Dománková, Jana ; Martinek, Michael (advisor) ; Křišťan, Alois (referee)
This thesis "The Low-Threshold Club in Humpolec - Yes or No?" deals with a question whether it is desirable to establish a low-threshold club for young people. In Humpolec there are several institutions offering classic leisure time activities to young people. The department for social and legal children's protection takes care of the young who are in danger of negative impacts. Everyone spends their free time in a specific way. The results of a survey made in Humpolec among respondents aged over fifteen show how the local teenagers spend their free time. The final judgment about foundation of a low- threshold club is necessary to be based on adolescent- aimed theories. Everyone is influenced by their psychic experience. Mašek, Lukáš ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Lukešová, Zdeňka (referee)
During my interviews with teenage skinheads their insightful answers suprised me. I wanted to speak with them on neutral grounds, but then I decided, for convenience, to invite them to my home. This offer was reseived with amazement. It ment that I was not scared of having them at my home and showed my determination to know more about them and their motives. They were very communicative and honest, which I did not expect. I thought that they would be bald and would be wearing bomber jackets and DocMartens boots. The reality did not match the stereotypes as these teenage skinheads were much like other teenagers in appearance. I saw only few indications of their subculture (sewn-on patches, badges on their trousers, safety pins on the boots). Some of them had bomber jackets. These teenagers are still developing unlike the previous generations of skinheads. It can bee seen clearly by the clothes they wear, by the asseseries they choose, and the way they conducts themselves. My first hypothesis about the attendance of youth centre was not varified. However, I came across interesting jargon which they are using. They used normal words with rather meanings, for example "fight", "riot", and "meeting" means organized group fight, fight for political and social reasons, and spontaneous fight respectively. Fight is...

Qualitative research which is based on semi-structured interviews showed that mothers experience changes in behavior and social changes rather negative. On the contrary they experience physical and cognitive changes quite positive. Then it was found out that the coping of these changes is quite difficult for most mothers. Some mothers stopped to deal with the situations. The rest of the respondents dealt with changes with their loved ones. The relationship between mothers and their teenage children in most cases deepened, rarely has been weakened or unchanged. Although mothers experienced these changes quite negative, most of them perceives adolescence of their children quite positive.
