Conducting Polymers. Formation, Structure, Properties, and Applications
Stejskal, Jaroslav ; Trchová, Miroslava
Conducting polymers are studied because of their conductivity, as functional materials, and for their ability to respond to external stimuli. Polyaniline and polypyrrole are typical but by no means the only conducting polymers. They are investigated alone, or as components of compound materials. The synthesis of conducting polymers and the preparation of their composites, their structural characterization, their physical and chemical properties, and their applications both in well-established and new surprising directions are of interest. The conference booklet includes the abstracts of 7 invited plenary lectures, 45 contributed short lectures and 79 posters devoted to the chemistry, physics, and applied science of conducting polymers.

Physical properties of InP epitaxial layers prepared with dysprosium admixture
Grym, Jan ; Procházková, Olga
Physical properties of commonly prepared InP layers grown by LPE technique and those grown from Dy treated melt are compared. The layers were examined by SEM, low temperature PL spectroscopy, C-V measurements and temperature dependent Hall effect. Structural, electrical and optical properties of InP layers exhibit a significant dependence on the presence of Dy and its concentration in the melt. When increasing the concentration of Dy the reversal of electrical conductivity occurs.

Jev "zamrzlého pole" v elektricky vodivých médiích, řešený prostředky klasické elektrodynamiky
Doležel, Ivo ; Karban, P. ; Mayer, D. ; Ulrych, B.
The concept "frozen field" is often used in association with behavior of strongly electrically conductive media. Being introduced in astrophysics the phenomenon consists in drift of magnetic field by electrically well conductive medium (plasma or ionized mixture of gas and dust particles) that moves due to some primary mechanism not immediately associated with this magnetic field. This paper presents the description of the effect by means of classical electrodynamics in nonrelativistic medium and its solution in an integral formulation.

Shear stress relaxation of bituminous binders in DSR
Musil, Vladimír ; Hegr, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis describes the relaxation properties of bituminous binders determined in dynamic shear rheometer (DSR). Paving bitumen, polymer modified bitumen (PMB) and crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRmB) were chosen for comparison. In order to describe the effects of ageing on asphalt binders relaxation properties, the laboratory simulation of ageing using RTFOT and 3xRTFOT method was performed. For each binder were simultaneously conducted tests of needle penetration, softening point and elastic recovery. Selected bitumens were used for the production of asphalt mixtures. The low-temperature properties tests (TSRST) were performed for these mixtures, when the results were compared to the relaxation properties of binders determined in the DSR.

Development of Resistant Coating Systems Based on Polymer Binders
Voráčová, Veronika ; Vyhnánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to propose the use of waste materials as filler for the selected coating systems used for chemical protection of concrete surfaces. The used filler could not affect the existing binder of the coating system. Research was conducted using two materials N141 and N 121. The waste material was chosen by his chemical and physical properties. Between suitable materials belongs slag, fly ash, foundry sand and glass waste. The selection based on Lena Chemical s.r.o companies request was selected glass waste. The practical part includes examination as fillers, and the corresponding tests for coating systems with pre-used filler. Finally, the assessment of the suitability of the materials used.

Inductive sensor approach electrical conductive materials
Bláha, Vladimír ; Kejík, Petr (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This work deal with proposal and construction of inductive sensor with planar coils, production functional prototype, simulations partial circuit with their resulting confrontation measured output signal. Further then includes measured parameters of prototype, that are compare with commercial inductive sensor similar type.

Molecular current switch
Nešpůrek, Stanislav ; Sworakowski, J.
Scheme of an optically controlled current switch is put forward, based on properties of a conducting polymer containing photochromic moieties chemically attached to the main chain. The idea is supported with results of calculations of local states for charge carriers formed in the vicinity of dipolar species in molecular materials, and with measurements of the drift mobilities in polysilane copolymers containing polar benzaldehyde 2,4-dinitrophenyl-hydrazone groups.

FTIR spectroscopic study of the protonation of conducting polymer with energetic compound
Trchová, M. ; Sapurina, I. ; Stejskal, Jaroslav
Preparation of materials combining the features of conducting polymers and energetic compounds is demonstrated. The FTIR spectra are used to discuss changes in the molecular structure of product of protonation reaction between two non-conducting compounds, polyaniline base and 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one.
