The paper deals with less researched topic of job related (re)integration of unstabilized drug users. It is a comparative study of two emplyoment agencies - the Prague based PSA SANANIM and Wiena based WBB. Case studies derived from these agencies are compared through the scope of provided social services, methodology of work and other factors that are part of the functioning process of the agencies. The study takes into account different conditions in which the above mentioned agencies operate, specificaly: active policy of employment and setting the national drug policy priorities of the Czech Republic and Austria. Research data are based on research papers and specialized texts in Czech and German languages, statistical bulletins, lessons learned during internship conducted abroad, case histories and dekurses of clients PSA. Conclusions serve to improve methodology of emplyoment consultancy for unstabilized clients. It also detects factors that are so far limiting.

Arsenic Contamination of Waters in the World

Summary: In this bachelor thesis there are summarized reasons of occurrence of too high As concentration in groundwater abroad and possibilities of the water treatment. There are mentioned mainly the Asian countries, where there were proved the cases of serious diseases of inhabitants in connection with long-term consumption of the water from the shallow groundwater in the area of big river deltas. Arsenic is released to the groundwater from the iron oxides by natural process in reductive environment (due to the oxidation of organic matter). In the arid climate areas in Asia or South America, there are also localities of high As groundwater. The groundwater in these arid areas is more saline and the reason of high As concentration there is the oxidation of sulphide minerals. Then there are given the other examples of arsenic release by the oxidation of pyrite in the gold (or tin) mining areas etc. Another source of arsenic in water is a geothermal system. A suitable method for the arsenic removal from water is a coprecipitation of iron and As (V).

Mapping approaches of youth drop-in centres and outreach social services to xenophobia and racism among adolescents

The thesis concentrates on Approaches of youth drop-in centers and outreach services towards xenophobia and racism among teenagers. It deals with topics, such as xenophobia, racism, situation of Czech society concerning these two issues and the legal view point towards it. It describes the period of growing up, what features and reasons of xenophobia and racism appear among the teenage group. It characterizes a growing up person as a user of social services. The thesis describes inspirational approaches of multicultural education heading towards development of tolerance, possibilities of education and approaches to xenophobia and racism of various organizations. Further on, it gives a number of examples of experiences from several other European countries. It introduces social services of youth drop-in centers and outreach services. It mainly deals with approaches of both services towards working with teenage clients who show signs of xenophobia and racism. The practical part of the thesis discovers approaches of social workers of various youth drop-in centers and outreach services in the Czech Republic towards xenophobia and racism among teenager clients. Národná banka Slovenska a přijetí eura

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá měnovou politikou Národní banky Slovenska po vzniku samostatné Slovenské republiky, až po měnovou politiku zaměřenou na snahu o dosažení přijetí eura jako svého národního platidla v naplánovaném termínu, tedy od 1. ledna 2009. Práce dále řeší otázku praktického zavedení eura do hotovostního a bezhotovostního oběhu, spojenou s nutností zabezpečení ochrany spotřebitelů. Na závěr práce uvádím příklady zemí, které euro zavedly v nedávné době. Jedná se o Slovinko, které vstoupilo mezi země eurozóny od 1. ledna 2007 a o Kypr a Maltu, které tak učinily 1.ledna 2008. Na příkladu těchto zemí, které už mají úspěšné přijmutí eura za sebou se snažím ukázat, na jaké oblasti by se mělo Slovensko více zaměřit a naopak z čeho si vzít příklad pokud chce euro zavést stejně hladce jako tyto země.
