Influencing gait stereotype in post-stroke patients with unstable knee joint through physiotherapy
Plevová, Kristýna ; Pochylová, Barbora (advisor) ; Šenderová, Karolína (referee)
The title of the work: Influencing gait stereotype in post stroke patients with unstable knee joint through physiotherapy Abstract: Physiotherapy with patients after a vascular brain stroke is a complex process which requires multidiscplinary care. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to find out whether it is possible to influence instability of the knee joint with the hemiparetic patiens by means of physiotherapy. The objectivity of results has been ensured by the implementation of standardized tests: the Rivermead visual gait assessment and the Timed Up and Go Test. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of vascular brain strokes, functional anatomy of the knee joint, the gait cycle and its analysis, the pathological gait stereotype with hemiparetic patients and the possibility of the unstable knee joint therapy with these patiens. In the practical section I described the methodology, the methods used during the research, the aim of this thesis and the research sample. A part of this section are two case studies and the description of their therapy development. By means of a standardized test and a video recording of the patients'gait I compared the stability of the knee joint before and after the therapy. The results have answered the basic questions asked in this thesis. Key words: hemiparetic...
The evaluation of gait and balance tests in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery
Chejnovská, Lucie ; Čakrt, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hrubá, Silvie (referee)
The thesis deals with the evaluation of gait and balance tests in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery. The experimental part focuses on the evaluation of dynamics of walking tests during hospitalization of patients diagnosed with vestibular schwannoma. The aim of the experimental part is also to analyze statistically significant correlations between measurable parameters of vestibulo-ocular reflex and walking tests and to evaluate the correlation between the subjective scale of fall fear and the objective assessment of walking and dynamic postural stability. A total of 28 patients aged 33 to 68 (14 men and 14 women) were incuded in the research with diagnosed vestibular schwannoma. Measurements were performed three times in patients (before surgery, after surgery and before the end of hospitalization). After the surgery, in addition to standard rehabilitation, training with visual biofeedback was included using the interactive Homebalance system. Gait and balance assessments were performed throug the tests Timed Up and Go, Four Step Square Test and Functional Gait Assessment. Examinations were complemented by a questionnaire of subjective assessment of fear of falling Falls Efficacy Scale. Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation coefficient in the correlation of Four Step...
The possibilities of influencing the stability of walking in geriatric patients
Hloušková, Pavlína ; Čápová, Eva (advisor) ; Homolková, Alena (referee)
Title of thesis: The possibilities of influencing the stability of walking in geriatric patients Abstract: This bacherol thesis addresses gait disorder therapy in geriatric patients. Good stability is a fundamental prerequisite for quality gait. The stable and quality gait is key to preserve the self-sufficiency, therefore the physiotherapy bears great importance. The theoretic part aims at the geriatric patient and lists possibilities how we can influence the stability. The practical part contains the case study of two patients with the goal to verify one of the possibilities how to influence stability in the real life. The method of senzimotor stimulation was choosen. The terapies were going on in two weeks. Both patients had undergone ten therapies and every took approximately 30 minutes. For comparison, we have used standardized tests which are described in the theoretical part. The output testing confirm the improvement, was achieved better gait stability and certainty in both cases. Key words: geriatric patient, stability, gait, walking investigation, sensorimotor

The Gait Analysis of People with the Multiple Sclerosis
Havlištová, Michaela ; Ježková, Martina (advisor) ; Káfuňková, Petra (referee)
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is one of the most frequent reason of disability of people in productive age. Fatiglle and motor impairment affect the qllality of patients' life. This bachelor thesis focllses on the gait assessment of people aftlicted with the MS. It describes differences of gait of people aftlicted with the MS in compare to healthy people. The thesis shows clinical tests and relevant functional scales which can be lused for the gait assessment in any clinical practice. Instrumental methods of gait assessment are not discussed. There is one casllistry of people affected with the MS in practice pati ofthe thesis and inf1l1ence of the Vojta's therapy on these gait tests (TUG, T25FW, 1 OMWT, DGI and 6MWT).
