Utilization of the running power meter STRYD in determining the dynamic parameters of running footwear and their impact on the performance of an endurance runner
Shánělová, Štěpánka ; Kundera, Václav (referee) ; Pavelka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with the findings of running performance in two different types of running shoes. The differences in performance generated by the runner in each type of shoe are observed. The theoretical part discusses the methodology of running training, the evolution of running shoes, the monitored running parameters with a focus on running power. The second part of the thesis is practical, where the methodology of data collection and data processing is explained. Furthermore, the results are interpreted.
Automation of the calibration process
Mařas, Michael ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the automation of the calibration process at the workplace for calibration of electronic power meters and the description of the method of evaluation of calibration results. The paper analyses the calibration workstation and the manual method of calibration performed by the calibration laboratory staff. Furthermore, proposals for automating the manual method of calibration and a description of the implementation of a program for automating this process are given. Subsequently, the uncertainty analysis is described in the paper. In this section, the uncertainty analysis according to the GUM method and the subsequent calculation of these uncertainties are presented. The correctness of the calculation of uncertainties according to the GUM method is verified by the Monte Carlo method. In the last part of the work, the method of evaluation of the calibration results according to ILAC-G8:09/2019 is described and the form of the calibration protocol is described.
Calculation of the cyclist's power output based on data from shoe pressure insoles
Teturová, Iveta ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Hrbotický, Lukáš (advisor)
Překlad abstraktu The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the question of utilizing pressure values measured by pressure inserts for calculating the performance of cyclists. Since this method has not been used in cycling before, the result of this work can be applied to expanding the methods of measuring performance in this sport in the future. The goal was to verify whether the use of this conversion is applicable in practice. This goal was verified by obtaining data during practical measurements, subsequent analysis of this data, and comparison of the results with other methods currently used for measuring performance in cycling.
Reduction in the Consumption of Electrical Energy during Computer Network
Doležal, Michal ; Zbytovský, Jan (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the analysis problem during of electrical energy. On the basis of findings, the work includes analysis of the costs on electrical energy.
Single-phase wattmeter
Kolouch, Petr ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with wattmeters. The introduction is devoted to approach the issue. Subsequently, the principle of sensing of circumferential quantities, sampling theory and basic theory is explained. The next chapter discusses Arduino development kits. The practical part deals with the design of the circuit diagram and the printed circuit board. Further described is designed software. The final part tests the parameters of the designed power meter.
Logger pulse from wattmeter
Severa, Pavel ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
Most electronic wattmeter contains output for processing information on the con- sumption of other devices. The aim of this semestral project is to create a suitable device for reading output from power meter, store this information on the removable medium in size and ability to integrate into the distribution cabinet. Among other things, will monitor and record mode cheaper electricity, known as night mode.)
Wattmeters for cycling
Hrbotický, Lukáš ; Hanák, Petr (referee) ; Korvas, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis talking about problematics of measuring the wattage of cycling on a road bike. It describes ways in which it is possible to measure the wattage on the bike and explains functional principle of power meters. As practical part of this thesis the measurement is performed according to the proposed test protocol. Based on the analysis and processing of the obtained data, the accuracy of individual types of meter performance is discussed.
Energy meter with PLC communication
Szalbot, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
Our thesis is about development of equipment, which combine two technology. First technology is wattmeter which is used to energy measurement and second is Power line communication. Wattmeter needs two variables for measurement, voltage and current. Voltage measurement is less difficult than measurement of current. Voltage can be reduce and measured by A/D converter. Current has to be transform to voltage and than can be measured same way. To do that we use current transformer. Than we design program for the microcontroller, involvement and PCB. Wattmeter is connect to PLC modem which has been chosen. Fusing this two technology we create wattmeter network. Next step was program which is used to network control and data collecting. This data are used to create charts in web application.
Determination of performance in cycling
Papp, Dominik ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on increasing trend of measuring mechanic power in cycling. The research part shows types of power meters and shown their function. Important part in measuring power is strain gauge. Because of that, they were described, divide into category and shown their deficiencies. Theoretic knowledge has been verified by numeric simulation in Ansys.
