Speed of Convergence to Equilibrium of Zero Range Process on a Binary Tree
Fajfrová, Lucie
Let us consider the zero range process with the symmetric random walk on a binary tree as the single particle law. The paper bring out an estimate of a rate of convergence of this process to equilibrium in the following sense. We find a lower bound of a spectral gap of finite volume processes. We distinguish two classes of speed function.

The present Master's thesis aims to evaluate the performance of horses in endurance competitions in Slovak Republic. The database used for consequent statistical analysis was developed by manual insertion of data from the 2008 -- 2012 years range. Control factors evaluated included ranking in competitions, the overall time spent to master the tracks, and the average speed of individual horses in endurance races. Examination based on the GLM statistical method proved a significant correlation between geographical location of the race and the rank achieved by individual competitors. Using the same method, it was found there is no statistical correlation between country of origin, gender, colour, breed, age, length of the track, year of the race nor year of birth of the horse; and rank in the race. Following multiple comparisons of results according to Scheffe's method and Tukey-B statistical test confirms there were neither highly significant differences nor significant differences observed in between individual control factors. Based on GLM statistical method, it was found that geographical location of the race, breed of the horse and length of the track do have a statistically high significant impact on overall time spent to master the track by the competitor. In contrast, it was found the country of origin, gender, colour, age, year of the race and year of birth of the horse do not have a statistically verifiable impact on the overall time spent to master the track. Examined under Scheffe's method, sample group consisting of Poland, Germany and Russia was found to be statistically significantly the worst out of all countries tested, with the highest average overall time spent to master the track. Conversely, Slovak Republic proved to have statistically significantly better results than Czech Republic, Hungary and the previously mentioned sample group consisting of Poland, Germany and Russia. Horses of Slovak Republic statistically achieved the best, therefore the shortest average overall time spent to master the track. Austria proved to have statistically significantly better results than Hungary and the sample group of countries mentioned above. Czech Republic proved to have statistically significantly better results than Hungary and sample group consisting of Poland, Germany and Russia. Based on GLM statistical method, it was found that country of origin, geographical location of the race, breed of the horse and length of the track do have a statistically high significant impact on average speed of the horse on track. In contrast, it was found that gender, colour, age, year of the race and year of birth of horses do not have a statistically verifiable impact on the average speed of the horse on track. Based on multiple comparisons of results according to Scheffe's method, the author observes significant differences in performance of horses originating from different countries. The sample group consisting of Poland, Germany and Russia proved to be statistically significantly the best, which means that horses originating from here achieved the highest average speed in races. The Slovak Republic proved to be statistically significantly worse than the Czech Republic, where Slovak horses performed worse in terms of the average speed than Czech horses.

In the final part of the research the reader will find a sample of home violence victims from Pilsen and surroundings who was questioned about her opinions on the mutual cooperation of the mentioned organizations including her additional comments and suggestions.

Schwarzer, Martin
This work was the structure of resonant spruce wood devoted to. The tree-ring widths and summer wood measure were measured. By use of non - destructive methods their acoustic properties were measured - speed of sound, acoustic constant, logarithmic decrement of damping, acoustic wave resistance, wood - density and Young's modulus. Data were statistically analyzed and the wood structure coefficient of variation for each specimen was calculated. There were three different methodologies for verification of the wood structure variability effect formulated. Subsequently, it was found that it is possible to determine the effect on the acoustic properties of the wood macroscopic structure variability.

Coupling and the speed of convergence of Markov chains
Macháček, Adam ; Prokešová, Michaela (advisor) ; Honzl, Ondřej (referee)
In the present work we study two methods for estimating the rate of convergence of marginal distribution of a discrete-time irre- ducible and aperiodic Markov chain to its stationary distribution (i.e. the speed of mixing). Firstly, we concentrate on deriving an upper bound for the rate of convergence by using the coupling technique. Moreover, we will also define the total variation distance and explain its role in the es- timation of the speed of mixing. In the second part we will study the me- thod of strong uniform times. Both methods are described in detail and several basic theorems are proved. Finally we demonstrate the use of both approaches on a number of models, particularly on the random walk on a hypercube and on shuffling a deck of cards. 1

Škody ohryzem, loupáním a následnými hnilobami v revíru Pluskovec
Ondryáš, Daniel
In the observed hunting district the most claimed damages have been caused by browsing and peeling over last five years. We have investigated 11 buck brushes in the 2nd -- 4th age group where level of damage caused by browsing and peeling with red deer was methodically examined and then compared with forestry files. In one of the most damaged buck brush detailed survey of 5 examples of tree trunks was carried out. In these bush brushes we have found out that average damage the amount of 33.45 %, in the forestry files the figure was 13 %. It is out of the question that our data are different from the data of the Czech Forestry Company; so we can suppose that the damages were overlooked or were collected after counting the damages. Average speed of widening the decay of Stereum sanguinoletum was 54.8 cm per year -1 and in horizontal bearing it was 1.82 cm per year -1. Age of hurt was about 10 years.

Design and verification file of compensation exercise in floorball in the junior category
MĚŘIČKA, Michal
Floorball is a modern sport in which speed and dynamics is applied, but there is a muscle imbalance caused due to one-sided loading as well. The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to suggest and check compensatory exercises in floorball club FBC Štíři České Budějovice. These exercises are focused on the category of 15 and 16-year-old boys who were put to the test of somatic measurement, motor coordination and functional muscle testing. According to the results of the entrance testing we suggest compensory exercises which are to be implemented into the training unit three times a week during four months. Afterwards we evaluate the function of the compensatory exercises by the final test which is identical to the entrance one. The results show us that the compensatory exercises assist in reducing muscle imbalance caused by playing floorball.

New Methods for Increasing Efficiency and Speed of Functional Verification
