Software support for design of data distribution
Karásek, Stanislav ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mrákava, Petr (advisor)
This work serves as a basic guide to designing such a data distribution. The first chapters deal with the basics of computer networks. They are mentioned types of networks and major hardware elements and topology. The work is mainly focused on a LAN connection to the buildings and the extensive use of technological objects. The following is a basic description of the transmission cables, among which today is dominating type of twisted pair cable. The future is based on cable-based optics, however. Their brief description is here as well. For better orientation in how to design work is included in the chapter on structured cabling. Mentioned are sections of the cabling system, the differences between them and their purpose. Furthermore, the category of twisted pair, that played an important role in structured cabling systems for the past 20-30 years. Description of technical standards, defining structured cabling, terminating the theoretical part. The practical part describes the computer programs, focusing on the design of data distribution. Of these selected AutoCAD Electrical 2011, as the best and most acceptable user tool. The program is broken down and explained the importance of its basic features and mechanisms. For a better understanding of the work is created with the program video tutorial the written commentary. These videos are designed for absolute beginners, but some knowledge will appreciate the more experienced designers. This series of videos made from the student's actions in the AutoCAD preview to the final drawing the cable into the prepared plan. Floor plan of the building together with a random series video tutorial is located on the CD, which is attached to this thesis.

Suggestion and creation of video tutorials for facilitation of education of informatics
Haberzettl, David ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pražský, Petr (referee)
The goal of this thesis is analysis of requirements for creating video tutorials and suggesting methodics for its creation to facilitate the teaching of informatics at the University of economics, Prague. The major purpose introduces the formation of unified methodics for creation video tutorials which fulfill teching requirements on the faculty of information technologies. Thesis is focused to analyse and test available software solutions enabling creation of video tutorials and screencasting. Theoretical part contains introduction to e-learning and sumarization of available software solutions, their advantages and disadvantages and further choice of ideal software solution for established unified methodical work.
E-learning - new interactive teaching methods with an emphasis on multimedia
Budinský, Michal ; Krsek, Libor (advisor) ; Horný, Stanislav (referee)
E-learning - new interactive teaching methods with an emphasis on multimedia The author's main focus is to introduce new concepts, general approaches to current teaching and point out new methods and techniques in the specific area of learning called e-learning. The theoretical part explains the key terms concerning the issues of distance learning using e-learning, and also involves classification and clarification of these key terms that are often being confused by general audience. A small overview of the history helps to characterize the breakthrough technologies of the last century, which have started a new era of scientific disciplines in education. An integral part of e-leaning is multimedia through which is possible to design and use the educational materials directly in teaching. A wide spectrum of multimedia, interactive communication capabilities and the importance of their usage in education, makes e-learning a universally flexible training model which is due to rapid progress in technology more important than ever before. The practical part of the work characterizes a program which is able to create a complete educational material with a possibility of feedback in form of testing and verification of student's knowledge. Furthermore, this program describes the procedure of making video tutorial, which can serve as a medium for the studying itself or as a supplement for live presentations in the classroom. The conclusion highlights the advantages and shortcomings of e-learning and provides the author's contemplation concerning the issues related to the creation of the tutorial and the overall contribution of this thesis.
Preparing of multimedia learning materials for support teaching
Pacourek, Kryštof ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Benáčanová, Helena (referee)
Thesis deals with the multimedia, their use in education and the creation of multimedia educational materials, serving to support the teaching of Informatics at the University of Economics in Prague. Specifically, the creation of video tutorials whose content is graphic solution of selected tasks in text editor MS Word. Created tutorials are then confronted with the users in the evaluation feedback. The thesis documents the process of creating from planning to final distribution, provides used and alternative tools and last but not least, states comments and recommendations resulting from the experience of own creation. Furthermore, the thesis deals with ensuring suitable distribution of video tutorials to users by using web services and definition of visual style, which should serve followers, who have decided to expand the collection. The thesis itself should also serve as a tool and set of procedures for teachers and trainers who would like to implement multimedia materials and integrate them into their own teaching. The thesis evaluates a questionnaire survey where respondents are asked about multimedia in their learning process. The questionnaire also provided space for feedback, where users rated created multimedia materials. Last the questionnaire was aimed to map the use of portable devices that support multimedia and their potential in relation to teaching.
