Conceptual design of a gear tester for space applications
Florián, Vojtěch ; Černohlávek, Mikuláš (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a conceptual design of gears tester for space applications. The tester must simulate space conditions and test whether the gear can operate in those conditions. It is more important to test the wheel material than its geometry. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, a search of current knowledge of the issue is created. The second part describes several conceptual designs of testers and their models. Subsequently, a concept that can most faithfully simulate real conditions in low orbit is selected and described in detail. The final design of this concept will facilitate the testing of gears and minimize their failure rate during operation.
Experimental study on satellite´s passive thermal-regulation units
Teoretická časť práce stručne skúma rôzne pasívne termálne kontrolné systémy použí- vane v kozmických zariadeniach, vrátane termálnych medzivrstiev, a vysvetľuje pozadie tejto práce. Táto práca ďalej skúma rôzne termálne medzivrstvy, predovšetkým povlaky a fólie, a uvádza výber vhodnej termálnej medzivrstvy.
Special Laboratory Techniques
Boháčová, Zdeňka ; Merna,, Jan (referee) ; Richtera, Lukáš (advisor)
Manipulation with the materials that are very sensitive towards moisture and (or) oxygen requires controlled environment with acceptable content of these undesired species in the range of ppm units. The knowledge of vacuum techniques, techniques of the dry box and Schlenk techniques is necessary in the area of inorganic, organic, and especially organometallic and polymer syntheses. General procedures that are related to these techniques are described in many lecture notes and monographs, but the graphic form which can enhance correct understanding, is often very poor. The thesis is divided into eight chapters, beginning with laboratory safety, risk assessment and the first aid. Following chapter brings useful literature sources. Used glassware, laboratory equipment and accessories and special techniques are described in other chapters. The aim of this work was to create the study materials which could be utilized by the workers dealing with the syntheses of organometallic complexes, catalytic precursors for polymerization and polymerization in itself in the laboratory of polymer synthesis at the Faculty of Chemistry, BUT.
Design of end effector for collaborative robot
Taoufik, Ismael ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of end effector for collaborative robot which manipulates with RFID labels. The first part of this thesis is theoretical and deals with collaborative robots and end effector for these collaborative robots. The second part of this thesis is practical and begins with selecting the suitable collaborative robot to tackle this issue and then there are presented several variants of end effectors where is again chosen the suitable one. In the next step there are made design calculations for the chosen variant followed by verifications consisted of practical tests of functionality and CFD simulation. According to made verifications is developed the final construction solution of the chosen end effector variant that includes a commentary about the construction documentation. The next step consists of making risk analysis used for reducing the risks leading to increase the workplace safety. In the last part is made an estimation of the cost of eventual production of one piece of the end effector protype.
Transitional motion analysis of the optically trapped particle in under-damped regime
Sűsserová, Martina ; Damková, Jana (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the transition phenomenon, which occurs when the nanoparticles enter the laser beam. Thereafter the particle is anchored around the point of focus of this beam. The main objectives of the thesis were to illustrate the dependence of the trajectory positions in relation to its instantaneous values and to obtain the parameters of the attenuated harmonic oscillator whose character is characteristic for the particle inserting the beam. Another objective of the thesis was to apply frequency filters to signal data and to observe their effects on phase diagrams and also to visualize the behavior of the particle in the vicinity of the focus in the stationary state.
Development of UHV STM/AFM
Pavelec, Jiří ; Neuman, Jan (referee) ; Kalousek, Radek (advisor)
The main focus of the thesis is on the actuator, which is used for nanopositioning of laser beam in-site AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy). The appropriate shape of supply pulse and frequencies were searched and optimized. They make slip-stick motion of the piezo actuator. Possibilities of solving troubles with UHV (Ultra High Vacuum) are described on the basis of experiment and simulation.
Functional organic-inorganic nanostructures
Kelíšek, Petr ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with preparation of multilayered organic-inorganic nanostructures via PECVD technology and analysis of optical properties of these layers by spectroscopic ellipsometry. The theoretical part handles the definition of thin layers, layered and gradient nanostructures, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition and principles of spectroscopic ellipsometry. In the experimental part, used materials and chemicals are described, afterwards follow a complete description of the apparatus used for sample preparation and a description of the sample preparation procedure. The results part consists of methodology of preparing material models necessary for ellipsometric measurements and evaluation of optical properties of deposited nanolayers.
Study of behavior of fiber structures under low pressure
Heliová, Magdaléna ; Peterková, Jitka (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with study of behavior of fibrous organic insulants under greatly reduced pressure (even to vacuum). Development, production and durability of vacuum insulating panels are described in the theoretical part as well as principles of heat transfer. Method for production of core of VIP, created using waste fibers from textile industry and agriculture, is described in the practical part. Verification of behavior during normal and reduced pressure (even to vacuum) was carried out on experimentally made core insulants.
Investigation of high voltage influence on different materials in high and low vacuum
Šedivý, Matúš ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
The beginning of this thesis contains an overview of properties of the insulators, and description of insulators that were used for in depth research of surface breakdown in vacuum. Furthermore, this work focuses on mechanisms of an electric breakdown initiation at the interface of the solid insulator and surrounding low pressure gas. Multiple methods for measurements of dielectric strength are examined. The experimental part describes the measurements performed in the vacuum chamber. The results of these measurements are then analysed. In conclusion, used insulators are compared and suggestions for further work are given.
