The natural seasonal changes in the food choice and digestive tract of wild ruminants
Kamler, Jiří ; Homolka, Miloslav
Herbivore populations all over Europe have been strongly influenced by human activities. A combination of harvest, changes in forest structure, supplementary feeding, predator extirpation and others factors have led in most cases to increases of their populations and a severe impact on the composition and structure of the forest vegetation. The food choice of free living ungulate species is strongly influenced by season and animal species and changes in diet composition and quality cause the changes in the digestive tract. Effective management of ungulate populations and forest ecosystems should be based not only on detailed information about the impact of deer browsing and the number of deer to harvest but also on the density of deer species, the food supply, the structure of diets consumed by individual species, attraction and quality of the individual components of food supply the total quality of food taken and seasonal changes in digestive tract.

Opportunities for Young People up to 30 Years Old in the Labor Market in the District of Písek
KABÁTOVÁ, Zuzana
The Bachelor´s thesis called "Opportunities of young people up to the age of 30 on the labour market in Písek district" deals with the unemployment issue of young people target group, problems with their placement on the labour market and the structure of vacancies in comparison with qualification criteria in a set group in Písek district. Fresh graduates applying for their first job are considerably disadvantaged in competition with other applicants. They lack of job experience as well as basic working habits; what is more, they fail in being acknowledged with the labour market and employers´ requirements on their future employees. Their unreal visions often contribute to their unemployment, too. Theoretical part clarifies the phenomenon of unemployment and various types of unemployment from frictional, cyclical, seasonal to structural unemployment are confronted. The other theoretical part deals with labour market in general, supply and demand of workforce, job offers and study programmes offers so that there is an equilibrium of the number of graduates at various specialisations and demands of labour market. More attention is paid to the importance of work for a young person, which is the precondition for one´s independence and taking over the responsibility for work done. The problem of young people and unemployment has become so serious that European Union decided to deal with it. One proposal of European Parliament suggests that the state ought to guarantee young people the security for work, offers of requalification courses or work internships. These measures ought to contribute to the prevention of unemployment within this target group. One of the goals covers the field of employment and considers decreasing the unemployment rate of juvenile and young people between the ages of 15 and 24 by a third (compared with the year 2010). The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to find out what visions of young people concerning to their involvement in labour market are like, if they correspond with their conditions and capabilities, whether they look for jobs entirely in their field of study or they are interested in requalification if needed. Questionnaire survey was used for confirmation the hypothesis. The practical part states the results of field research which was carried out in the form of anonymous questionnaire. The questionnaire survey inquired about education of the target group of young people up to the age of 30, their knowledge and skills in the fields of foreign languages, computer literacy and driving vehicles. The survey inquired about the graduates´ willingness to work in shifts, in jobs involving business trips, in various working environments as well as their willingness to work aside their qualification fields. Their near-future visions were verified, i.e. the interest in early job placement, their own activity in looking for a job, the effort to enlarge their qualifications. The final part includes some recommendations aimed at prevention of unemployment particularly focused on acquiring practical skills and habits.

Public awareness of drug problems in České Budějovice district
KOZLOVÁ, Lucie
ABSTRACT Addictive drugs are all around us and they have become a part of our lives. The issue of drug abuse is of critical importance, global, and difficult to solve. Typically, drugs are categorized as tolerated or not tolerated by society, and more or less risky. It is vital, therefore, to know the attitude of public to the issue. Lots of drug abuse causes have already been revealed, just like the reasons why some users develop addiction while others do not. In all probability the abuse of drugs or the addiction development cannot be put down to a single background factor. Everything will depend on personality traits of the individual, on his or her environmental conditions, and on specific effects of the drug. Since I take much interest in these issues, I have chosen for my thesis the subject of Public awareness of drug abuse issues in the District of České Budějovice. I investigated what people knew about drug abuse at the District where I live; their opinions of drug abuse; whether they believed that drug abuse deteriorated social position of an individual; whether they believed it boosted the rate of crime; if people were informed about facilities assisting recovery from drug addiction within the District of České Budějovice; and, last but not least, whether they suspected what drugs could come in their way here. The thesis aimed to examine what people knew about the drug abuse issues in the České Budějovice District. This objective has been met. Fifty three percent of respondents were found well informed on the subject, while the remaining 47% lacked the information. The survey was to prove or disprove hypothesis that the public was unaware of organizations providing help to drug addicts - the hypothesis was not confirmed since 51% of respondents were informed about the relevant organizations and 49% were not. Another hypothesis predicted that the public could not tell the illegal drugs from the legal ones - it was not confirmed as the public was found sufficiently informed. The hypotheses expecting the public to believe that drug abuse drives crime and deteriorates the addict's social position were confirmed by the bulk of respondents living in the District of České Budějovice. Ninety nine percent of the respondents believed the drug abuse pushed up the crime rate and 95% were of the opinion that it affected the addict's social position. As follows from the survey, the public in the České Budějovice District was relatively well informed of the drug abuse issues, though the differences encountered between awareness and unawareness of the subject were just minor. I intend to release the thesis as an information source for the general public(in the form of brochures, internet publications or periodicals); moreover, I want to offer the results to organizations engaged in the drug abuse treatment and to students of the University of South Bohemia to serve as training material. The public will find a wealth of important drug-related information in the paper, while the addiction treating organizations will be prompted to fill the gaps still existing in information available to the general public.

DRMOTOVÁ, Adéla
Romanies in the Czech Republic are considered the most numerous national minority. At present time we can percieve especially the gradual diappearance of traditional values of this ethnic and its place on the edge of society. One of the ways out of this situation is considered education of Roma children. The school successfulness is closely related to education. Therefore, the topic of my thesis is called {\clqq}Roma children and their school successfulness.`` The thesis was conceived as qualitative research, the aim of which was to chart school successfulness of Roma children at the begining of school attendance (first and second grades) from the view of Roma children and their parents. In theoretical part I devoted to historical fates of Romany people, their culture and their contemporary position in society. This part contains information on Romanies´ education and describes school successfulness of Roma children. The technique of field data collecting was half-guided dialogue completed with observation and analysis of the documents. The target research group were Roma children from ``Erko``- low-threshold facility for children and youth at District Charity in Jihlava, and for their parents. The research results were processed by form of case study and consequently compared with scientific literature. Following hypotheses resulted from the research: ,,Education of Roma children is important for Roma patente.``,,It is important to be educated for Roma children as well.`` From the results it is evident that ,,Roma parents are interested in school results of their children.`` The research showed: ,,if a child attends pre-school institution, the risk of repetition in the first grade decreases.`` ,,Main reason of first grade repetition is failure in Czech Language.`` ,,Czech Language represents the biggest problem for Roma children at the beginning of school attendance, therefore it turns in the least favourite subjekt.`` {\clqq}Mothers dominate in the sphere of school duties of their own Roma children.`` The research also realised that {\clqq}Roma children don´t know Roma language.`` {\clqq}Parents don´t tell Roma fairy-tales or stories to their children.`` This work gives basic survey on Roma ethnic. The research material can serve as a base for further study or according to offered hypotheses it can become an inspiration for quantitative research.

The influence of literature on the process of standardising the Kajkavian language region
Jirásek, Karel ; Kvapil, Miroslav (advisor) ; Rychlík, Jan (referee) ; Vinkler, Jonatan (referee)
The dissertation looks at the influence that literary works have had on the process of the language standardisation of the Croatian Kajkavian language. At the same time it follows the formation of the standard Slovenian language in Slovenian literature. Despite the fact that Kajkavian dialects are neighbours to the Slovenian dialects and are closely related to them, the language standardisation of the Kajkavian and Slovenian languages took place independently of each other, influenced by different historical conditions, and is therefore two separate processes which, however, are subject to the same regularities. The introduction looks at the European context of the formation of literatures in national languages and the fundamental changes that occurred following the expansion of book-printing. In it the author describes the factors that had an impact on the genre composition and literary production in national languages. The expansion of book-printing also caused the need for creating and standardising languages incorporating several dialects over larger territories. In this part the beginnings of Croatian and Slovenian book-printing are discussed and also a comparison is made with the situation in the Czech lands and the German and Italian environment. The main part of the dissertation deals with two...
