Computational analysis of the dynamic behavior of the thrust bearings
Žatko, Miroslav ; Kos, Pavel (referee) ; Malenovský, Eduard (advisor)
This master´s thesis solves the problem of stationary viscous flow of incompressible fluids in thin layers of fluid film lubrication in fixed pad thrust bearings. The parametric computational model of oil domain was created for investigation the distribution of pressure, velocity and thermal fields together with the determination of the basic parameters as axial force, heating up and friction loss. Subsequently this model was applied for investigation influence of uneven bearing clearance. The problem task was solved by final volume method in Ansys CFX 12.0 software.

Electronic simulator of the dynamics processes
Vaněk, František ; Vaněk, Petr ; Procházka, Pavel ; Cibulka, Jan
This problem is solved by using of electronic simulator of transmitting signals that simulate operational data measured.

Solving of Schrodinger's equation by finite element method
Höschl, Cyril
Numerical solution of electronic structures can be obtained using finite element method. Starting with a variational principle, the author derives the matrix form of discretized Schrodinger equation. Two examples demonstrate the correctness of the derived formula. Possible difficulties in solving real problems are shortly discussed.

Determination of threshold values of components with protective layers
Náhlík, Luboš ; Bareš, Pavel
The contribution is focused on the influence of existing fatigue cracks in protective layers on fatigue life of structures with protective layers. The problem is solved under conditions of linear elastic fracture mechanics with help of finite element method. Is shown, that in the case of the hard protective layer on the ductile substrate represents existing crack with its tip on the bi-material interface dangerous singular stress concentrator, because of decrease of threshold values of applied loading necessary for crack propagation. Knowledge of crack propagation in protective film is of paramount importance when studying potential failure of the substrate.

Mediální prezentace veřejné zeleně v Českých Budějovicích (obsahová analýza jihočeského regionálního tisku)
Kušová, Drahomíra ; Těšitel, Jan ; Bartoš, Michael
Press is a part of mass communication providing the public with information and symbolic contents. It always reflects the supposed interest of the public in concrete problems and it mediates social control of the institutions which are responsible for the particular spheres. On the basis of the content analysis of the regional press in South Bohemia we can state that citizens do not perceive the problem of public greenery as urgent and thus this topic is not very frequent in the media. People mainly observe if public greenery is in good shape. The number of organisms to be encountered in urban environment by greenery users is not large according to the press.

Creating an Android application with help of the nutrition problem
Havlík, Vratislav ; Kobzareva, Maria (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The main target of this bachelor thesis is to create an Android application. The aim of this application is to use household resources effectively with help of an optimization. The user chooses his own way of the optimization to his satisfaction. Application uses linear programming, more precisely a nutrition problem. In the first part the thesis deals with linear programming in general, in the second part the nutrition problem is introduced, the third part is dedicated to optimization of a healthy diet, in the fourth part Android application fundamentals are showed and in the final part the thesis focuses on the application itself.

Pučegl, Pavel ; Malenovský, Eduard (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
Discussion of the application of mathematical softwares for the determination of frequency characteristics of mechanical systems

Business solution of poverty
Chodorová, Monika ; Mládek, Josef (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
The poverty is the common part of the human history. The majority of the world had to face the poverty during the time period and it was neccessary long time period for activation. Some countries solved the problem of poverty faster than others. Unfortunately, there are some countries, which still have to face poverty, espicially countries in Asia, South-America Countries and African countries. The goal of this study is explanation, why we have to face poverty in the 21 th century. This study tell us which factors help to find solution of the problem with poverty. I would like to focus espicially to poverty and providing education in African countries. The part of this study will be explanation how the education systems are created. I would like to get some information about the investment in education.

The Bankruptcy Rules in Linear Ordered Structures
Muchna, Jan ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Černý, Michal (referee)
The bankruptcy problem involves the distribution of perfectly divisible goods. Particular attention is paid to the situations, where the amount of goods available is not enough to cover the demand. An example of real life situations that can be solved using various bankruptcy rules may be a division of a heritage or when a company goes bankrupt and its estates are sold to satisfy interested parties' claims. This paper introduces to the problem a linear structure of the participants, meaning that participants are now satisfied one after another in a preset order. It applies the equal awards (CEA) and the equal losses (CEL) solutions on the revised problem. Since their axiomatization is no longer valid, both solutions are extended and new characterizations are given in the thesis. The thesis contains a series of original proofs for both extended solutions and whole problem is examined in the setting of the well-known river sharing problem.
