The Soviet collectivization in the late 20s and in the first half of the 30s of the 20th century and evaluation of the social and economic consequences on Volhynian Czechs

The thesis focuses on economic development in the Soviet Union in the late 20s and in the first half of the 30s of the 20th century. An accent is placed mainly on collectivisation of agriculture during the first five-year plan. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the centrally planned economy, previous economic history of the USSR and Stalin's concept of economic policy. The analytical part of the thesis deals with the process of collectivization and evaluation of the social and economic outcomes and consequences, specifically on the territory of Volhynia, where thousands of Czech citizens emigrated. The hypothesis, that Volhynian Czechs were not directly affected by forced collectivization, was disproved. As a result of collectivization the number of czech population in Volhynia decreased by 30%. The first five-year plan featured a big step towards modernization and self-sufficiency of the country, but in the agricultural sector failed.

Irrationality in the decision- making of an individual as an economic entity in the territory of the Czech Republic

The main objective of this thesis is an in-depth analysis of the decision-making process on issues of economic nature for individuals in the Czech Republic. The degree of rationality occurring in consumer behavior is evaluated based on lessons learned. The theoretical section is concerned with the economic aspect of the decision-making process, which mainly includes knowledge of neoclassical theory, whose basis is the cardinal and ordinal concept of utility maximization. Subsequently there are introduced the alternative approaches to decision making, focusing on the subjective aspects of human reasoning. Using the mutual synthesis of these approaches, the author draws a term behavioral economics, specific elements of which constitute a substantive content of the whole work. The practical section verifies the hypothesis that the decision-making contradicts the theory of rational individual conduct. Data collected through the questionnaire is subjected to analytical procedures by which the stated hypothesis was verified.

the impact of the global economic crisis on international trade of the Czech republic

This thesis addresses the effects of the global economic crisis on the situation in the international trade of the Czech Republic. I focused on exploring the causes of the crisis and its impact on international trade. The chosen problem I solved by using index methods, deduction, induction, and abstraction. Carried out by the research I've found specific effects on the territorial and commodity structure of Czech trade. The main findings are the impact of the crisis on the volume and structure of trade of the Czech Republic from the territorial point of view and according to the classification of SITC.

The impact of South China Sea dispute on trade relations between China and Vietnam

This bachelor thesis investigates the impact of South China Sea dispute on mutual relations between China and Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Thesis lays great emphasis on the analysis of mutual trading relations. The goal of this work is to find out if the dispute over territory has negative influence on mutual relations and to what extent. Therefore, thesis is divided into 3 main chapters. The introductory chapter describes position and development of each country. Second chapter uses findings from the introductory part for the analysis of political and trade relations of both countries. It focuses on the history of mutual relations and mainly it lays emphasis on current mutual relations. Last chapter of the thesis is dedicated to the issues regarding South China Sea. Motives and causes of this dispute are described in this chapter. It provides a view on the course of this territorial dispute, and also impacts on mutual relations are analyzed. The output of all three chapters helps to formulate following conclusion. Dispute over South China Sea has impact on mutual relations. Predominantly, it influences political relations between China and Vietnam, therefore, this dispute is often mentioned in media. However, according to available data this dispute has not had major effect on trading relations. Mutual trading between both countries went off in dispute period without any limitations and barriers.

The legal status of Palestine

The theme of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the legal status of Palestine. The theoretical part of this thesis examines the history of Palestine, the relations between Palestine and Israel, the rejection of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 by Arab states, Palestinian membership in international organisations, the Oslo I Accord and the Montevideo criteria for statehood.The thesis also evaluates the final status negotiations between Israel and Palestine and various Palestinian government programs. The second part of the thesis analyses the constraints posed by divided Palestinian territories and the dynamics and interactions between Palestinian populations living in and outside the territory. Furthermore this diploma thesis focuses on the Palestinian public sector; especially on the areas of justice, education, health system and defense. Individual chapters also deal with the economic instability of Palestine and its financial dependence on the other, mostly European, countries. In conclusion, this diploma thesis will give not only a comprehensive legal view of the status of Palestine, but also views on Palestinian governance.

Position of Czech Documentary Photography During the Normalization Era

The subject of my thesis is the position of Czech documentary photography during the normalization era in Czech territory. The term "position" encompasses several aspects of review: political and creative conditions under which the Czech documentary photography was originating; its status within the photography as artistic discipline and within other artistic disciplines; thinking about documentary photography and its changes over time; social application of documentary photography and its impact on society and, last but not least, its impact on political events. In the 70s and 80s the Czech documentary photography reached the greatest expansion, despite the uneasy political background. My thesis examines (among other things) how, why and under what circumstances this boom occurred.

Documentation of the nature reserve Miletinska bazantnice (Czech Republic)

The aim of this study is to document the floristic species diversity through research in the natural reserve Miletinska bazantnice. Documentation was carried out on the territory concerned during the growing season of 2015. There was a determination of vascular species. The research was mainly focused on endangered and protected species.
The whole area is part of sites of European importance under the Habitats Directive Natura 2000 Miletinska bazantnice was declared a nature reserve in 1954 with an area of 75, 43 hectares and is part of a small-scale specially protected area. Typical features of the area are remnants of natural Podzvicinsko geobiocenosis and therefore the reason for its protection.
Further it describes the history, characteristics of the territory and the natural conditions that are typical for the locality. These include soil science, climate, hydrological, geomorphological, geological and phytogeographical. On the territory of the nature reserve are recorded two memorial trees. It´s oaks (Quercus robur) called Zizkovy duby.
At present territories were found in protected and endangered species and classified under the Red and black list of vascular plants of the Czech Republic (Grulich, 2012) and Decree of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic no. 395/1992 Coll. Into the category of rare taxa that require additional attention include species such as Carex otrubae, Cerastium lucorum, Daphne mezereum, Galium boreale, Listera ovata and Primula veris. The only species Platanthera bifolia is ranked in the category of endangered under both the Red and black list of vascular plants in the Czech Republic and under Decree.
In the field survey, attention was also paid to invasive species, sorted by Catalogue of alien plants of the Czech Republic (Pyšek et al., 2012) and categorized archeophytes (Arctium tomentosum, Cirsium arvense, Convolvulus arvensis, Chelidonium majus)
and neophytes (Arrhenatherum elatius, Impatiens parviflora) and described their risks (Mlíkovský and Stýblo, 2006)

Development of the structure of breeds of hunting dogs in the administrtive territory of the town the Nymburk

Processing overview of the structure of hunting dogs and their frequency in the administrative territory of the town of Nymburk and trying to determine whether the relationship of the structure of hunted animals.
Method of comparing statistical compilations drawn from the administrative area of the town of Nymburk.
Canine statistic-the number of bred dogs entered in the stud book, the number of dogs registered for the spring downspouts, the number of dogs who have passed the trial, the number of breeding dogs.
The ratio of small and large breeds of dogs at a time.
Fads breeding hunting dogs in a given time period.
Statistics breeding and hunting on the territory in the same period. Statistics restocking in the locality.
Results after treatment compared to each other and to confirm the relationship to the structure of hunted animals.
Finally, the recommendations for practice in a given area.

Classification of brownfields of MEP Ostrov for procurement of Municipal Planning Analytical Documents

The aim of this thesis is to gain an insight into the concept of brownfields and
to allocate the underused locations in the district of Ostrov in the Region of Karlovy Vary, which includes 14 municipalities. This study is based on the findings
and experience of Czech and foreign authors who deal with this issue.
The literature review presents some examples of successful case studies, which made use of brownfields in the Region of Karlovy Vary. Additionally, it examines
some new project proposals which are awaiting their approval in the town of Ostrov focusing on the financial support in the current programme period.
Furthermore, this thesis focuses on the issues of underused locations recorded
in the territorial analytical documents of the town of Ostrov in comparison with the results of a field survey, which was carried out in 14 locations in the district
of Ostrov.
The findings and outcomes of this thesis can be used in a proposal of unified classification system of underused locations, in the acquisition of new territorial analytical documents of the town of Ostrov and while compiling further related documents of the Karlovy Vary Region.
