Recent trends in education of the unemployed people in Denmark and the Czech Republic

The objective of master thesis "Recent trends in education of the unemployed people in Denmark and the Czech Republic" is to describe active labour market policy of Denmark and the Czech Republic. The focus is specifically on young unemployed people representing the group with the highest unemployment rate on the Europeans labour market. This master thesis introduces to the instruments of active labour market policy and focuses especially on education as the most effective instrument of active labour market policy. The thesis is a theoretical study, working with relevant information sources of these two countries and with documents of EU. The result of this thesis is to be acquainted with the recent trends of this area, e.g. support of the further education or internships as an instrument of education in praxis. The Impact of Unemployed Education on Their Applicability in the Labour Market

This bachelor thesis examines the impact of unemployed education on their applicability in the labour market. The theoretical section delimits the basic terms concerning unemployment and describes its development and state of present-day in the Czech Republic, especially focusing on the South Bohemian Region. Afterwards it summarizes possibilities of unemployment education a characterizes demands of labour market in the region in question. It informs as well about former projects for the unemployed in the South Bohemian Region funded by the European Social Fund.
The aim of this thesis is attained in the practical section through several case studies, where five stories of clients who participate on some project for the unemployed in the South Bohemia are described. For each of these clients there are personal and family analyses and the situation in the labour market before the beginning of project. Using an interview method, reasons contributing to taking part in the project, educational activities attended and skills acquired during it, and finally the impacts of this education on clients' applicability in the labour market and their personal development from the long-term view are discussed.
