The High Pressure Fuel System Application for CI-engine

This thesis focuses on the design of new high pressure injection system application on diesel engine. The design came from company Zetor’s demands. For this application was chosen system Common Rail supplied by company Bosch. Assignment was separated into several tasks. Research of suitable components for low pressure section, design of waste system and high pressure injection tubes design including injector clamping. Due to injectors used in this system was necessary to redesign cover for valves and even new system to lead wires from outside of the engine to injectors. Injector is attached by screw connection, which is composed from screw and clamping jaw. These parts are subjected to an analytic calculations. Clamping jaw of injector is even subjected to a FEM analysis, which focuses on fatigue life. Finally, the drawings were documented.

Furthermore, there is an overview of the most commonly used injection systems with the principle of operation, advantages and disadvantages of the embodiment. There is also processed the issue of the emission standards. This thesis contains a list of the world's leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles and their injection systems. Finally there is a reflection on the future development of injection systems.
Injection System Build-in on Tractor Engine

The aim of this work is to design the installation of a new injection system to the existing tractor engines and construct new components necessary for proper function of the injection. In the following section is suggesting the location of other accessories for engine control. This is an injection system with a pressure reservoir "Common Rail" and all its components are created in modeling environment PTC Creo 2.0. Designed components are tested for strength and they are subjected to modal analysis.

This master's thesis deals with application of modern injection system Common Rail on six-cylinder CI engine. One of aims of thesis is to get a large overview of pressure accumulator injection system and explore the development in this area. Among main aims of the thesis belong a new construction layout in Pro/Engineer, accomplishing of static and dynamic analyse of most important parts via the finite element method (FME) and necessary control calculations. Finally, the design documentation of new most essential designed parts will be made. During making the thesis necessary source materials obtained from Vývojový ústav traktorů a.s. of Zetor Group company was made use of.

This diploma thesis with a view to „common rail system for 4-cylinder CI-engine“ deals with the application of modern injection system „common rail“ to already existing compression-ignition tractor engine. The diploma thesis treats of the most necessary adjustments related with the replacement of injection systems which was solved in the way of the minimum adjustments. This kind of solution deals with an economic aspect of the problem. The reconstruction contains the engineering design of development of high pressure components and the suitability of their placing on engine.The primary adjustment of the application of system „common rail“ for existing tractor engine confirmed the possibility of this reconstruction.

This master’s thesis deals with building the most modern injection systém Common-Rail for four-cylinder tractor diesel engine. The following application is a conversion from a obsolete system with inline injection pumps. Because the costs for this conversion must be minimized, that it is effort of minimal intervention in engine design. First this master’s thesis focuses on the theory of injection systems of diesel engines and related things and then the thesis shows the design conversion supported analytical calculations and FEM analysis of newly designed components.

The first part deals with the fuel system, which describes the preparation of fuel mixture. There are brief descriptions of individual system components and explains their functions. The main part deals with the injection device, which describes the specific technical solutions used in the past and in the present. Each system is discussed from a construction point of view and its functions. The last chapter describes the contemporary development of injection systems associated with complications and limitations.

Thesis introduces in the first part the injection systems of CI and tractor engines and related issues. In the next part is solved the conversion of engine, design of most important components - injetor, high pressure pump, pressure accumulator and high-pressure pipes and then stress analysis of new components.
