Změny v chemickém složení podzemních vod na transektu nivy řeky Lužnice v CHKO Třeboňsko
Rauch, Ota
The nitrate and chloride contamination in the groundwater across the floodplain LuÔnice river were monitored for the period 1987-1993. The rapid decline from the terrase to the river channel is connected to the dilution of groundwater and denitrification. As a result of change in the fertilization after 1989 the decreasing of pollution was detected.

Changes in chemical composition of surface water at the model catchment Lesni potok during the spring snowmelt 2009
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Dobešová, Irena ; Rohovec, Jan ; Buchtová, Jana
Changes of surface water chemistry during the spring snowmelt were evaluated at the forested experimental catchment Lesni Potok found in National Reservation Area Voděradské bučiny. The pH value of surface waters decreased and together with high discharge it launched changes of solutes concentrations. As a good indicator of groundwater in the discharge were evaluated concentrations of Si and isotopic signature of 18O-H2O. The concentration of the main anion SO42- in waters of Lesni potok oscillated during the spring snowmelt in dependence of ratio between melting snow, soil solution, precipitation and groundwater. During the period of increased penetration of surface soil horizons with the water from melting snow causing the increase of DOC concentrations. Concentrations of DOC determined the export of total Fe. Concentrations of Al with DOC did not correlate because the driving factor on concentrations of Al at Lesni Potok is the surface water pH. Concentrations of NO3- were rapidly decreasing during the snowmelt and at the end of this episodic event NO3- concentrations were trivial due to the rapid flushing of soil horizons.

Agricultural management in vulnerable zones
Klír, Jan ; Kozlovská, Lada
The methodology describes measures for protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources in vulnerable zones of the Czech Republic. The methodology clearly describes individual requirements of the 3rd Action Programme of the Nitrates Directive for the period 2012 - 2016 and management rules for reduction of nitrogen losses by leaching into surface water and groundwater. Explanation of the terms used and links to selected professional publications are supplied.

Biodegradation of Crude Oil Hydrocarbons in Groundwater by Permeable Reactive Barriers
VEJŘÍKOVÁ, Ivana
This work represents the grant application for project dealing with biodegradation of crude oil hydrocarbons in groundwater by permeable reactive barriers. The project is focused on the optimalization of nutrient supply and residence time for the two pilot permeable reactive barriers.

Examination of proposal attacking on water critical infrastructure by terrorists in the region of Hradec Králové
DOLEJŠKA, Luboš
This master thesis mentions the brief information about Hradec Králové region in the first chapter. It is focused on the characterization of water as a basic structural element of life on the Earth. The information about underground water, water sources and its distribution, drainage, water ducts and towers, water storages and the protection and the future of the water were necessary to mention in the context of this part of the master thesis. The master thesis brings the information about the way to lead water from the sources to the final consumers. It was also focused on the wide theme of terrorism, the master thesis has no sense without mentioning of these basic information. The water critical infrastructure could be damage by its usage in Hradec Králové region. The infrastructure and the critical infrastructure were compiled in detail in the last part of the contemporary state of this master thesis to make up better idea about its parts. The aim of this master thesis was to explore the possibilities of the attack of the critical water infrastructure in Hradec Králové region by the terrorists. As one of the method for the elaboration of the contemporary state was used the collection of the relevant literature in the master thesis. The subsequent background research method results from this collection of the relevant literature. The method FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) classified as a method of the compilation risk analysis was the another method which was used for the evaluation of the outcomes from the guided interviews. With success we can tell that the critical infrastructure is sufficiently protected against the potential terroristic attacks in the specific places in Hradec Králové region.

Methods of the baseflow separation and trends of phosphorus concentrations in this runoff
ŠVARCOVÁ, Eliška
The aim this bachelor thesis is to clarify the separation of streamflow at the individual components, describe their genesis, hydrological cycle and water balance. Furthermore, the thesis is specifically focused on the groundwater discharge component - baseflow . There are described some of the baseflow separation method. They are a method of empirical, methods based on graphical separation of streamflow hydrograph, methods that use a digital filter to separate the daily streamflow time series, methods that take into account of groundwater level or methods based on the analysis of natural isotopes and chemical substances and so on. There are many methods for the separation of the baseflow, and they are continously developing or are creating new and their results are often very different. There is also concentration of phosphorus and phosphates in groundwater and transfer of phosphorus by groundwater discharge into surface streams mentioned

Practical Application of Photochemical and Photocatalytic Processes for the Treatment of the Contaminated Water
Mašín, P. ; Žebrák, R. ; Klusoň, Petr ; Šolcová, Olga
This contribution deals with utilization of photochemical H2O2/UVC and photocatalytic TiO2/UV oxidation in pilot scale treatment of the contaminated groundwater and wastewater. Photochemical oxidation was tried on destruction of some compounds from production of aniline (benzene, aniline, nitrobenzene) in groundwater. Photocatalytic oxidation TiO2/UV was tested on destruction of some endocrine disruptors in water outlet from wastewater treatment plant. Both technologies have shown highs efficiencies of pollutant decontamination, photochemical technology H2O2/UVC shows higher efficiency then photocatalytic method.

Comparison of selected methods of calculating of the basic runoff in a small watershed and evaluation of the basic runoff effect to the concentrations of nitrogen in total runoff
MAIEROVÁ, Monika
This thesis is focused on the selected methods of calculating basic runoff on a small catchment basin known as the P6, which belongs to the basin Kopaninsky flow and assess the impact on the basic runoff concentration of nitrate nitrogen in the total runoff. The thesis also analyzes the total, surface and subsurface runoff with its detailed division. There are also described in detail the chosen methods used for the separation of basic drainage. There is shown their mutual comparison too. We dealt with the nitrogen in groundwater. The methods for separation of basic runoff are described with regard to the content of nitrogen compounds, which are practically the most common type of pollution of groundwater used as drinking water sources.
