Leisure Time of Roma Children and Youth at Prague 3

Thesis supervisor doc. PhDr. Monika Nová, Ph.D. MPH The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes leisure time - the history of leisure time, functions and leisure time of children and youth. It also describes the Roma community, the history of Roma in the Czech Republic and the topic of integration, segregation, discrimination and social exclusion of Romani people. It also focuses on Roma children and youth and their leisure time. The theoretical part concludes with a list of institutions working with Roma children and youth in Prague 3. In the practical part, a quantitative method was used to collect data through a questionnaire survey. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out how Roma children and youth in Prague 3 spend their leisure time.
Leisure time and leisure activities of middle school age pupils in Slaný

This bachelor thesis deals with leisure time and leisure activities of middle school age pupils in Slaný. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and research. The theoretical part describes and defines the basic concepts related to the work, such as leisure, leisure education, leisure education facilities and characteristics of secondary school-age children. The last chapter is then devoted to a brief description and characteristics of leisure education in Slaný. The research part elaborates on a questionnaire survey conducted among sixth and seventh grade pupils of primary school in Slaný. The main objectives were to find out how pupils spend their free time, what leisure activities and clubs they prefer in their free time and whether or not there is satisfaction with the offer of leisure activities in Slaný. The results have been processed into tables and graphs and the data from the research reflect the current situation. Priorities of school club

In my dissertation I focused on the priorities of Bernard Bolzano o.p.s. school club in Tábor. In the theoretic part of my dissertation I mention leisure time in connection with children, historical development of leisure time pedagogy, functions, forms and activities of interest education, relationships and communication, definition of a school club and its advantages, school club participants, framework education programme and key competencies. In the practical part of the dissertation I made a research on priorities of a school club. On this basis I created various hypotheses. The veracity or inveracity of the hypotheses should have been verified by a questionnaire formed by research questions. Special additional questions of a structured dialogue with parents and educators of the school club served to specify the research. The evaluation of questionnaires and dialogues has brought the verification of the hypotheses.
Interaction of Leisure Educator and Chilďs Family

In my bachelor work I deal with the topic of pedagogue and family interaction within leisure activities. This work is divided in a theoretical part and an analytical part dealing with the selection of facilities and the cooperation of pedagogue and parents in particular facilities operating a certain leisure activity. The theoretical part describes the terms: leisure time and leisure facilities; family and its attitude towards leisure time, the influence of family on child's leisure time; cooperation and possibilities of its use, advantages and disadvantages. The next part of the work is focused on particular facilities. It outlines cooperation possibilities and selection of some facilities the programs of which reflect in a way the interaction of the parents and the pedagogue. The information was gained from concrete websites of the individual facilities. The selected types of facilities include: community and primary schools, after-school clubs, leisure time centres and kindergardens. The goal is to map the offers of institutions dealing with different ways of leisure time use in cooperation with parents.
Comparison of the spare time activities offer at the juinor schools in České Budějovice.

This work offers us the comparison of the spare time activities offer within all junior schools in České Budějovice. Theoretical part describes spare time, education during spare time and spare time pedagogue characteristics. Further, it acquaints us with the offer of leisure time activities, division of spare time activities and institutions which organize a spare time. Practical part includes the survey of spare time activities offer within various junior schools from the point of view of their division and according of the particular activities. We can find here the numbers of particular activities, their complete overview as well as their total numbers at all schools together. Further we can compare numbers of various activities at particular schools in the České Budějovice town. In concluding part there are three schools used as example, where we can see an overview of the particular spare time activities attendance.
Diagnostics of Interests in the Pubescence

This work inquires into diagnostics of teenagers` interests and its using into educational process. My work is devided into three main parts, which dissertate generally about interests, about interests` in the pubescence and about possibilities of interests` diagnostics. The first part disserts on interests generally, it engages in free time activities and facilities which can offer them. The second part characterizes pubescence and teenagers` interests in this period. An attention is devoted to factors, which are partaken in forming and creating interests by an effort, which goes with this difficult period. Then also free time activities which are the way of prevention against social patological effects of teenagers. The third part represents pedagogical and psychological diagnostics, which is interested in diagnostics of free time activities and diagnostics of personality.
