Facts limiting work performance

The topic of the submitted diploma thesis are matters which restrict the performance of work activity as legal facts which cause a temporary suspension of work obligation. Therefore it interferes fundamentally into the labor-law relationship between the employee and the employer. As no employment contract is carried out, it brings along significant effects, especially on the social status of the employee. At the same time the employer faces difficulties connected with organization of assignments as well as increased costs of workforce. The author of the thesis strives for a comprehensive description of this issue. In the first part of the thesis she gets a understanding of general definition of obstacles at work and their consequences in the labor-law relationship. The impact of obstacles on the stability of the employment, trial period and vacation is described in detail. In the next part of the thesis the author deals with the current law concerning individual obstacles at work. She examines its necessity and up-to-dateness as well as the possibilities of future directions and changes of the law de lege ferenda. Comparison of wage compensation and sickness insurance in the Czech Republic and Great Britain in the period 2007 - 2016

This bachelor thesis provides an analysis of wage compensation and sickness insurance in the Czech Republic and analysis of wage compensation in the Great Britain. The differences between aforementioned systems emerge from different approach to social policy. The British system arised from a liberal model of social state. On the other hand, Czech system arised from a redistributive model. In the Czech model, higher social benefits are provided. It makes higher pressure on the state budget. Benefits in the British model are at a low level and are tested by income. The Czech system provides a higher salary replacement rate than the British system. The Czech system is more solid and provides higher coverage ratio of mandatory spendings. But the British system offers absolute equivalence. All employees in the Great Britain recieve the same amount of wage compensation.
The development of sickness insurance in the Czech Republic

The main goal of the bachelor thesis was to show the development of changes in the sickness insurance in the Czech Republic considering last 5 years. It was also supposed to analyze the changes and their influence on the groups of insured people. The first part of the bachelor thesis focused on the theoretical development of the sickness insurance legislative adjustment. There was not only described the comprehensive legislative adjustment but also the development of changes since 2009 to 2014. The second part of this bachelor thesis focused on the calculation of the sick leave benefits for model examples according to the legislative adjustment. Their results were compared with the changes in the legislative adjustment during the mentioned period. The practical part includes the analysis itself and the evaluation of the impact of the changes in the sick leave insurance during last 5 years. The impact of the changes on the groups of insured people was analyzed and evaluated in the practical part's conclusion. Also the results of the legislative adjustment impact on the insured people were summed up. The main points which were analyzed and evaluated: The incomes and the expenses for the sickness insurance; mainly the legislative adjustment impact on the specific examples was analyzed. The development of the reduction limits. The development of the percentage for calculation of the sickness insurance benefits. Sick leave benefits proceeding. The administrative period compliance. The processing of the sick leave benefits wit the enforcement deduction. The development of the temporary incapability for work, which included some of the main indicators: The number of the people who ended their incapability to work; the number of people whose incapability for work was ended by the decision of the OSSZ; The total number of the days when people didn't work due to illness; The average time of illness; The compliance of the treatment regimen inspection. In the end the main goal of this bachelor thesis became the interpretation of the changes in the new law number 187/2006 Sb., about sickness insurance, as amended, effective since January 1st 2009. Together with the adoption of this law many essential changes were made.
The impact of the waiting period implementation on the sickness insurance in the Czech Republic in the years from 2008 to 2014

This bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of the waiting period into the sickness insurance in the Czech Republic in the years from 2008 to 2014. The theoretical part explains the fundamental concepts related to the sickness insurance, the health insurance allowance and the waiting period. The practical part consists of a legal analysis and the current happening around the waiting period in the Czech Republic or in the EU and EFTA member states. The income and expenditure analysis of the sickness insurance helps to reveal that the costs of sickness insurance have decreased, which was also due to the implementation of the waiting period. This work evaluates data, which indicate that the short-term morbidity has decreased as well as the work incapacity. There are detailed calculations in the conclusion which show how adjustments in the sickness insurance changed the amount of wage compensation and the sick benefits. The aim of this work is to identify and quantify the benefits and costs of the waiting period implementation within the sickness insurance in the Czech Republic.
Development of sickness insurance and its impact on profit company

The thesis is focused on the development of health insurance benefits under the social security system in the Czech Republic. Aiming to secure people for future social events, which may be predictable (age) or unpredictable (disability, funeral, sickness, widowhood, etc.) and prevent poverty or the worst consequences. This thesis briefly describes the system of social security. More specifically focuses on health insurance, health insurance benefits and their development. It also contains the characteristics of the selected business entity and cost analysis of selected companies of employing workers and their absence from work, which is associated with the payment of sickness benefits. Finally, it presents the identification of direct and indirect costs associated with health insurance benefits and their impact on the profit of the selected business entity. The conclusion describes the effect of the payment of health insurance benefits for profit companies, including negative and positive impacts.
