Possibilities and difficulties of lifelong education for nurses in outpatient departments
MALOUŠKOVÁ, Zdeňka
The thesis is focused on educational possibilities for nurses working in outpatient departments. Professional development of nurses is made possible by lifelong learning. It is a way how to obtain current information, keep up with recent knowledge and skills that may be applied in medical care. The results have shown that both nurses in private outpatient departments and nurses in policlinics choose the seminars or lectures according to the topic, not according to the place where they are held. The majority of nurses from private outpatient departments and policlinics choose seminars and conferences relevant to their professional and personal interest, not according to the price. Bosses in policlinics are more obliging when nurses wish to attend seminars and conferences than private doctors.

A classification of hyper-mobility, as well as diagnostics and differential diagnostics, are also included here. The theoretical section aims to describe the problems associated with hyper-mobility and the diagnostic difficulties. The practical section of this thesis describes the research that applied the qualitative research method. The test group consists of two women of different ages who have been diagnosed with hyper-mobility in their root joints. Their therapy took place in the rehabilitation department of the Vltava Health Centre in České Budějovice. All three patients provided their case history, underwent preliminary kinesiological analysis and verification of hyper-mobility. On the basis of this, the most effective individual therapy was designed and performed, which was originally the aim of this practical section. The therapy was verified through a final kinesiological examination which provided the grounds for the final evaluation of results. This thesis can offer a comprehensive view on the problems of hyper-mobility and the associated symptoms. It emphasises the fact that hyper-mobility should be taken into account and should not be ignored, which has often been the case up to now. The work can also serve as a source of inspiration when designing a rehabilitation plan for hyper-mobile patients.
