Physiotherapy at people suffering from the oncology diagnosis focusing on the breast tumours
MALENINSKÁ, Zuzana
My Bachelor thesis Physiotherapy at people suffering from the oncology diagnosis focusing on the breast tumours, deals particularly with the most frequent malignant breast tumour which is breast carcinoma. The aim of the work in the theoretical part is to make a survey of the breast carcinoma issue with the intention to describe complications after the operation of the breast tumour which occur due to the removal of gravity lymph nodes and their therapy. In the practical part I watched the female patients after the surgery and the changes which occurred, as well as the issue whether the early therapy helped the patients to avoid the after-operation complications. I used the metod of the quality research which was carried out with two female patients who had the surgery major becouse of the diagnosed breast carcinoma. The patients were chosen according to the extent of the surgery major from the basic group of patients of The Hospital Surgical Ward in České Budějovice (Chirurgické oddělení Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s.). I used the following data collection techniques {--} interview, anamnesis, observation (kinesiology analysis), casuistry and personal medical documentations analysis. The results were processed by the form of casuistries. On the basic of patients observations I have proved the fact that the early therapy prevents the after-operation complications. It resulted in better ability to move with the shoulder joint, the relaxing of the soft tissues, regeneration of chest mobility and the correct breathing. Responsible attitude of the patient to self-therapy and preventive practices are an integral part of the therapy. The thesis can be used for needs of the clinical work of physiotherapists, different medical staff members and students who deal with this issue.

The effect IMRT technique by the head and neck tumors looking on the total dose in the organs at risk and the target volumes
WOLFOVÁ, Barbora
The effect IMRT technique by the head and neck tumors looking on the total dose in the organs at risk and the target volumes This work compares two techniques of planning radiotherapy in the head and neck areas. The technique used will be IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy. The development of new technologies in radiotherapy equipment has also brought a wider range of methods of treating carcinomas. The IMRT technique represents a breakthrough in this process and that is why it is dealt with in this work as far as its advantages, as compared with conventional radiotherapy methods, are concerned. I have focused mainly on the distribution of doses in target volumes and critical organs, in particular in the salivary glands and the spinal chord. The region of the head and throat is an area containing the kinds of tissue with various sensitivity and tolerance to radiotherapy. The damage to such tissues has an enormous impact on the patient. That is why the region is a very suitable place for assessing the advantages of the IMRT as compared with conventional techniques. Ten plans from a set of patients suffering from tumour in the area of head and throat have been evaluated in this work by means of DVH (Dose Volume Histogram). The individual plans have been interpreted, conventional plans and IMRT ones separately. I have focused on comparing mean doses and the subsequent comparison of doses of 5 per cent and 95 per cent of the irradiated volume PTV, maximum doses on the spinal chord, and doses of 50 per cent of the irradiated volume of the salivary glands in the individual plans.

Encapsulation of caffeine
Patočková, Klára ; Pekař, Miloslav (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on possibilities of encapsulation caffeine in micro- and nanoparticles. In the theoretical part was devoted to information about caffeine, liposomes and polysaccharides and also on the techniques of encapsulation. In the experimental part 5 different methods were used for preparation of micro- and nanoparticles with encapsulated caffeine. Caffeine was packaged into liposomes and polysaccharide particles (chitosan/alginate). Encapsulation’s effectiveness was determined by HPLC/UV-VIS. Prepared particles were monitored for size and stability by dynamic light scattering. The particles were exposed to the arteficial stomach and intestinal juices and bile acids. Particle stability and amount of released caffeine was monitored. Analytical centrifugation was used to measurement of sedimentation velocity and stability of the prepared particles. Caffeine containing particles were added in several soft drinks to determine particles amount when turbidity occurred.

Physiotherapy of patients with Multiple Sclerosis - questionnaire survey
Kotek, Jiří ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Řeháčková, Hana (referee)
This thesis is focused on physical rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis. The theoretical part deals with information about this disease, and then is devoted to the issues related to the questionnaire, that is, rehabilitation and classification of patients. The practical part presents results of the survey, which objective was to determine whether there are differences in rehabilitation in various European countries and what is the character of these differences. For our purposes the most important questions were about the understanding to the rehabilitation methods, and also about aplicated methods in practise in different countries. The questionnaire was sent to the fifty experts from European countries, united under the banner of the RIMS SIG on mobility, as well as some employees of KRL FNKV. Twenty six of them answered and sent the questionnaire back. Responses were statistically analysed and processed in program called Statistica version 7.1. The survey results shows that there are big differences in organization of physical therapy among the European countries. For example there is obvious difference in setting up rehabilitation program for the same patient in various countries, that means that the physical therapy will always look differently. The questionnaire survey is only a pilot...

Nnursing care for patients with facial injuries
TONCAROVÁ, Lucie
This thesis deals with the nursing care of the patient with facial injuries. Injuries to the face is a synonym for many types of injuries. This term is a soft tissue injury, facial trays, teeth, nose, eye, orbit, burns, frostbite, fractures of the lower and upper jaws, Le Fort fractures and dislocations of the jaw. This, the patient needs nursing care quality, whose sister is a carrier. Sister focuses on the specifics of care and knows how to take care of the sick . The work includes theoretical and practical part. Introduction The theoretical part consists of the types of facial injuries. It builds on the already soft tissue injuries, lower, middle and upper face floor. The thesis continues with information about the causes of disease, diagnostic methods, first aid, treatment, complications and treatment of the orofacial region. Then comes the topic, which includes intervention in a patient with facial injuries within nursing care. Essential topics are dealing with oral hygiene, dressing, pain and nutrition. The following are the communication skills of nurses and rehabilitation of the orofacial region. The practical part consists of a qualitative research using semi-structured interview, which consists of 17 questions. The research sample consisted of nurses traumatology department of the Czech Budějovice Hospital a.s. taking care of patients with facial injuries. Interviews were, after approval of the principal and chief nurse at the appropriate department, where these nurses work. Chats are completely anonymous, a free choice of nurses. The role of imaging techniques in creation of computational models in biomechanics.
Prášilová, Eva ; Valášek, Jiří (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
The first part of the bachelor´s thesis is dealt with the processing history of imaging techniques and their indications in a clinical practice. From point of view of the computer modeling, the computer tomography plays an important role in biomechanics. The second part of this treatment describes the scan processing of sections of two human mandible obtained from computer CT and micro-CT tomography. As a non-invasive way procedure can be characterized the image processing techniques, which analyze a bone density and BVF. The manual segmentation was applied in this analysis provided in ROI analysis software. There are shown the graphs of the bone densities of segments of two human mandibles depending on the specimen length and also there are compared the results of the measurements received from the CT and micro-CT tomography. Then follow the results illustrating the correlation of the relations and recalculations, which can be used as the determination tool of the mechanical properties of bone tissue. Finally there are described the computer models created in ANSYS focused on the different bone density analysis and stress strain analysis.
