Role of the chancellor in the foreign policy of the Federal Republic of Germany: Angela Merkel
Farská, Kateřina ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
This master thesis is concerned with the role of the chancellor in the foreign policy with respect to the institutional possibilities that the German political system provides him, and also with respect to the personality of the chancellor - it strives to answer the question, if it is possible to identify the personality impact in the chancellor foreign policy positions. As the case example the current chancellor Angela Merkel has been chosen, who serves for a period long enough to carry out the research and who is at the same time well-respected personality abroad. The thesis comes to the conclusion that the chancellor has the rights to intervene in the foreign policy and uses those rights. By means of the discourse and content analysis of chancellor's speeches it has been possible to identify foreign policy preferences of the chancellor which can be associated with her personal life experience.

Optimalization of material flow in automotive industry
Kolář, Tomáš ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Vinš, Marek (referee)
This master thesis is focussed on optimalization of material flow in an automotive company. First part introduce theoretical background. Automotive industry and its actual trends on global markets. At first this area is showed in context of overall material flow. Shortly there are introduced processes and areas where full material packaging flows. Follows deeper analysis and optimalization of PC store itself. There are three approaches of stock and lead time reduction applied. Last part shows the comparison of initial and future state including performed changes.

Stiff Systems Analysis
Šátek, Václav ; Dalík, Josef (referee) ; Horová, Ivana (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
The solving of stiff systems is still a contemporary sophisticated problem. The basic problem is the absence of precise definition of stiff systems. A question is also how to detect the stiffness in a given system of differential equations. Implicit numerical methods are commonly used for solving stiff systems. The stability domains of these methods are relatively large but the order of them is low.   The thesis deals with numerical solution of ordinary differential equations, especially numerical calculations using Taylor series methods. The source of stiffness is analyzed and the possibility how to reduce stiffness             in systems of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is introduced. The possibility of detection stiff systems using explicit Taylor series terms is analyzed. The stability domains of explicit and implicit Taylor series are presented. The solutions of stiff systems using implicit Taylor series method are presented in many examples. The multiple arithmetic must be used in many cases. The new suitable parallel algorithm based on implicit Taylor series method with recurrent calculation of Taylor series terms and Newton iteration method (ITMRN) is proposed.

Effective using of potential of bilingual environment
HOVORKOVÁ, Eva
The dissertation thesis "How to use the potential of bilingual environment efficiently" endeavors to highlight bad as well as good practices in bilingual upbringing. Bilingualism represents at present a very topical issue. In connection with increasing globalization, the issue of learning of foreign languages is more and more emphasised. People living in mixed marriages have often no idea how to bring their children up. In many cases they take steps that lead to irreversible consequences. The theoretical part of the thesis gives a survey of bilingualism, the division and kinds of bilingualism and ways of its acquisiton. The theory is practically illustrated in the empirical part through various examples. 42 case studies have been carried out, which include characteristic and uncharacteristic respondents. The findings of the research are compared with the facts mentioned in the reference works. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to find out which educational methods should parents follow in bilingual education and which methods they should better avoid.

From Radioart to Musical Theatre
Jiřička, Lukáš ; KLÍMA, Miloslav (advisor) ; NOVOTNÝ, Pavel (referee)
This dissertation From Radioart to Musical Theatre aims at showing connections between seemingly different fields ? mainly sound-drama radioart, which in German is called Hörspiel, and musical theatre. In my dissertation, I try to define the characteristics as well as structural principles of text, space, sound, voice, acting, music and body in these transdisciplinary forms and genres, which have never retained any kind of purity in the traditional sense. In the analytical and introductory historical part of my dissertation, various seemingly different areas were introduced and discussed. These areas were musical or sound theatre in its general as well as specific form and its interrelation with sound installations, performance, radioart in form of Hörspiel, musical composition and sound art. In the following chapters, I used examples of several pivotal personalities from the German speaking area skilled in musical composition as well as directing and dramatics to present for instance the influence of musical structure on composition and other performing activities or the relationship of dramatic or literary model to its scenographic adaptation. The whole issue of relationships of disparate art forms is being showed on the examples of several artists ? directing composers who create these links thanks to their activity in various fields, as they intertwine musical and performing worlds on the level of structure, motifs and dramatics. The creators of such heterogeneous artworks using the strategy of the so-called negative dramatics are inherently split personalities - Heiner Goebbels, Helmut Oehring, Olga Neuwirth and Andreas Ammer. Goebbels as well as Oehring, Neuwirth and Ammer are able to make use of their experience with musical composition and/or work for the radio in the creation of musical performances in the way that they let particular composition techniques and staging be freely influenced by the knowledge of other media. Besides the above mentioned group of artists, I mention also other significant authors from the 20th and 21st century, who dealt with radioart, musical composition, collage and montage, performance and musical theatre - Bertolt Brecht, Dziga Vertov, Emil František Burian, Walter Ruttmann, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Dieter Schnebel, Georg Katzer, Friedrich Schenker, FM Einheit či Laurie Anderson and Georges Aperghis. Without the influence of the last fifty year-history of radioart, musical theatre would certainly not be such an important form of alternative theatre and performing art as such. Especially nowadays, when thanks to the emancipation and stressing of sound at the expense of acting a new stage language is being created within musical theatre, and the form itself transforms into yet little analysed field of the so-called postspectacular or mechanical theatre without actors.

Fish population on the river Dyje at NP Podyjí
Štrunc, David ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kuříková, Pavlína (referee)
This thesis is focused on changes of fish populations in the river Dyje located at the national park Podyjí. These changes are caused mostly due to presence of two large dams (Znojemská and Vranovská dam) between which w the study locality is situated. There are also other factors affecting ichtyofauna composition as piscivorous predators, non-native species or restocking of particular target species. First information about the fish populations appeared in year 1921. In that years, the locality contained species, that are not present at the river site at the moment. Examples given: sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) and danube salmon (Hucho hucho). These species extincions were associated with interupted fish migration between locality and Donau river basin. On the other hand, new fish pecies (that are not-native to Czech Republic and were not observed before 1921) started to appear during following years. From the former fish population of type Barbus-Chondrostoma the type changed to Salmo-Thymallus. Most of this change was caused by regular restocking of the salmonids. Since 1993 there is evidence on new presence of tolerant fish species that do not necesarilly need cold, flowing water. There is high probability, that this appearance is caused by slowing down the river stream and also the heating of the water, that takes place in the dam.

Alternation elites in the village Studená in 1948. The fates of two businessman and ganges of the small-town during the post-February.
BARTUŠEK, Petr
Annotation Through the analysis of the alternation of the elites in the municipality of Studená and the after - February fates of two businessmen, I tried to describe the transformations of the small town in the course of the period of three republics and mainly during the high Stalinism. I substantiated, inter alia, the replacement of the small town elites by two examples of Jan Satrapa and Karel Bartušek whose fates appeared to be very applicable for this way approached case study. I also attempted to record the changes of the common cultural and ideological period trends within this municipality. Directed through the specific fates, I described the shape of the small town after February 25, 1948 and compared it with the specialised literature thereby I tried to place the case of Studená in the contemporary context. To acheive the needed results, I used the sources of personal data and the memory data (family and municipal chronicles), conversations with survivors, and likewise the books of Vlasta Javořická. They proved to be extremely valuable sources.

Comparison of health care in the Czech Republic and Germany
Dutá, Sára ; Kocmánková Menšíková, Lucie (advisor) ; David, David (referee)
This thesis deals with comparing the two health systems, the differences between the quality of medical care in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, and more specifically with the individual physician access to the patient. The thesis explains in the theoretical part the basic concepts relating to the topic of health (the value of health and its determinants, lifestyle, prevention, illness, disease, health care, health care system and health policy) further discusses the Czech and German health care system and compares them basic structure, where the most fundamental difference is the difference of the German health system, which is divided into two levels, national and federal. The thesis also studies the role of the doctor and patient and the relationship between them. Secondary and comparative data analysis of the differences in health care in the Czech Republic and Germany showed that respondents are with care and physician access to the patient rather satisfied in Germany, although there are also drawbacks. Data obtained through semi-structured interviews show that views on health care varies according to the number of years spent in Germany (respondents who lived in Germany for example for 15 years, had with the local health care more experiences). Almost all interviewees seem to agree that the difference in health care in these countries is due to the differences in funds that are spent on health care. Annually put Germany on Health care about 11, 6% of GDP, of which 76.8% are public funds. On health care in the Czech Republic it is 7.5% of GDP. Participation in the payment of health care in the Czech Republic was 15.8%, Germany 23.5%. From the data obtained suggests that the quality of care affects the confidence in it and the need to treat the patient.
