Statistical Analysis of Air Pollution by Selected Pollutants
Pernicová, Veronika ; Durnová, Markéta (referee) ; Balgová, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis analyses an occurrence of detected pollutant concentrations of nitrogen oxides, dust particles of the size od 10 and 2,5 m and ground ozone in years 2015-2019 in seven chosen locations in Brno agglomeration. In the introduction, the thesis describes basic terms, the issues of air pollution and relevant legislation. Individual pollutants are defined and also their effect on environment and human health. After that, the locations of Brno, for which the analysis is made, is specified. The dynamics of development of individual pollutants is shown through a statistical analysis of individual time lines. The analysis also focuses on the difference in the level of pollution during weekdays, holidays, seasons or rush hour. The quantities are also viewed from the point of view of the relevant air pollution limits and the influence of climatic factors, which significantly affect their concentrations.
Forming of solid pollutants from biomass
Havlínová, Denisa ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is research and deals mainly with biomass and pollutants. In this section, we will find a two-dimensional distribution of biomass, a comparison of fuel forms and a discussion of basic pollutants with a focus on solid pollutants. The second part is experimental. It starts with a fuel laboratory, where the water, ash and heat content of the biofuels examined is determined. The following is an investigation of the dependence of the PM formation on the properties of the biomass, which was measured by the measurement of these PM by the filters in the collecting device, while the examined biofuels were gradually burned on the fireplace insert.
Environmental aspects heating
Vypušťáková, Veronika ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor´s thesis is ecological impacts of heating. The first part contains information on selected pollutants that adversely affect the environment and human health. The second part is devoted to the comparison of pollutants in boilers for solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. The last third part focuses on proposals for measures to eliminate undesirable effects of pollutants.
Ecological status of Lake Baikal
Mongolova, Marina ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to study the ecological status of Lake Baikal. The research focuses on the main problems related to the impact of human activity on the lake. During the study, data on the hydrochemistry of the lake and its tributaries were analysed and scientific papers on the ecological status of Lake Baikal were reviewed. Based on the data were identified the main types of pollutants and places of their concentration. As a result of this work was obtained a more complete picture of the condition of Lake Baikal and were identified its main problems.

Vliv čistíren odpadních vod na kvalitu rybářsky obhospodařovaných vod
Pluháček, Vojtěch
PLUHÁČEK, Vojtěch. Influence of sewage treatment plant on quality of fishery managed water. Bachelor. Mendel University in Brno. This work deals with influence of sewage treatment plant recycling sewage pro-duced by agglomeration of about 15k resident population on small steam with flow about 0,3 m3.s-1. At first the methodology for the evaluation is set, then influence is evaluated. In the discussion chapter is the simulation of hypothetical state when the sewage goes directly to the steam.
Vztah znečištění ovzduší a zdraví obyvatel vybraných regionů
Hausknechtová, Kamila
The theme of this thesis is the study of the relationship between air pollution and human health in selected countries and regions NUTS II. In the part of literary research are defined theoretical bases that approach the issue of air pollution and the development of social attitudes to the questions about environmental issues. Results of scientific studies dealing with the impact of air pollution on health are presented. The next part is being examined the degree of concentration of selected substances (PM2,5; PM10; NO2) in the years 2000-2019 and illness with a consequence of death from respiratory infections, trachea, bronchial and lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases and respiratory diseases. A comparison of these results shows the association between the development of air pollution and the number of deaths only in cardiovascular diseases. At the same time, no correlation of the results compared between the development of air pollution by PM2.5 particles of selected NUTS II regions and the development of healthy life expectancy was identified.
Low emission zones as an instrument of air protection in selected European Union's states focusing on the Czech Republic
Vaňhara, Martin ; Žákovská, Karolina (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
The presented diploma thesis provides the comprehensive presentation about the low emission zones that become more and more used instrument of air protection in european metropolises and in smaller cities. There are already circa sixty low emission zones in Deutschland, in the Czech Republic this instrument hasn't been used yet. Therefore the diploma thesis' determined goal was to analyze the legal regulation of the low emissions zones to clearify the division consisting in absence of low emission zones in the Czech Republic. Systematicall structure of the diploma thesis into six part is the result of the author's aim to make the presentation transparent. The first part of the diploma thesis represents the introduction into the theme of the air protection and provides a brief overview of relevant legal regulations just as the analysis of air pollutants including their negative effect on the peopel's health and on the environment. The author provides the presentation of transport regulation possibilities that the cities are able to realize (excluding the low emission zones). The third part deals with the implementation of the low emission zones into the czech law and with the development of legal regulation of the low emission zones. The detailed analysis of current legal regulation regarding the...

Basic haematological parameters and their influencing by pollutants in common carp a review
POLANSKÁ, Daniela
The objective of this study was to describe the methods of determining the main haematological parameters and obtain as much information as possible about pollutants that may influence them. The subject of this thesis is the common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.). As far as pollutants are concerned, I focused on nitrogen compounds (ammonia, nitrite and cyanide), metals (Zn, Cu, Fe), heavy metals (Hg, Cd, Pb, Cr), petroleum substances, pesticides (organophosphates, triazines and diazines, pyrethroids), pharmaceuticals and natural supplements and persistent organic pollutants. Collected information imply that heavy metals and pesticides have the most important effect on haematological parameters of the common carp. Heavy metals cause changes in haematological parameters and cell anomalies and pesticides may cause haematopoietic failure, which especially means a decrease of number of red blood cells, the concentration of haemoglobin, the haematocrit value and the changes in the presence of different leukocyte forms. This study summarizes the knowledge of the effects of the aforementioned pollutants and highlights the danger of their effect as well as the possible threat to fish health, not just of the common carp. The information dealing with the effects of many pollutants on the blood parameters of fish is missing in available scientific literature.
