Šrubařová, Jana ; Bukolský, Martin (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor)
The territory is located in the city of Brno, district Trnitá on the embankment of the river Svitava. The subject of the diploma thesis is the architectural study of the design of the urban spatial structure with intensive use of city urban area, designed in pre-diploma project, which preceded diploma thesis. The design will allow mixing of greater amount of different functions on a relatively small built-up area, which will reduce the requirements on transport and provide the inhabitant with various forms of housing, services and employment. The shape of object's ground plan is based on area, which is connected from three sides to access roads. The mass and spatial solution respects the surrounding buildings and uses existing bike trails and sidewalks in the southeastern part of the area. The basic matter of object is divided by three axes passing through the building, into three blocks linked by common internal block. This creates a square with a tree-lined atrium with seating under the trees. The shape of these three blocks is further formed by removing of the mass, which results into forming of atriums, terraces and balconies, which brings natural light into the interior while allowing illumination of the patio and surrounding buildings within the territory. This spatial structure is horizontally divided by functions. Designed here are underground public garages, passages with shops, services, administration / commerce and housing. Despite the diversity of functions, for the facade was chosen a unified character of white horizontal lines contrasting with the dark gray lines of windows and facade cladding.

First part sis consist of characteristics related to watershed and water flow, which are important for the understanding this work. The thesis also describes digitial terrain model, his creation and methods for obtainig digitial models. Then, there are described data sources from which is possible to gain digitial models. Next chapter is dedicated to the coordinate system. The last parts of this thesis describes drain alghorithms. Characteristic of this area was collected on experimental watershed Modrava II with the ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software that would mainly Spatial Analyst and ArcHydro extensions. The results of this diploma thesis can be concluded that the free digital terrain model SRTM 90 is not suitable for small regions with diverse terrain structure. Thereason is a small resolution model. Other terrain models provided free of chargé are sufficient even for small areas as the selected area of interest. Paid digitial models can al lbe established for the area of interest as appropriate.

The Role of Agriculture in the Care of the Historical Mountain Meadows in Sklenářovice
Wolfová, Tereza ; Vaněk, Jindřich (advisor) ; Fedurcová, Alena (referee)
This Bachelor´s theses informs about the degradation of the highland meadows in the Krkonoše region. The process was closely connected with the ressetlement of the original Germans after the 2nd World War. After that nobody wanted to move to this region because of very hard living conditions and mountain landscape. That is why many villages (including Sklenářovice) declined and became desserted. The village of Sklenářovice has very rich history, for example gold mining, a typical activity for the whole Rýchory highland massif. Therefore this Bachelor´s theses icludes also the summary of the most important historical events of this small mountain village situated in the northtern part of Trutnov region. For gaining all the information I used scientific literature and other information resources. The postwar transfer of the original German inhabitants influenced the life in the village and its surrouding landscape as well. It started to decline because of the lack of experienced farmers. Our forfathers made regular mow of meadows and bred the cattle in the pastures. Diversity of natural species was therefore very rich not only in the Sklenářovice valley but in the whole region. Unfortunately after the 2nd World War new comers didn´t know how care about the meadows properly. That is the reason why the meadows changed a became more and more overgrown. In the following years many things happened for example the establishing of forest brigades or state farming. All these things made the quality of meadows worse. The situation got better in the 90´s of the 20th century. People realised the necessity of returning to original farming so that its natural and landscape values can be renewed. We can see the start of many programmes for renewal of the original Krkonoše landscape. Most of them are under the leadership of the Administration of Krkonoše Mountains National Park. This Bachelor´s theses suggests the effiecient ways of farming in the meadows so that its natural biological diversity can be preserved. It also informs about its protected biotopes.
