere Standard-based virtualization cluster. The thesis also inspected available commercial and open source resource load balancers and examined their usability and effectiveness. While designing the custom solution, a modification of the greedy algorithm has been chosen to be used to determine which virtual machines should be migrated and to select their target hosts. Furthermore, experiments have been conducted to determine some parameters for the algorithm. Finally, it was experimentally verified that the implemented solution can be applied to effectively balance virtualization server workloads by live migrating virtual machines running on these hosts.

The evolution of stars with various masses
Cibulková, Helena ; Brož, Miroslav (advisor) ; Zasche, Petr (referee)
In the present work we study changes of the structure of a star that occur during stellar evolution and the dependence of these changes on the initial mass of the star. Internal changes affect also characteristics of the star which are observable from the outside like the effective tempe- rature or luminosity. At first we briefly derive basic equations of the stellar structure which describe the most important processes inside the star. We assume the star is nonrotating and spherically symmetric. For a detailed description of the stellar evolution, we plot individual quantities for different initial masses (from 0,1 to 100 M⊙). We use the program EZ2 for numerical calculations which enables to model the stellar evolution as long as the condition of the hydrostatistic equilib- rium is satisfied. Finally, we use the theory of the stellar evolution to determine the ages of two open clusters NGC 188 and M 45 using the method of isochrones. Keywords: stellar evolution, Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, equations of stellar structure, pro- gram EZ2 1

Automotive cluster in Central Europe in the world's context
Provázková, Jana ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Střecha, Michal (referee)
This work focus on the probability of preserving automotive industry in the Central Europe. I will mention factors which threaten the Central European car industry. I will also mention which countries are and will be the biggest competitors. For the time being automotive industry in the Central Europe is not in danger but in the future China and India and countries of South and Eastern Europe are a threat. Chinese and Indian car markets are huge but the are not saturated for the present, after their saturation these countries will be looking for another markets and one of them is the Central Europe. European Union is trying to protect its car market and established a lot of safety and emissions standards which China and India don't fulfil. For Central Europe are very important foreign direct investments. Automotive groups from Japan, USA, South Korea, Germany etc. open its factories in Central Europe because Central Europe offers cheaper workforce, high quality, high labour productivity, perfect strategic position and low production costs. Therefore the future of the automotive cluster in Central Europe is not in danger for now.

Geovizualizace proměny demografických ukazatelů aglomerace města Brna v letech 2001-2011
Pavlíková, Kateřina
This diploma thesis deals with geovisualization of changes in demographic indicators in Brno agglomeration in 2001 - 2011. The opening part is focused on theoretical aspects of geovisualization of regional data. Data of chosen demographic indicators of the Brno metropolitan area were provided by Brno Municipality. It was evaluated and then cartographically visualized by tools of spatial statistics while considering the visualization of demographic change in indicators between the years 2001, 2011. The data were interpreted with a focus on determination of compliance of the demographic development in relation to solving this issue at the level of strategic documents and measures done by the public sector by using the cluster analysis.

The Role of Key Worker in the Home for the Elderly
VOTRUBOVÁ, Nataliya
The problem of old age and aging is a present topic. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part is focused on the old age and aging, individual needs and their particularities, on the related legislation, care of the elderly, the Chvalkov retirement home, individual planning and the role of a key worker. The empirical part of the thesis deals with the research methods, the collection of data techniques, the research schedule, the characteristics and the method of choosing a research file, the methods of data processing and the results of the research. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes old age and aging and it specifies individual needs of old age. The second chapter then deals with the care of senior citizens in general, its division, its rules and regulations. The most important laws are presented with emphasis mainly on law no. 108/2006 on social services and on the related public notice no. 205/2006. The third chapter is focused on the Chvalkov retirement home, where the research took place. The next chapters deal with the key workers and individual planning. The empirical part of the thesis deals with searching for answers to the research questions. The aim of the thesis is to find out how individual planning and a key worker can influence the quality of social services from the point of view of the elderly in the Chvalkov retirement home. The main research question is: ?What importance do the elderly in the retirement home attach to the role of a key worker?? And three intermediate research questions are: ?What is the attitude of the elderly in the retirement home towards individual planning? What is the attitude of the elderly in the retirement home towards the role of a key worker? And what is the attitude of the elderly in the retirement home towards the importance of a key worker in connection with individual planning?? The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research methods and on the questioning method (semi-structured interviews with open questions). The research itself was done in two stages. First a preliminary research was done, and then the main research followed. The senior citizens in the Chvalkov retirement home represented the researched group. The respondents were chosen by means of a goal-directed selection. The clients needed to meet some requirements ? to be residents of the retirement home for at least one year and to be willing to cooperate. Four respondents took part in the research. The method of creating clusters was used to analyse the obtained data using the qualitative research methods. It was found out through the research that thanks to individual planning the senior citizens in the Chvalkov retirement home are not only passive addressees of social services, but they can also decide on the quality of their life through the agency of a key worker. Individual planning encourages them to take an active role and responsibility of their own life, the key worker being a part of it. Individual planning and the role of a key worker are evaluated positively by the senior citizens and they find it of high importance for the quality of the social services.

The Singlet-Triplet Gap in Trimethylenmethane and the Ring-Opening of Methylenecyclopropane: A Multireference Brillouin-Wigner Coupled Cluster Study
Brabec, Jiří
The Singlet−Triplet Gap in Trimethylenmethane and the Ring-Opening of Methylenecyclopropane: A Multireference Brillouin−Wigner Coupled Cluster Study Abstract We performed an ab initio study of the singlet−triplet gap in trimethylenmethane (TMM) and of the ring- opening of methylenecyclopropane by the multireference BWCC method. Since the singlet states of TMM and intermediates between TMM and methylenecyclopropane have a strong multiconfigurational character, it is necessary to use a multireference method. The cc-pVDZ and cc-pVTZ basis sets were used. We compared our results with experiments, where available, and with previous calculations performed by MCSCF and spin-flip coupled-cluster-type methods.
