Documentation of MTB Trails Malhostovice - Brno
Schwarz, Jakub ; Soukup, František (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to measure MTB route Malhostovice - Brno using hiking GPS. From the measurements were made vertical and directional profiles of the route, and assessment of their accuracy. Then vertical and directional profiles of the tourist maps were made. The result is a comparison of horizontal and vertical profiles in their height and position.
DRONE-BASED VERTICAL MEASUREMENTS OF BLACK CARBON AEROSOLS AT A RURAL BACKGROUND AND AN URBAN SITE
Julaha, Kajal ; Zíková, Naděžda ; Ždímal, Vladimír
Black Carbon (BC) aerosols are primary particles emitted into the atmosphere as a by-product of incomplete combustion processes. BC absorbs solar radiation and altersthe radiation budget of the Earth(Bond et al., 2013). The radiative properties of BC heavily depend on its vertical profiles(Haywood and Ramaswamy, 1998). For example, BC in the free troposphere can enhance its radiative forcing by trapping energy emitted from lower cloud layers. \nThe modeling-based studies on BC vertical distribution are particularly poor (Chen et al., 2022), creating a need to measure the vertical distribution of BC on a regional scale, from areas characterized by anthropogenic emissions from the ground to those characterized by long-range transport(Ramana et al., 2010). Among all the other methods, drones have recently gained popularity because of their high-cost efficiency, flexibility, and mobility. Besides comparing BC aerosol vertical distribution at an urban and a regional background site, this study also calibrates drone measurements using a 230-meter tower.

Measurement of the vertical profile of the ground level of the atmosphere using an unmanned platform First results
Novotný, J. ; Bystrický, R. ; Dejinal, K. ; Trusina, Jan ; Komínková, Kateřina
Application of new technologies such as unmanned platforms is also on the rise in meteorology. The paper brings the first comparison of measurement sensors placed on the drone with standard meteorological measure-ments on the mast. The mast data provides continuous data over time, but not in space and only in five defined heights. The first results show a good match between mast measurements and measurements using a flying dron in wind direction and wind speed. Additional influences specific to the newly designed measurement method is the main problem, which must be solved.
Size segregated aerosol within atmospheric boundary layer
Traxmandlová, Nikola ; Hovorka, Jan (advisor) ; Jančík, Petr (referee)
Phenomenon of industrial grounds placed near residential areas can be frequently detected in European cities, which may cause decrease of air quality in these areas. The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine level of concentration and size distribution of aerosol in the planetary boundary layer above the residential area and industrial complex of Škoda auto a.s. in Mladá Boleslav city by using remotely controlled airship. Thereby, the thesis extends terrestrial experiment realized in February and March 2013 which revealed no significant impact of industry and traffic on air quality. Size distribution and concentration of aerosol particles in range from 11.5nm to 10µm with integration time one second or one minute (depending on measure mode - SINGLE or SCAN) was measured by two aerosol spectrometers placed in dirigible gondola during 13 flights on February 11, 2015. SINGLE mode lead the airship in one stable flight level during one flight above residential area and industrial complex of Škoda auto a.s. Whereas SCAN mode changed flight level every two minutes during the flight of airship above sports fields in residential zone only. Exhausts of car painting halls and place of automobile loading were identified as the sources of nanoparticles, PM1 a PM2.5 and coarse aerosol in the industrial area...

Approximation of velocity distribution in open channel flow
Ivanova, Irina ; Vlasák, Pavel ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Kysela, Bohuš
The paper deals with approximation of spatial distribution of mean downstream velocity of sub-critical turbulent flow in an open rectangular channel with rough bed. New formulae of the local downstream velocity component Vx(y, z) dependence on the vertical coordinate y and lateral coordinate z were introduced. The vertical velocity profile was approximated by log-law and the power law was used to describe the effect of channel walls on the horizontal velocity profile. The suggested formulae of spatial downstream velocity component distribution were calibrated and verified using the experimental data obtained by PIV method. The proposed approximation is in good agreement with experimental data, the difference between experimental and calculated data is in range of 5 - 10% except the area near the channel’s corners and water level, where the maximal difference reaches 60% and 30% of experimental values, respectively.
