Employability of university graduates in the Czech Republic and the possibilities they have to improve their prospects on the labour market 2015–2016

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of employability of university graduates in the Czech Republic and the possibilities they have to improve their prospects on the labour market. The text analyses specific factors affecting the employability of graduates and it also provides an outlook on the situation from the employer's point of view. Research method used is the questionnaire survey that analyses the most important requirements of the companies. Second part of the research focuses on the university graduates, analyses their work experience and extracurricular activities and how beneficial that can be in finding a new job position. The aim of the thesis is to asses current situation of the university graduates in connection with the requirements of the employers. The diploma thesis confirmed that having a work experience during university significantly helps to find an employment in the future. The last part of the thesis also provides suggestions to improve the current situation of university graduates.
School-to-work transition process - participation of secondary schools and employers in this process in the Karlovy Vary Region

Diploma thesis analyzes the process of school-to-work transition in theory and practice. The practical part focuses on the specifics in the Czech Republic and the Karlovy Vary region. The aim is to assess the links between high schools and their students / graduates and employers in the region and the environment in which they interact. The main contribution of this work is to analyze the problem on the example of the Karlovy Vary region through pilot verification and define the main characteristics and deficiencies in the school-to-work transtition process. The main weaknesses of this process are insufficient work habits and working experiences of graduates, improperly selected field of study, lack of interest in studying and low motivation to work. To improve the situation should help to strengthen the links between secondary schools, students / graduates and employers and increasing the involvement of employers in education as is the case in the dual education system.
Youth unemployment - problems of European labor markets

This thesis focuses on youth unemployment. Youth belongs to disadvantaged groups in the labour market, so they are given special attention. The thesis aims on identification of youth unemployment. It uses a questionnaire survey among young unemployed and recruiters. The outcome will be recommendations to improve the labour market situation.

The Bachelor thesis concerns students decisions about the further educational or professional career. The theoretic part focuses on educational possibilities of secondary school alumnus, the integration into the labour market including. This part concentrates on the social influence, which have effect on the students decisions about the futher education or finding a job. The influence of the family is described into more details. The aim of the practical part of this bachelor thesis was to make a questionnaire survey. It shows all the influences and the role of the family, friends and pedagogical or consulting workers. The questionnaire shows also if students want to study at university or if they decide to entry the labour market directly.
