Řízení lidí v multikulturním prostředí

The main objective of the thesis was to define and analyze key aspects of managerial work in multicultural environment, in one of the Shared Services Center department, of multinational company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Further thesis aimed to define essential competencies of the successful manager and leader driving performance of multicultural department and provides recommendations to improve managerial performance in key aspects of manager s work such as communication, motivation, performance management and cross-cultural leadership. It is argued that presence of intercultural interactions between managers and their subordinates, impacts effectiveness of the managerial performance. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. First part of the thesis explores theoretical concepts regarding culture, communication, motivation and leadership with respect to multicultural environment specifics. In the second part, used research methods, conducted research analysis and outcomes are presented. Further in practical part recommendation towards analyzed aspects of managerial work that would lead to higher overall department performance are defined.

Modern marketing communication tools and their use of a particular online store

This Master´s thesis entitled Modern marketing communication tools and their use of a particular online store dedicated to modern methods of promotion on the Internet market of fashion in the Czech Republic, namely the largest of these deals ZOOT.cz. The aim of the work is based on quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate the use of modern tools of marketing communication in the example mentioned internet business when compared with other entities. The theoretical part of this thesis provides a definition of Internet marketing and the entire online environment, as well as a description of various marketing tools along with outlining their modern forms. In the practical part is to analyse these tools with an online shop ZOOT.cz. The main sources of data are the results of a survey from ZOOT called Fashion Report, data from Sklik to new service Retargeting about the effectiveness of its use, as well as the conclusions of individual and group interviews with employees of ZOOT or internal documents online stores on the effectiveness of individual used instruments. The results of these studies show that if companies use modern marketing communication tools, they are still more emphasis on the rapid inclusion of innovations into business activities, providing superior customer service, but also a form of monitoring advertisements for competitors.

Aspects of the Pastoral Care in the Pauline Congregations

The thesis "Aspects of the Pastoral Care in the Pauline Congregations" presents some aspects of the praxis of pastoral care in the graeco-roman Antiquity and in the New Testament how it is principally revealed in the 1st Thessalonians. The main chapters of the thesis expose the chosen aspects of pastoral care like the function of imitation and examples, the role of the pastor in the pastoral act, the process of comforting or the caring congregations. But the research does not end with the comparison of the antic psychologic tradition with the Pauline practise; at least one modern social-psychological method is introduced in every chapter and they are used as a help for a different and sometimes maybe astonishing re-reading of the well-known Bible texts. The social connections analyzing social psychology helps the New Testament finding new methods and language to express the caring interactions between Paul and his congregations. This interdisciplinary thesis aims after binding the biblical texts with their contemporary context and the modern social psychology to reach a helping hand for the practical theology, mainly for pastoral care drawing the conclusion from the exegesis for our eneryday practise. Marketing communication of commercial insurance companies on social media

The diploma thesis deals with marketing communication of commercial insurance companies on social media. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the communication activities of commercial insurance companies on selected social media. Based on the identified state and detected interest in these communication activities by customers, recommendations are suggested for improvement of communication online commercial insurance companies to support the sales of insurance products. The first section defines the areas of insurance, marketing communication and social media. After that there is identification of activities that companies can perform on social media to increase brand awareness. These activities can be monitored, evaluated and after that optimized. In the second section there is identified the current state of commercial insurance activities on social media and detected interest in these activities from customers by using qualitative research. Based on these findings, draft recommendations are formulated on possible improvements to the current situation. The benefit of this thesis is the identification of the current state of commercial insurance activities on social media.

The Role of the Class Teacher at a Secondary Vocational School

The bachelor thesis addresses the issue of the role of a class teacher at the secondary vocational school and apprentice training school. The theoretical part deals with the explanation of the concept from mandatory curricula and subsequent connection with the activities and competence of the class teacher in teaching and direct educational activities, educational coordination, teachers' educational work in their classes, class teacher's forms of cooperation with legal representatives and school management, socialization of the individual and creation of class climate. The practical part is focused on description, procuring and realization of briefing by a class teacher before entering students to a secondary vocational school. It is monitored content and importance of presenting information, establishing of early cooperation with students' parents for their class teacher's future work. Addressed class teachers evaluate cooperation with legal representatives and the importance of briefing in the form of semistructured interview. The aim of qualitative research is to gain a comprehensive overview of presenting and gathering information for a class teacher's work in the form "Class teacher's guide during the first year at secondary vocational school". The importance of creating of the behaviour code for students and application in practice is given an example of realization of the excursion.

Monitoring Students' Activity at Omska's Gymnasium

Title: Monitoring Students' Physical Activity at Omska's Gymnasium. Purpose: Measure the physical activity level of students at Omska's Gymnasium to determine if the average student meets the prescribed physical standards. Tasks: study the literatura chaose appropriate measurement concepts for evaluating physical activity - take measurements using pedometers - define the research sample monitor through the use of pedometers and informal interviews perform statistical data analysis - compare and contrast the collected data against the theory Methods: The information collected, through the use of pedometers and supporting informal interviews, provided an overview of how students spend their free time and of their nutritional habits. Fish Population in Tributaries of Tepla Vltava River

Monitoring of fish populations in tributaries of Tepla Vltava River was performed in 2010. This survey was held in pre-selected localities. The aim was to detect the status of local ichthyofauna in terms of biodiversity, equitability, abundance, dominance and size variation. The results can be used for comparison with future researches at these localities. To catching fish was used the electrofishing. Each section was 200 m long and the electrofishing crew went upstream in entire width of the flow. Caught fish were determined, measured and carefully returned back to the stream. Based on acquired information was evaluated the status of fish populations. All together we have caught 7 fish species and 1 cyclostomes species ? brook lamprey. In terms of dominance took the first place brook trout (average 79 %) followed by the bullhead (12.9 %). Other protected and endangered species were: brook lamprey, fathead minnow and burbot. In terms of biodiversity was on the first place Olšinka (1.07), lowest biodiversity was on the brooks Jedlový, Houženský and Kubohuťský stream, the value of biodiversity was here 0. Highest equitability was calculated on the middle section of the Kaplický stream (0.95). The worst stream was the Jedlový stream. On 200 m long section of this stream occured only 9 pieces of brook trout.

Simulation of network structures

The simulation of network structures can be an effective method for example in teaching, research, or testing the network software, in order to lower the cost of building the real network structure that would be otherwise needed. Moreover, the simulated network can provide some advantages, e.g. simplified control and monitoring, statistical data collecting or visualization of the network behavior. This work focuses on the usage for teaching and testing; illustrates that existing network simulators are not always suitable for this purpose, suggests the architecture and design of a new solution, and offers implementation of the proposed simulation tool.

Animal Assisted Therapy in the Czech Republic in Relation to Professional Background and Dog-Handling Skills of the Therapists

In this piece I have attempted to perform descriptive quantitative research in the field of Animal-Assisted Activities and Animal-Assisted Therapies in the Czech Republic. I have placed emphasis on the professional background and dog handling skills of the dog-handler. I tried not only to focus on the impact of dogs on humans, but also to emphasize the importance of the personality of the therapist. I also consider the impact of different personality theories on the personality of the handler/therapist, and the importance of theoretical background and preparation in the given area in which the handler/therapist engages with dogs. Based on the positive respondent reactions, I trust that this research will prove to be of use to people involved in human-animal positive interactions.
