Synantropis lepidopterans in Pelhřimov cemeteries
RŮŽIČKA, Libor
The presented study is to a degree a continuation to the author's bachelor thesis: Occurrence of Lepidoptera order within the district of Pelhrimov. This study is now focusing on the evaluation of research on moths found in five cemeteries located within this district during the year 2014. The area of interest is located in the south of the Czech republic, in the Region Vysocina. Measured from an entomological point of view, it is a cooler region with a lower diversity of the Lepidoptera order. Cemeteries in general represent very interesting localities well suited for entomological research, which has not been so far sufficiently recognized by members of the entomological academic community, but may represent a refugium in otherwise uniform landscape. During my research I recorded altogether 130 moth species during the period in question. The location number 5 (Cemetery in Cetoraz) has been evaluated as the one with the highest species richness, reaching documented occurrence of 63 species of the order Lepidoptera.

Mašitová, Petra ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Fukala, Radek (referee) ; Maur, Eduard (referee)
Inventories of inheritance of the early modem period nobility in the Principate of Opava and Krnov as a source ofhistory of every-dayness The universa! analysis and comparison of nobility's inventories of inheritance is an object of the work. Concemed inventories were built in years 1650-1740, the bottom limit is given by the end of Thirty Y ears' War (late leave of Swedish garrisons from north Moravian and Salesian region) and the top limit corresponds with dividing of Salesian principalities after the lost War of the Austrian Succession. Time definition of the work deliberately ignores year 1620, which is much too stressed as an important marker by Czech historiography. From geographical point of view we cover the region of Czech Silesia, namely historie principalities of Opava and Krnov. The resources' base consists of agenda, which is located in Land archive in Opava, in the fund District executive of Opava-Krnov's principality in Opava 1507-1784. There are over 300 inventory numbers in the aforementioned fund, which contains inheritance and trusteeship cases from the 16th to 18th century. I am interested in 20 inventories of persons, whose houses acted in the area of Upper Silesia: Eichendorf, Vlčkové of Dobrá Zemice, Bokové of Burgvice, Bruntálští of Vrbno, Hodicové of Hodice, Brixové of Moncle and...

"He has paid and owes nothing." Aspects of the transaction with the serf estate in the town of Mělník in the 17th century
Koumar, Jiří ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Maur, Eduard (referee) ; Chocholáč, Bronislav (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of property transfer of servile real estates in the Estate of Melnik during the 17 century. As the main resource material was used the collection of Melnik Books of Land Ownership founded during the 80s of the 16 century. After the Thirty Years' War these books were restored in connection with the afterwar reconstruction of the Estate of Melnik and were published in a new edition until the turn of the 17 and 18 century. Besides these Books of Land Ownership we also studied other kinds of resources such as land and duties registers, land-registries, inventories and estimations which originated in the 17 century with respect to this Estate. In the end of the 17 century was formed a uniquely preserved register of serfs which enables us not only to have better knowledge of the structure of settled farmers themselves but also create the first picture of general structure of servile population in the Estate. In the introduction I tried to place the Estate of Melnik in the structure of Early Modern Times country estates. With the size ranging from medium to smaller the Estate of Melnik was formally as a chamber estate in possession of the Czech king for the most of its development in the period of Early Modern Times. Nevertheless in reality the Estate as a pawned land was held by...

Irish Neutrality During the Second World War
Geaney, Kathleen Brenda ; Rovná, Lenka (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
The Second World War is a watershed in modern history from which no state was immune. Ireland, or, if so wished the twenty-six counties with its British dominion status, pursued a policy of neutrality throughout the conflict. It is this policy of neutrality, and its Irish interpretation, that we have chosen as the object of our analysis. During the war years and after, various myths concerning the Irish policy of neutrality came into being, One such myth, for instance, is that Ireland was pro-German; another that Ireland deliberately and actively helped Great Britain. The aim of this master's thesis is to uncover what Irish neutrality meant in reality. For this reason, the prevailing conditions, both external and internal are examined, inasmuch as such conditions not only influenced the form Irish neutrality took but even predetermined its existence. At the same time, the role of the individual in the whole process, in our case pre-eminently that of Eamon de Valera, is not overlooked.

The Rappresentation of War in Italo Calvino's works
ŠIMKOVÁ, Marie
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the Italian writer Italo Calvino's works dealing with World War II and his involvement in the antifascist resistance, in the light of the fact that his personal experience and views on historical events of that time run through his works. The chosen books are analyzed according to the chronology of events, not the publication years. The initial part of the study introduces the author in relation to his family background, as it had an impact on his education, which is very often reflected in his works. In the light of this fact, the first book mentioned is La strada di San Giovanni, which explains how Calvino's family was such a source of inspiration for him, and which he dedicated to his family. Along with it, is also mentioned the short story Il ricordo di una battaglia, one of the stories included in the book, in which the author describes the only real battle he actively took part in, together with the real events, with a gap of thirteen years. The first book to read is L'entrata in guerra where the author depicts the first days of the entry of Italy into Secondo World War. He describes his own memories though he never uses his name real name. The second book analyzed is Ultimo viene il corvo. It is a storybook made of many short length stories and various themes, and therefore only those regarding war are analyzed. The common trait of these stories is the frequent use of allegory which reduces the heavy atmosphere of the historical events of that period and at the same time enables the reader to get a deeper understanding of the text, depending on their knowledge of the historical background. The last book mentioned is Il sentiero dei nidi di ragno which, thanks to the author's choice of narrator, is extraordinary: it is a nine-year-old boy Pin, who describes his adventures and the general atmosphere of the period through a naive and pure point of view, even though the topics handled are war and the oppression felt by people who decided to fight against the Nazi regime. A huge contrast comes out of the whole story as Pin is going through a time of self-discovery, and also growing up without a family, and at the same time he stays on the borderline between two worlds: he cannot understand the children of his age, and yet he is still to young to fully comprehend the world of adults. A way out of this situation seems to be the path where spiders have their nests and which consequently leads him to the person that he is trying to find the whole time. In this book, the author's inclination towards a fairy tale style is evident and will be developed further in his later works. In order to explain the allegorical links, the meaning of the works and the reasons that led Calvino to write these books, the historical background of that period, and also the author's active involvement, notes on the resistance movement and the author's active participation in it are added throughout the whole work.
