Diagnostics and therapy of spiritual emergency - orienting study
Janečková, Barbora ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Břicháček, Václav (referee) ; Hájek, Karel (referee)
The doctoral dissertation contains of a definition of spiritual emergency, differential diagnosis, description of kinds of spiritual emergency. It looks on the therapeutical possibilities in working with these states. Part of the dissertation is analysis of semistructured interviews with clients and therapists who work with these kinds of problems. In the analysis of the interviews with therapists I center on their experience with the dynamics of spiritual emergence, its manifestation and possible existence of similar traits of clients with this diagnosis. Important parts of the interviews are the most effective ways of working with these clients. I was also interested in their own perception on how spiritual emergence occurs and on the possible change in the quality of life of the client after this episode. In the analysis of the interviews with the clients I question when spiritual emergence occurred, how it started, how long did it last and what were the reactions from outside. Important part is centered on the interventions which the client experienced and their efficiency. Case studies demonstrate typical traits described at spiritual emergency, as quite dramatic beginning, complete recovery and also an important change in value system.

Options of application project management principles in the Czech civil sector
Čapková, Barbora ; Novotný, Jiří (advisor) ; Neumaierová, Inka (referee) ; Slintáková, Barbora (referee) ; Hunčová, Magdalena (referee)
Dissertation discusses the manners and principles of fundraising for non-profit organizations that are funded only from national and European resources. The purpose of this dissertation is to highlight existing principles of project management in organizations that systematically receive free financial and non-financial resources. The theoretical part describes the basic terminology for NGOs, ways of fundraising and communication inside and outside the organization. Also are named various concepts, principles, and project management life cycle. The last theoretical part is devoted to methods of project management that facilitate and improve the efficiency. Theoretical explanation of the issue creates a basis for research whose aim is the analysis of project management principles used in obtaining free resources in NGOs. Research is carried out in organizations that receive assets from other than just government and European resources. Dissertation provides a detailed description of fundraising in NGOs, foundations and theoretical comparison of the information gathered. A separate section is devoted to the project discovered principles that contribute to the success of polled organizations in obtaining available resources. The work is intended for non-profit organizations that have little or no experience of acquiring free assets for other than state or European sources. Publications can also be used as an inspiration and source of information for students of related disciplines and other interested parties.

Jago and preman - controversial heroes of Indonesian history
Petrů, Tomáš ; Vrhel, František (advisor) ; Šalanda, Bohuslav (referee) ; Dubovská, Zorica (referee)
The dissertation deals with the historical development of banditry and gangsterism in Indonesia against the background of its relationship with the ruling elite. The author argues that bandits, called jago, or modern gangsters, known as preman, represented the basic pillar of power of all ruling regimes in Java from the classical Javanese kingdoms and the 163 Netherlands East Indies' colonial state to the Suharto's New Order. This pattern changed, however, with the onset of decentralisation and democratization of Indonesian politics - thugs for hire ceased to be agents of state and became a power tool of political parties and other competing interest groups. The author also shows that the regimes tried to eliminate the thugs' criminal activities by integrating them into their respective repressive systems. The general consequence of these intergrational attempts was criminalization of security forces and the state administration. The author further proves the existence of a direct historical and cultural connection between the jago and the preman. These controversial figures also share, despite a substantial time span, three essential features: cooperation with the patron on an ambivalent basis; criminal activities on the side outside this relationship, which secured profit for the elite in return for...

Postglacial colonization of black alder (Alnus glutinosa) and grey alder (Alnus incana) in Europe
Havrdová, Alena ; Mandák, Bohumil (advisor) ; Helena, Helena (referee)
Current species distribution in Europe was mainly influenced by massive climatic and environmental changes during the Quaternary period. Different theories concerning survival of tree species during the last ice age in Europe were proposed and up to date the position of glacial refugia and directions of migration routes are under active debate. My dissertation thesis aimed to combine information from fossil records and genetic analysis to improve knowledge on postglacial history of Alnus glutinosa and Alnus incana. The synthesis of palaeoecological data supports the idea that not only southern but also northern populations were important sources of postglacial Alnus expansion. The delayed Alnus expansion apparent in some regions was likely a result of environmental limitations. Our findings from molecular study showed differences in postglacial histories between temperate A. glutinosa and boreal A. incana. In the case of A. incana, we found an effective refugium in Central Europe located outside classical southern refugia confirming the existence of northern refugia for boreal trees in Europe. Fennoscandian populations are derived from Central-European ones that originated from populations in the Alps. For A. glutinosa, multiple southern refugia were revealed and three main directions of postglacial expansion were proposed: 1) from the northern part of the Iberian Peninsula to Western and Central Europe and subsequently to the British Isles, 2) from the Apennine Peninsula to the Alps, and 3) from the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula to the Carpathians followed by expansion towards the Northern European plains. It has been shown that colonizing lineages have met several times and formed secondary contact zones with unexpectedly high population genetic diversity in Central Europe and Scandinavia. For the first time, we discovered tetraploid populations of A. glutinosa situated in the putative main glacial refugia on the Iberian and Balkan Peninsulas. Neither of them was probably involved in the colonization of Central and Northern Europe after glacial withdrawal. In conclusion, thanks to extensive population sampling, testing of hypothesis postulated based on fossil data by molecular data and using two molecular markers, i.e. chloroplast DNA and microsatellites, with different mode of inheritance and polymorphisms, this project revealed not only the position of glacial refugia of European tree species and discriminate between effective and non-effective ones, but also help infer the main migration routes. This approach enabled us to change some long-lasting paradigms and brought new pieces of knowledge about postglacial colonization of European tree species.

Design make possible to insert one island platform and one outside platform that meet the requirements for access for persons with reduced orientation and mobility. Reconstruction will increase speed on main tracks, from the existing 80 km/h, to 100 km/h

Concert-Hall Brno
Špondrová, Hana ; Šrubař, Pavel (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
This study addresses the design of a new cultural center in the Moravian Square – a polyfunctional object with a great concert hall, a small multifunctional hall with operating and technical facilities, parking, customer services for visitors, and areas for employees and musicians. Also, a restaurant & cafe is a part of this proposed project. New space replaces the unsatisfactory conditions of the current residence of Brno Filharmony in Besední dům – too small, unsatisfactory acoustics, and complicated operation. The cultural center, also, serves as a congress center that is currently missing in Brno - a city of trade fairs and exhibitions. The proposition respects the existing character of the park. The capacity of the new proposed design is from three-quarters underground, and therefore makes a way (nebo „space“) for greenery and pedestrians. The designed object consists of one ground and two underground levels. It has a simple shape with a greenery roof, and is incorporated into the existing spaces of the square. The distinctive element of the design is an open outside atrium in the first underground level. The facase is covered with boards (nebo „panels“) made out of Corian® material in a white shade of Glacier White in contrast to glass windows. The supporting construction is designed from monolithic iron concrete.

Theory of the firm - establishing and company existence
Říha, Jakub ; Šmíd, Jan (advisor) ; Ježek, Tomáš (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is the theory of the firm, why are companies set up and how the company is perceived by those who founded it, therefore entrepreneurs. The main question is, if the theory that builds a theory based on the company's transaction cost savings, corresponds to reality, what are the real reasons for entrepreneurs starting a business and what options future entrepreneurs have. The first part focuses on the analysis of economic theory, which deals with the company, and the ideas of economists whose work has been fundamental for the development of theory of the firm. Among the pioneers we include R.H.Coase and his disciples, such as OE Williamson, O. Hart and others. The result of the work of these authors is the theory of transaction cost savings as the main reasons for the establishment of firms, along with the other supporting reasons. Next follows an extensive legal analysis of the most important forms of business entities, especially the conditions for their establishment. This section is important for understanding the differences between legal and economic conception of the company. The most important forms of business in terms of this thesis are self-employed and limited liability company, for which there is devoted the largest part. Rozhodni si, kterou vetu chces. Another section contains an analysis of transaction costs that arise in the company. We identify the principal moments when transaction costs are incurred and what variables affect them. Since these costs are highly subjective in nature, it is described here as an example of how the situation may appear in various corporate structures. The last part of this thesis is the survey, which identifies the main reasons for the establishment of the company and how it is perceived by entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs. The result is supported by the conclusions of the previous chapters defining the reason for the establishment of a company outside the theory of transaction costs, which are particularly important for the further development of the company and not for the establishment itself.

Banking issues focused on seniors
Studničková, Barbora ; Cvik, Eva Daniela (advisor) ; Kadlecová, Eva (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis consists of characteristics of particular banking products from their history to current usage. Aditionally, the thesis is specialized in the approach of banking institutions too seniors and their current offered possibilities. The practical part of the thesis is focused on a qualitative research through the medium of a questionnaire survey on the topic Banking services, which approaches the problem of accessibility seniors to banking institutions in general and their intensive usage in three different cities. Subsequently, the results of seniors are compared with opinions of other generations in order to determine any existing difference when using banking services dependent on age. Another essential part of the practical part of this thesis is an interview with an employee of one of the major banks, which leads to the discovery of the approach both inside and outside. Thanks to this an overall conclusion of the situation by the client and the bank can be made.
