Green technologies and their use in the Czech Republic
MRKVIČKOVÁ, Markéta
This Bachelor thesis on the topic of Green technologies and their use in the Czech Republic is focused on the area of renewable energy sources. Overall, it clarifies the issue of waste, to use them, and assesses the technologies implemented in the South Bohemia region, that ensure they are processed from ekononomical and ekological point of view. Processing of this Bachelor thesis is focused not only on mapping out of the current state but even on prediction of potential future development in the closing chapters of the text.

Dependence of Sludge Thermal Pre-treatment on its Dewatering
Žerava, Zdeněk ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Boráň, Jaroslav (advisor)
The first part of the thesis is focused on the problems related to sludge and evaluates sludge disposal from waste treatment plants. The thesis mentions factors influencing method selection of sludge disposal as well as it compares sludge disposal in the Czech Republic and in the other states of the EU. It describes a complete waste treatment line and sludge disposal in the area of sludge treatment and disposal. It deals with sludge disintegration and describes the most effective methods of disintegration. The second part of the thesis describes an experimental part of disintegration of waste treatment sludge. An experiment was conducted in the school laboratory in a way of thermal disintegration in the double-surface pressure tank. The disintegration was conducted to temperatures of 60 °C, 90 °C, 120 °C, 150 °C, and 180 °C. We monitored dependence of the sludge dry residue content on disintegration temperature as well as content of suspended solids in liquid fraction (FUGAT). It was possible to choose optimal temperature of disintegration in accordance with processed results.

The Model of Financial Compensation for placement of a Deep Geological Repository of Radioactive Waste in the Czech republic in period from 2010 to 2016
Englerová, Anna ; Zeman, Martin (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
Author examines a way of allocation of governmental financial resources to municipalities in locations preselected for deep geological repository. She is searching for a way how to add a motivational incentive to the process of allocation of financial resources in order to improve municipalities attitude towards deep geological repository. Hypothesis, examined in this thesis, contains two related questions. It is assumed that (1) amount and structure of financial resources can significantly affect municipalities decision making and also that (2) current mechanism of allocation of compensations is ineffective and does not create sufficient incentives. Currently (end of the year 2016), negotiations between government and municipalities are in crisis despite significant financial compensation from government nuclear account to the municipalities. This thesis have potential to change municipalities negative stance on deep geological repository through motivational model of resource allocation. Theoretical part reviews basic economic background and introduces historical, sociological, technological and economic views of radioactivity and deep geological repository. In practical part author analyzes socio-economic situation, compares evolution of transfers from government to municipalities with their attitude towards deep geological repository in time and shows that current system of resource allocation does not motivate the municipalities to change their stance on deep geological repository. That confirms second part of our hypothesis. Author also proposes a motivational model of resource alllocation. She confirms its viability by comparing it with similar models from other countries, by surveying mayors of concerned municipalities and also by examining experts opinion. Verification of the model confirmed its motivational effect. By that, first assumption of our hypothesis, that structure of resource allocation can significantly affect municipalities decision making, was confirmed.

Synthesis and comparison of activity of potential reactivators of acetylcholinesterase inhibited by cyclosarine
Lipka, Lukáš ; Doležal, Martin (advisor) ; Kučerová, Marta (referee)
SYNTHESIS OF POTENCIAL QUATERNARY ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE REACTIVATORS AND EVALUATION OF THEIR POTENCY TO REACTIVATE CYCLOSARIN-INHIBITED AChE Mgr. Lukáš Lipka Department of pharmaceutical chemistry and drug control, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Heyrovského 1203, 500 05 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic Abstract of the rigorous thesis: Nine potential AChE reactivators were synthesized. Their potency to reactivate AChE inhibited by cyclosarin nerve agent was tested in vitro. According to the obtained results, 1,4- bis(2-hydroxyiminomethylpyridinium)butane dibromide seems to be most potent AChE reactivator. The reactivation potency of these compounds depends on structural factors such as presence of quaternary nitrogens, lenght of the linking chain between both pyridinium rings, and position of the oxime moiety at the pyridinium ring. The independence of potency of reactivator trimedoxim at the kind of anion present in his molecule was validate.

Secondary minerals origined on burning coal waste piles in selected coal basins in the Czech Republic
Martinec, Petr ; Klika, Z.
In this paper the existence of coal waste pile have been divided into various stages. Four of these stages (A, B, C and D) belong to stage of coal waste pile heating. Whereas stage A run at the ambient low temperature the stage D run at very high temperature (above 900°C). The fifth stage E follows cooling period and sixth stage F interaction of coal waste pile with injected material that is added to burning coal waste pile in order to decrease its temperature. Each stage is characterized by various condition at which new secondary minerals are formed. Some of them are typical just for related stages of coal waste pile existence.

New trends of disposal of radioactive waste
Vohralík, Lukáš ; Trtílek, Radek (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
The main point of my diploma thesis is accession the questions of disposal of radioactice waste and related proceeding with it. The thesis is engaged in estimation of the current disposal site in the Czech republic and analysis of the particular technological ways of the procces with radioactice waste. The thesis is engaged in real possibilities of maximum minimization radioactive waste in the Czech republic in the context of raising quantity radioactive waste. It is taken up new trends in disposal of radioactice waste and technology of the modification of radioactice waste before storing.

The Nuclear Power Plant – The Green Source of Energy
Hynčica, Martin ; Vágner, Jiří (referee) ; Vágner, Jiří (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with nuclear energetics and its impact to the environment. Present state of the energetics, mainly nuclear energetics, in the Czech Republic is discussed here. Also perspective of nuclear energetics is given. The thesis describes nuclear power plant waste handling and also spent nuclear fuel handling. Nuclear power plant is compared with other sources of electric energy, which are counted to the energetic mix. The author focuses on fossil fuels and also on the renewable energy sources. The amount of produced waste to the unit of produced energy, built up area, safety and economic indicators and other parameters are followed for each source of energy.

Economic analysis of the waste transfer over the frontier
Osersová, Marta ; Slavíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Petrášek, František (referee)
This paper is aiming at an economic analysis of the waste transfer over the frontier. The transfer of the waste over the frontier is legally arranged by Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on shipments of waste and by Act 185/2001 on waste and amendement of some other acts, in the wording of later regulations. The purpose of waste transferring has got a key significance. The waste which is to be recovered can be imported in the Czech Republic and put on free secondary raw materials market providing the conditions stipulated in the law are performed. The waste which is to be disposed of is not allowed to be imported in the Czech Republic Nevertheless, there are economic bodies, both on the side of demand and on the side of supply, that are interested in this service. The existent demand which can be met by an adequate supply makes a space for the business. However, the business can't be realized legally because of a legal impediment. That is why we are facing a rise in the gray economy The paper has tried to describe the conditions and the acting of the business on secondary raw materials market and to point out the benefits brought in the involved persons and the society as a whole by this usiness. We also wanted to expose the loss of private and social benefits caused by the ban on dealing in disposing of waste and by acting of the gray economy.
