Chování studentů středních škol při výběru vysoké školy
Rivola, Filip
This diploma thesis deals with the behaviour of secondary school students in choosing a university. As a part of the marketing research, an orientation analysis and a follow-up questionnaire have been carried out. As the first sample of respondents there are students from the first year of study at universities (n=316), as the second sample of respondents there are secondary school students who attend the last year of study before their secondary school-leaving examination (n=343). The last part of the marketing research consists of in-depth interviews with the same sample of respondents mentioned above, for each sample of respondents there are 10 in-depth interviews. For in-depth interviews, respondents have also evaluated selected university promotional tools. Based on the results, students' behaviour has been analysed and described, and recommendations for universities based in the Moravian and Silesian region have been proposed. These recommendations serve for better university promotion to prospective students.
The link of education and popularization of astronomy with the choice of a future focus of study
Kříček, Radek ; Wolf, Marek (advisor) ; Kireš, Marián (referee) ; Štefl, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis provides an overview of Czech astronomy education both inside and outside of school environment and develops methods to explore its possible influence on science career decision. A mixed approach was chosen for the research. Based on the first qualitative part, hypotheses and specified research questions were formulated. Consequently, the hypotheses were examined using questionnaires distributed to students of several Czech universities. However, the data analysis showed a variable stronger than involvement in astronomy education - the breadth of science interest. Possible practical outcomes and recommendations for future research are discussed.
Motivation Analysis among the Students of the Faculty of Management in relation to their Choice of Branches of Study and a Faculty
Janotová, Lenka ; Hiršová, Miloslava (advisor) ; Novotná, Eliška (referee)
My work is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part results from the term motivation and other knowledge related to this topic. It outlines the reasons for the individual behavior - his needs, values, interests etc. The main objective of the theoretical part was to create a conceptual frame for the practical part. The focus of the practical parts lies in the field research aimed at the discovery of specific factors which have an influence on the motivation for studies at the Faculty of management.
