State space formulations of dynamical problems
Kozánek, Jan
The 3n and 4n state space formulations of system of n linear second-order ordinary differential equations with special right side are proposed. The paper is concerned to an other than common understanding of resonant phenomena of dynamical systems

Proudění kolem profilu v kanále s dynamickými účinky
Fürst, J. ; Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The work deals with a numerical solution of steady and unsteady 2D inviscid incompressible flow over the profile NACA 0012 in a channel. The flow is described by the system of Euler equations. Cell-centered finite-volume scheme at quadrilateral C-mesh is used. Steady state solutions and also unsteady flows caused by the prescribed oscillations of the profile were computed. The method of artificial compressibility and the time dependent method are used for computation of the steady state solution.

Noise, vibration and electromagnetic phenomena produced by semiconductor converters in traction vehicles
Budek, P. ; Chmelíček, M. ; Jehlička, Vladimír ; Škramlík, Jiří
Due to the recent employment of up-to-date control electronic and electromechanical devices in cars of City Mass Transportation, new problems arise concerning the dynamics, noise, and the radiation of electromagnetic fields. Their environmental impacts, however, have not been discussed sufficiently, so far.

Parallel programming in molecular dynamics simulations
Pelikán, Vladimír ; Hora, Petr ; Machová, Anna
Molecular dynamics simulation is a well-established technique for modeling complex many-particle systems in diverse areas of physics and chemistry. The computational requirements of simulations of large systems are enormous. They make the use of high-performance parallel computers indispensable and have led to the development of a broad range of advanced algorithms for these machines. We have developed a classical molecular dynamics code in MPI based on Newtonian dynamics.

Steady and unsteady flow over a profile in a channel
Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The work deals with numerical solution of 2D inviscid incompressible flow over the profile NACA 0012 in a channel. The finite volume method in a form of cell-centered scheme at quadrilateral mesh is used. Governing system of equations is the system of Euler equations. Numerical results achieved at H-mesh and C-mesh are compared. The work presents computation of the steady states of the flow and also unsteady flow influenced by the prescribed oscillating behaviour of the profile.

Tram wheel modelling for dynamic analysis
Pešek, Luděk ; Veselý, Jan ; Podruh, J.
The wheels as vibration transformation elements and noise emitters substantially contribute to the tottal noise level of riding vehicle. Therefore rubber like material is also utilized for construction of the silent wheel. We aimed at investigation of dynamic behavior of raiway tram wheel with a special construction. The dynamic parameters of the wheel are studied. The numerical modelling, computation and analysis were performed in ANSYS Release 6 environment.

Impact damper with Hertz's dynamic contact
Půst, Ladislav
The paper contains results of analytical and numerical investigation of the oscillations of 2DOF system in which the amplitudes are limited by one- or two-sided stops. It is shown that the application of stops in absorber subsystem can get lower the amplitudes of basic external forced system approx to 50%. The efficiency of stops application on self-excited system is very low.
