REVITALIZATION AND SPATIAL CULTIVATION DOMINICAN MONASTERY IN ZNOJMO

The project deals with the revitalization and spatial cultivation of the Dominican monastery with adjacent parish in Znojmo. The monastery is located near the castle walls in the historic center of Znojmo, on the street Dolní Česká. Gradually, should be its conversion from the original method of use to a new use, in order not to delay construction and degradation due to an empty object. The complex, its location and the actual functionality offers precondition for the formation of a community center with associated social housing. The community center should use the premises of the monastery, along with commerce and parishes. Living on the contrary, the rectory and the newly created mass in the courtyard.

Student Bc. Michaela Ráčková in her diploma thesis will be deal with a phenomenon of revitalization of church buildings, especially design of reconversion of the former vicarage and its surroundings in the village Přítluky in South Moravia. Church buildings as churches, vicarages, convents have always been determining and dominant element in the formation of settlements. Their clear and often privileged position in the structure of settlements was determined by relationship of man to faith. This position remained them despite many ups and downs and church buildings still play an important role in the environment in which we live.

The impact of reconversion on the value of a former church building in South Moravia

The diploma thesis deals with specific case of valuation of the former vicarage in the village Přítluky in South Moravia. The basic idea is to evaluate the imact of change in the purpose of use associated with building reconstruction, from view of market approach and also valid valuation laws. First part deals with theoretical basis as valuation terms, laws and approaches. Next chapter describes specific situation of the site and the building and in the last part is described and justified own valuation methods. Results are analyzed at the end.

Educational Needs of Pastors at Church of the Brethren

This bachelor's thesis aims to analyse the educational needs of the pastors in the Church of the Bretheren denomination in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the situation and position of churches in the Czech republic. Later in the chapter the Church of the Bretheren is introduced. Chapter 2 describes the job title of pastor in the Church of the Bretheren, the pastor's roles, rights and duties and pastor's job desription. In the chapter is a proposal of the pastor's needed competencies. Chapter 3 presents existing opportunities for education for pastors. Also in Chapter 3, study plans of chosen educational institutions are analysed and compared with proposed competencies. The third chapter leads to chapter 4 which contents an analysis of the educational needs of the pastors at the Church of the Bretheren. The aim of this analysis is to identify the existing educational needs and to find out how these educational needs were fulfilled during the internal church preparatory vicar program. Liturgic Music in the Pisek and Tabor Regions

The aim of my thesis is to map out the state of liturgical music in particular parishes of the Písek and Tábor vicarages. My Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part explains a conception of liturgical music. This part also presents documents concerning liturgical music published by the representatives of the Church. At the end of the theoretical part I present a structure of the mass with an explanation of its particular passages. The practical part is focused on interpretation of liturgical music in particular parishes of the Písek and Tábor vicarages.

Catechetic Activities during the Liturgical Year with Younger School Children in the České Budějovice Diocese

The dissertation deals with the matter of catechetic activities during the liturgical year with younger school children applied to the activities in the vicarages of the České Budějovice diocese. The theoretical framework defines the liturgical year and characterizes its individual parts as well as its periodical and linear time systems. The second part deals with sensorial, motional and intellectual qualities of younger school children from the points of view of the evolutional psychology and religious education. The third part describes catechetics, catechetic activities, catechesis and its goals, definition and substantiality. The practical part contains a questionnaire carried out within the eleven vicarages of the České Budějovice diocese through vicarage catechetic representatives finding out the particular catechetic activities in their vicarage. The evaluation and concluding assessment with the sample of documentation of the activities during the liturgical year in the Town of České Budějovice vicarage concludes the dissertation.
