Volumetric model of human vocal folds
Vampola, T. ; Horáček, Jaromír
The article describes the vollumetric 3D FE model of real human vocal folds in a defined phonation position. The model was developed from the CT images of the plaster casts obtained by a special procedure during experiments with the excised human larynges, when the phonatioon caused by the airflow was suddenly stopped without changing the position of the fixed larynx. The model is determined for studies of dynamical stresses in the vocal fold tissue during vocal folds collisions.

The situation of disabled persons in the labour market in the main City of Prague in 2014 and 2015
Majorová, Michaela ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Barák, Vladimír (referee)
The topic of this thesis are disabled people. The main goal of this thesis is describe the situation th these people in the labor market of Prague. This description is based on the founded data and the specialized literature. There will be explained the concepts of labour market, unemployment, aktive employment policy first in the theoretical part. There are for the next time explained the concepts of disabled people, thein characteristics, different type of these disabilities, legislativ of the employnment of these people, rehabilitation programmes and the enterprises with more 50 % share of employed disabled people. The practical part is based on the analysis of the selected dates of Český statistický úřad and Ministerstvo práce a sociálních věcí. There is included my own anonymus questionnaire research of selected eemployers. The goal of this research is to show, how is the situation of the employers and the diabled people in Prague. It was found by using this research, that the situation in our main city is very positive. Employers offer many employments to disabled people, althoug they don't have to do that and they don't have any statutory obligation.

Resistance to activated protein C
BLATNÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
Thrombophilia is a congenital or acquired disease which is characterized by an increase in the risk of occurrence of venous thrombosis. Compared to non-carrier population this life-threatening complication more frequentli occurs in trombophilia risk carriers especially in a period also know as additive risk for instance limb immobilization after an injury, gravidity, the use of hormonal contraceptive pills, surgery, diabetes, which are characterized by immobilization an long distance travel by plane. Currently there are common pharmaceuticals available that can reduce the risk of thrombosis in the additive periods. However it is necessary of the risk carrier to be aware, of its presence and to avoid or at least minimize the risk. For this reason screening of people at high risk plays a key role. There are many kinds of examinations for these purposes. The most common testing procedures used in practice are functional examinations and molecular-genetic tests which are the topic of my bachelor degree thesis, as well as a comparison of the methods and the results we get. The methodological part of my bachelor degree thesis was completed in the clinical laboratory of the Regional Hospital in Kladno, coagulation ward. The blood samples were obtained during routine operation of the laboratory where I am employed. I searched samples among newcomer patients that were found to be resistant against activated protein C and consequently positive for the Leiden mutation too, based on preventive examinations and among patients observed for their family anamneses University Hospital in Prague. The measured data were in inserted in a table together with the results obtained by PCR method and then were compared to each other. My bachelor degree thesis describes functional examinations carried out by the clinical laboratory in the Regional Hospital in Kladno. A preanalytic phase, a methody part, a desription of analyzer Sysmex CA 1500 made by Siemens, which operates in a princip based on a optical method, where a red light goes through a cell with reagents and so indicates a change at light scattering. Next are desribed reagents which were used include their starage neither., the reagents used including the process of their preparation before use and storage. All of the foregoing procedures have been carried out in line with standard operation procedures (SOPs) which are used in the clinical laboratory in Kladno hospital and which have been fully authorized and audited. The method of examination by PCR was described based on my consultations with MUDr. Vaclav Maťoška and based on my short term internship in the laboratory of molecular diagnostics in the Hospital Na Homolce, and my co-operation with Ing. Jaroslava Hájková from the Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics, General University Hospital in Prague. This proces consists in three steps and in desired number of cycles. Each of these steps take place at a certain temperature's conditions. For this purpose is used a so-called thermocycler that is a machine what is designed in a way to be able change a temperature in the desired time intervals and it is working exactly in these following steps: Denaturation - During this step there is a DNA graduadely heated up to a temperature over 92 C, usual 94-95C, when the hydrogen bonds, which connected complementary strands, break down. A hybridisation - there are primers and their hybridisations annealing to the complementary DNA strands. This is performed on lowered temperature conditions to interval in range 50-65 C. A elongation ( a extention, a synthetic phase) there is a need a temperature about 65-75C for new DNA strands syntheses, depending on used DNA polymerase.

The Effects of the New Deal on the social status of Afro-Americans in selected sectors of the US economy
Schwammenhöfer, Tomáš ; Tajovský, Ladislav (advisor) ; Johnson, Zdenka (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the effects of the New Deal legislation on Afro-Americans in the 1930s. Specifically, the thesis analytically focuses on the influence of various politician of this program on their social environment within the US economy. For the ease of understanding of whole issue is needed to know the situation of Afro-Americans in the previous decade as well as in the Great Depression. That is the content of the first two chapters. Subsequently there is the outline of the situation leading to the election of F. D. Roosevelt, US President. The last and as well the most important chapter of the whole thesis is devoted to analysis of individual programs and their impact on Afro-Americans. New Deal generally meant a huge progress in their economic and political affairs.

Risk group of persons with disabilities on the labour market in Prague from 2005 to 2015
Hošková, Laura ; Maule, Petr (advisor) ; Lukášová, Tereza (referee)
The theoretical part of the Bachelor Thesis comprehensively illustrates the status and representation of persons with disabilities (PWD) on the current labour market in the Czech Republic. In a general manner, the Thesis looks at the employment policy as well; especially its legislative basis in the legal framework of the Czech Republic and selected EU countries. Furthermore, the legal obligations of employers of PWD and the possibilities of fulfilling the mandatory share of PWD employment are stated. Findings of two qualitative employment studies are presented showing that PWD enter the labour market equipped with specialized competencies, which they are willing to complete by retraining programmes in case of need. The employers perceive the employment of PWD mainly as a financial profit, granted to them by the state; and the legislative conditions are a sufficient incentive for them. The questionnaire survey pointed out that the weakness in the employment of PWD is the lack of part-time jobs, which are highly demanded among them. Therefore the Thesis presents a solution, which could be the creation of shared work positions.

The development of government debt in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2015
Zeman, Mikuláš ; Klement, Josef (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the development of government debt in the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2015 with respect to the development of revenues and expenses of national budget as well as the development of macroeconomic indicators. The thesis is focused on evaluation of the economic policy of respective governments during the period and assessment of the effect of political reasons on the development of government debt. It also comprises a comparison of the situation in the Czech Republic with the situation in certain post - communist states. The theoretical part describes main notions the thesis deals with. Eventually it presents thoughts of selected economists on the economic policy. The practical part carries out analysis of the development of government debt in respective periods focusing on revenues and expenses, and the development of selected macroeconomic indicators. Evaluation of the economic policy of respective governments is also included. In its conclusion the thesis assesses an effect of political reasons on the amount of the government debt in view of relevant theories and hypotheses. The analysis showed that under the studied circumstances only one of the hypotheses became evident, namely that a weak position of the government leads to remarkable budgetary deficits.

The effect of investment in tertiary education on gross wages in the region Prague
Diessner, Daniel ; Chytil, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to determine whether and how higher education affects gross wages. The theoretical part focuses on the theory of human capital, especially investment in education. The theory posits that a higher investment in human capital leads to higher yield, higher wages. The validity of this concept will be tested on the group of respondents who entered the labour market at the turn of millennium. Concentration of candidates with tertiary education in this period has risen considerably, which could cause an imbalance in the labour market. The practical part is based on the work of Mincer (1974). I used Mincer Earnings Function as a basis to build regression model. Partial aim is to prove the declining rate of return on investment in tertiary education using Mincer Equation.

The transformation of the hegemonic party: the case of Mexico
Mrvová, Lucie ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Paulenková, Kristína (referee)
In many countries there are several political parties in power. In some of them, however, one party is in a position of hegemony. Other political parties are prevented to exercise their real power and often act only as a parties creating an illusion of democracy in a state where it does not exist. The present thesis deals with the hegemonic party systems in terms of their origin and subsequent transition. The thesis is based on the hypothesis that changing the rules of the hegemonic party will lead it to lose its status and power. As a case study of the hegemonic party regimes serves political system in Mexico, Mozambique and Cambodia. The first chapter defines the notion of a political party, party systems theory and transition mode. The second chapter deals with the hegemonic party systems. The third chapter deals with the case of Mexico and its system of hegemonic party. Findings refute the validity of the above hypothesis, since in many countries, even after the successful completion of the transition, earlier hegemonic parties maintain their power and their electoral support is high.
