Křížová, Natálie ; Lukášová, Tereza (advisor) ; Bartůsková, Lucia (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on mental health, which is becoming a socio-economic problem these days. Since there is a constant prevalence of patients with mental illnesses and thus an increase of a burden in the economic system, this work explains the system of psychiatric care, which is crucial for the future development of mental health of Czech population. Based on the analysis of the issue it is evident that the effort to manage the care system to community care will do not contribute to the reduction of treatment costs, but on the other hand, will facilitate the accessibility to psychiatric facilities for patients. The funding of psychiatric care is not based on the national health system, which influences the direction of a large part of the funds for treatment in psychiatric hospitals.

Chaloupková, Petra ; Hlaváčková, Ludmila (referee) ; Ebelová, Ivana (advisor)
This work traces a 95-year period of working of the Municipal Establishment for Deranged People (Zemský ústav pro choromyslné) in Prague. More exactly, it deals with the period from its foundation in 1791 until the origination of its successor institutions - the Czech and German Psychiatric Clinics in the year 1866. The first part of the work describes the foundation of the establishment, beginnings of its operation, its successive disaffiliation from the General Hospital (Všeobecná nemocnice), of which it was initially a part, its rapid building development, and the establishment's day-to-day life. In the year 1846, the establishment became a stand-alone medical institution, entirely independent of the hospital's management. It was a state charitable institution and, as such, it was financed by the state. It obtained additional funds for its operation from the fees for the provided care and other activities. The Chapter Two, which maps the years 1846-1864, addresses not only these financial matters, but also the establishment's separate administration and its other building and qualitative developments. The last Chapter is devoted to the period of the years 1864-1886 when the establishment was completely assigned to the administration of the Municipal Committee. It chronicles, in addition to administrative...

Vojta, Josef ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee) ; Struž, Jan (referee)
The reasons, why doctoral thesis named ?Competitive advantage based on working capital management during the economical recession period? has been compiled, are indentified as follows: ? Due to existing economical recession there is a deficiency of free foreign capital on the market and the price of capital is rapidly growing. ? There are some companies on the market, which are able to maintain the turnover dynamics and their business results (their ROI ratios) are significantly better than a market average. The two objectives of research have been stipulated: ? To prove whether there is a relation between the value of company?s working capital divided by the total turnover in the current period and the change of company?s turnover in the following period. The change of market value average shall be taken into account. ? To prove whether there is a relation between the company?s most liquid assets (receivables and short-term financial assets) divided by the value of total assets in the current period and company?s ROI ratio in the following period. These objectives have been achieved through extensive theoretical research at first, secondly through evaluation of empirical resources from a survey done based on data from 44 German companies connected with building industry between the years 2004 and 2007 and finally, the analysis and synthesis of these resources. The doctoral thesis clarifies the essential targets of working capital management, methods of company?s working capital optimization and reasons, why effective value of working capital could be seen as a source of company?s competitive advantage during economical recession period. The conclusions have pointed out that there is obvious delay of working capital optimization positive effects onto the company?s turnover dynamics and ROI ratios.

A historical view of the army nurse profession.
PAVLÍKOVÁ, Andrea
The thesis deals with the profession of a military nurse. We can assert that the official study of military, non-medical health-care related qualifications and its use in practice not only for military purposes dates back to the fifties of the last century. However, women as health care professionals, consequently in uniforms, have always been an actual issue. The development of health care activities always existed, however, we must not neglect influence of scientific and medical findings. The historical timeline of development of medical care in the battle field was recorded and ranges from pre-historical healing. The way of Christian medicine was negatively influenced by the Catholic Church. The dark period of the Middle Ages had actually wrested medical performance from the hands of specialists and the suffering were left to the "tender" mercies of the priests. The following part of the thesis concerns modern medicine where enlightenment reforms were exercised. Some of the original six-month courses for military surgeons were organised in this period of time; they weretransformed into Military Surgical Academy, out of which the famous Josefinum originated. A expression of humanity which supported a form of health care of war veterans was demonstrated by constructing buildings for invalid people. The second half of the nineteenth century is characterized by the phenomenon of the presence of nuns in military hospitals. This study goes further in depth of professionally organized healthcare right in the battle field, which dates back from the era of wars in the Crimea. This stage describes the transformation of caring into nursing which requires the necessity of specialized preparation of persons providing nursing practice. In addition, Henry Dunant engraved himself into the history of the profession of a nurse, as the founder of the Red Cross, who first trained health care professionals for working within armed intentions of the state. The continuation of this action sketches out the process of providing first aid in principal armed conflicts of the twentieth century. It describes the functioning of commander operated military health service of that time. WWI drove Czech medical staff to both sides of the front where they provided medical help to the injured. Nurses of the WWII already performed their duties in uniforms as the rightful members of the army. The thesis also mentions post-war usage of military health care professionals in secret foreign missions and their specialized erudition.Last but not least, it marginally discusses contemporary possibilities of modern health care service of the Army of the Czech Republic. The goal of the endeavours of writing this thesis was to chart out clearly the development of the profession of a military nurse within the historical context, focusing mainly on women coming from Czech regions. In order to make the history background concerning specific female participants of the world war conflicts understandable to the reader, this paper reports, in broader extension, peculiar medical and nursing findings, already from the era of prehistoric civilisations. The history study method were applied for the purpose of the theoretical thesis. The methodology is based on searching, studying, sorting and the consecutive systematic objective describing of the events from the past times with the intention to propose comprehensive report on the subject given. It was necessary to study inexhaustible amount of sources to obtain awareness of historical connections. Factual information was derived by analysing of primary and mainly secondary documents. The thesis sketches out histories of military health care and the profession of a military health care professional stemmed from the exploration of appropriate written sources and conclusion of the basic findings. The intentions of the work are not only to clarify the past but also to contribute to solutions of every-day issues.

Vácha, Jiří ; Scholz, Stefan (advisor) ; Kuthan, Jiří (referee)
I. Název bakalářské práce: Foundation and building history of St. Nicholas Church in the period of top and late Middle Ages and early modern period in the town České Budějovice1 II. Anotace: In my work I deal with not only the oldest period of building of St. Nicholas Church in the town České Budějovice in the 13-th and 14-th century, but I include new information into regional and church- administrative context. According new connections from literature written and non-written sources and new information I devide the building history into 3 periods connected with economical power and policy of town and reformatory transformation of the Church. The first period defines years 1265-1279, i.e. beginning of building the Church and date of it's interruption of money shortage. Maybe before 1297 was consecrated not finished. The second period defines years 1297-1335 and during this period was building of the Church. Last period is after 1335. And since that we have big source fund showing us Church area, altar beneficious and stay of clergy. We can see, that these historical periods are connected with economical and political power, which after 1265 looked for it's home. In the next part of my work I deal with foundation of town rectory, which was consecutive created besides much older, non-town rectory. The...
